INICIAR SESIÓN“Who's she?” The Lycan Prince stopped him from going further. I still maintained my stance even though my wobbled legs keep trembling. I just couldn't tell why the Lycan Prince was interested in me. “She is nothing but a mere slave who has no value at all,” Alpha Xavier answered and reached out to me, forcing me to my knees. I yelped in pain. “I want her!” His tone was commanding, putting me off. I forced myself to raise my head and I saw the cold eyes of the Prince staring down at me as disbelief washed over me. What the hell did he just say? Was I sure I heard him right? The Lycan Prince retreated his steps and armed hands clutched to my body, pulling me up. I found my voice. “No, no, you can't do this!” I screamed but it was all in vain. I was dragged away. ********* After she got rejected by the Alpha King who hated her because she was the daughter of a traitor, the Lycan Prince came to her aid and suddenly requested she should be given to him. The Alpha King accepted, thinking handling Mira to the ruthless Lycan Prince would be her worst nightmare. Meanwhile, the Lycan Prince has asked for Mira not just because he took pity on her but because he felt she was a weapon he desperately needed to break the curse that has been casted on him. Would Mira be able to reach out to the Lycan's expectation or rather would she be put under hostage just as the Alpha King has thought? What happens when Mira gets caught up between the two Kings and her enemies?

I walked around my room, agitated. I couldn't understand why I was so unhappy even though today was my coronation. Just when I was drowning in my thoughts, Zadar walked in, his presence commanding respect. Just the sight of him disgusted me and it added to my sadness. Zadar, the man who took the Alpha status forcefully without my consent. My parents had died when I was young, thanks to the treacherous Beta, Richard Troost who killed them and because I was still a lad, I couldn't take the Alpha status since everyone claimed that I wouldn't be able to handle the task that came with being an Alpha. I agree but Zadar was the worst person to have taken the position.
Every time I remember that my parents could have probably been alive today but because of the evil Beta who took their lives, I was always filled with so much contempt for everyone who tried to cross paths with my Alpha position which was why I promised to ruin the life of his only daughter just as he ruined my life. Making her a slave wasn't just enough punishment for her father’s evil deeds, I'll make sure she has no reason to ever smile again.
“Look at you, you don't seem like someone ready to take the Alpha’s position. Do you realize that being an Alpha entails a lot? You have to be fast and effective. You don't need to be distracted at all,” the aggressive man in his late sixties uttered. “I thought you would be dressed by now but it seems like you are not ready yet.”
I stared at him with my set of mean eyes. What gave him the audacity to speak to me like I was a toddler? When would he ever stop speaking down on me?
I roamed my eyes all over him and I couldn't help but scoff. He was overdressed. One would think he was the new Alpha with the type of elegant robe he was putting on, even better than mine. It was just like he was still trying to take my place even on my coronation day. I felt terrible.
Thinking of it, I knew I needed to find a way to deal with him, as the new Alpha. The Alpha's position was mine to begin with and I needed to claim it, firstly by winning the hearts of the people then I’ll make sure I deal with Zadar accordingly.
He interrupted my thoughts again. “You should get ready by now,” he uttered with a command tone. “ Don't forget that the Lycan King is invited. Although he won't be attending, the Lycan Prince will surely be here because he has a meeting close to the pack. You'd better get ready and don't put us to shame,” he declared, staring coldly at me. He never spoke to me, he was always controlling.
“I am not a child anymore, and of course, I will not disgrace my pack,” I voiced out, calmly trying to maintain a good atmosphere on the most important day of my life.
I heard him scoff. “If you claim you are not a child then you have to act like it.”
Letting out a heavy sigh, I answered. “Don't worry about me, I'll take good care of the Lycan Prince. You can stop worrying now, you're not in charge of the pack anymore, your role has ended today,” I said, deliberately.
Just as expected, his devious laughter came out, irritating me in the process. “My role may have ended, but make sure that you don’t tamper with any of the things I have worked so hard to build when you were younger.”
I rolled my eyes. Useless things that never helped the pack grow? “Of course, I won't. I have no business with your achievements. I'm focused on building mine too.” I retorted.
The hatred in his eyes showed how upset he was with my words. He nodded his head aggressively and walked away. I cared less about how he felt and I just wanted to make sure that I got the trust of the pack members as the new Alpha.
Not long after Zadar left, I heard a knock on the door and I gestured for the person to come in, only for me to raise my head to see the most annoying person I wished I shouldn't have seen for that day. Mira, the traitor’s daughter. I became more enraged. Why is she in my room on a day like this and why is she holding my clothes?
“What are you doing here, you disgusting being?!” I fired without thinking twice. “Have you gone out of your mind?!” I shrieked, letting my anger take over me. “Your father is the reason why my life is this miserable, can’t you still understand? Why can't you see that I despise you alot and I don't want to see you anywhere around me? What exactly is your problem?” I took threatening steps towards her.
“I- I- 'm sorry, I just wanted t—”
“Don't you dare say a word, idiot! What the hell are you doing here?”
“I was told to bring in your clothes,” she uttered with a shaky voice.
“Will you shut it? And how dare you touch my clothes? You should be punished for this. Kneel and beg for forgiveness, you low slave.”
I watched as she went on her knees to apologize like a little child and it irritated me the more. I wanted to kick her out so badly that I couldn't help but move closer to her. But just as I pulled on her hair, about to kick her on her, I felt something triggering, a very weird feeling that I have never felt before.
It can't be! I shook violently as I stared at her in disgust, pulling myself backwards from her. My wolf growling in the process. “No, no. We can't be mates!” I bellowed, inquisitively.
“My mate?” She responded with her mouth agape and I felt like hitting her across her face but my wolf became so drawn to her that I couldn't take a step.
It was hard. I restrained myself so badly to go to her even when my mate wanted more. What the hell is happening? Why will I be mates to this low slave whose father destroyed my life? I was devastated and didn't know when my mouth opened up to speak. I just knew I needed to get rid of her. “I reject you to be my mate, you can not be my mate. I, Xavier Alex, the soon-to-be Alpha reject you as my mate!” I growled heavily as the pain of rejection surged over me. “How can such a lowly slave like you who disgusts me be my mate? I will never accept you.”
She lowered her head which I knew was because she was feeling the same pain but to my amazement, she spoke up. “I, Mira Troost, accept your rejection,” she countered, relentlessly and my eyes shone out in shock.
“What? How dare you?!” My voice trembled as I spoke. How can she accept my rejection just like that? I was taken aback. Has she prepared to reject me already? She couldn't even beg for me to reconsider her, she has no remorse at all. I was expecting her to break down yet she was doing the opposite. What guts does she have? She seemed strong and it got on my nerves. I won't let this happen. I won't make her go scotfree, I’ll make sure I break the spirit of hers.
The words on the ancient page refused to leave my mind.Only a woman carrying this blood may break the curse of a Lycan King.I stared at the writing. Then at Prince Perry. “So that means…”“It means nothing yet.” His answer was immediate.I frowned. “But the book—”“Ancient records are not proof.” He closed the book. His expression had returned to its usual coldness. But I could see something different in his eyes. He was thinking.“Then why did you bring me here?”“To find the truth.” He stood and walked toward another section of the library.I followed. “Prince Perry, do you think I have this bloodline?”He stopped. “I don't know.”“Do you think my scent is connected to it?”His eyes met mine. “Possibly.”I swallowed. “And the visions?”“Possibly connected too.” He turned toward the shelves.“But possibilities aren't enough.”His fingers moved across several old books before stopping. “These records belonged to the first Lycan rulers.” He pulled out a thick black volume. “The oldes
Mira's Pov I couldn't stop thinking about the woman. Even after Prince Perry left the library, the image remained trapped inside my mind. The dark forest. The blood. The white dress. The blade. And those terrified eyes.I had never seen the woman before. Yet somehow, I felt as if I knew her. That frightened me more than the vision itself. I sat beside the library window, staring outside. My wolf was restless. She kept pacing inside me, reacting to something I couldn't understand. The door opened. I immediately looked up. Prince Perry entered. His expression was colder than usual. Behind him stood two palace guards carrying several old books. “Leave them.”The guards placed the books on the table and left.I stood. “What are those?”“Records.”“About the vision?” I asked, curiously. “Yes.”I stared at him. “You believe it was real?”Perry looked at me. “I saw it.”I nodded and said quietly. “So did I.”His eyes narrowed. “You saw it too?”I nodded. “The moment our hands touched.”He
Mira's PovI knew something was wrong the moment I woke up. A man was standing outside my bedroom door. He was dressed in the dark-blue uniform of the Blue Ivory palace guards, his silver sword strapped firmly to his waist. He looked at me. I looked at him. Then I looked down the corridor. “Why are you standing there?”“I have been assigned to protect you.”I frowned. “By whom?”The guard straightened. “Prince Perry.”Of course. I folded my arms. “I don't need a guard.”“That isn't my decision.”I sighed. “Wherever I go?”“Yes.”“Even when I eat?”“Yes.”“When I walk?”“Yes.”“When I sleep?”His expression remained completely serious. “I will remain outside your door.”I stared at him. “This is ridiculous.”The guard said nothing. I turned around and marched toward the staircase. I had barely taken three steps when I heard footsteps behind me. I spun around. “You're following me already?”“I was ordered to.”“Prince Perry is impossible.”The guard's lips twitched. I narrowed my eyes.
Mira’s POVI woke up to loud knocking on my door. I sat up immediately. My heart raced. No one usually came to my room this early. Another knock came.“Lady Mira!”I quickly got out of bed. “Coming.” I opened the door. Three palace guards stood outside. The moment I saw their serious expressions, my stomach tightened. “What happened?”“Come with us.”I frowned. “Why?”The guard in front stepped forward. “You are required to answer questions.”“About what?”He didn't answer. “Please come with us.”I looked from one guard to another. “What have I done?”No one responded. Fear began creeping through me as I stepped out and followed them into the corridor. Several servants stopped what they were doing to watch. Whispers immediately began.“That's her.”“She was caught.”“I knew something was wrong with that girl.”I looked at the guards. “Caught doing what?”Still no answer. They took me to the main hall. When I looked around, I could see a lot of them. Several nobles were there and at t
