The search for Ollen continued until lunch hour. When I walked into the dining room hoping I would find him there, he was, in fact, not there as well.

Worried, I walked into the kitchen where the Omegas were walking around preparing lunch and looked for Mavus.

The kind old lady was sitting by the counter, peeling onions.

"Mavus?" I called out.

"Yes, Luna? What can I help you with?" She asked, a warm smile spreading across her face.

She looked at me as if she adored me, like a mother or a grandmother looking at a tiny human being.

"I've been looking for Ollen all day. But I can't find him. Do you know where he is?" I asked.

"I heard he was out with the morning patrol men. They're probably circling the pack. He sometimes goes out there with his people. I'm sure he'll be back for lunch." She replied, the kind smile not once leaving her face.

"Okay. Thank you." I smiled back as I turned around to leave.

"Oh wait, Luna dear..." Mavus called out. "I went into your room to get your dirty laundry and heard your phone ring. It was ringing nonstop for a few minutes. I tried to tell you but could barely reach your link." She commented.

I had been busy focusing all my mind into getting a link open between Ollen and I , and I unknowingly blocked everyone else.

"Oh. Okay. Thanks." I called back before I left.

Going out to look for Ollen would be tiring, so I decided to go to bed and see who the caller was.

I wasn't even surprised when I saw Jenny's name on my screen. She'd called multiple times and had even sent a few text messages asking me to please pick up my phone or to call her back as soon as possible.

There was urgency in her messages. I felt bad when I recalled the conversation we last had over the phone. I was pretty mean to her even though I didn't want to be. Her demand was upsetting, but I guess I was also in the wrong there.

I thought about leaving it be, not calling back. But something kept nagging me.

I dropped myself on the edge of the bed with a sigh and called her number.

She answered after two rings.

"You called?" I asked before she could say anything.

"I did." She replied, her voice tired and small.

"Why?" I asked, trying to soften my voice after hearing hers.

"There is a lot happening in this pack..." She whispered. "We've had guests staying with us for the last two days. They haven't left yet, and I don't think they'll leave anytime soon."

A frown covered my face.

"Why are you telling me this?" I asked.

Jenny took a few seconds to reply, letting out a slow breath of exhaustion.

"I feel horrible for what I allowed to happen to you." She finally said. "I'm a horrible big sister. Letting you take my fate was probably the cruelst thing I could have done to you, knowing what you were walking yourself into. I was selfish, and I wanted to save myself. I shouldn't have done that. And I am so, so, sorry, Joyce. Please forgive."

The sincerely in her voice managed to surpise me.

"I'm really sorry, Joyce." She said one more time.

"Okay." I whispered, not knowing whatelse to say to her.

"I think I'm getting Karma for what I did to you." She chucked to herself.

"What are you talking about?"

"Father had been a bit desperate to expand the pack, and he wants to do it by joining hands with other packs. He wants me to mate with one of the Alphas." She cried out.

Jenny was right. It did sound like karma. But I didn't understand why he would force me to take her place to protect her, and they offer her away to another Alpha.

"This Alpha he wants you to mate with, do you know him?" I asked.

"I don't. You know I never paid attention to other packs. Father said he's one of the strongest Alpha's, that he has a big pack, or whatever..." She sniffled. "He said he's the Alpha of, umm... gosh, what was the name?"

It took her a few seconds to remember.

"Right. Sea and something pack." She said, and I felt my blood run cold.

"The Sea and Moons pack?" I questioned.

"Yes. That's the one. Father said the guys name is Brian. Do you know about him?"

A scoff escaped my lips.

Why the heck was my father going to the Sea and Moons?

Why was he offering his golden child to Alpha Brian.

Did he approach the Sea and Moons, or did the Sea and Moons approach him?

"Yeah..." I whispered. "I've heard about him, alright."

"Well, he's the guy Father wants me to mate with." Jenny continued, crying out once in a while.

"I just don't understand Father. Why did he put you through all of that just to ship me off to another guy?" She asked.

That made no sense to me either.

"I don't know, Jenny." I replied.

I heard her let out another sigh.

"Anyway... I get how you felt back then, being sent off to a man you didn't know. Well, I guess I only know a fraction of what you must have felt." She added. "And I wanted you to know that I am so sorry."

"Apology accepted, Jenny." I said, pushing myself to my feet. "Listen, I have to go now. But I'll call you late, okay?"

"Okay. Please don't forget." She replied.

I hung up the phone, tucked it into my pocket, and quickly left my room.

Maybe this was what my gut was trying to tell me. The Sea and Moons were planning to do something through my previous pack. Or maybe they weren't.

Either way, I needed to tell Ollen and give him a head up.

I needed to find him.

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   It shattered me.

Alpha Ollen Kingsmen...I opened my eyes once I heard the door close, her footsteps falling further and further away from the office.I felt something twist in my chest.I was conflicted. I didn't know how to act properly after finding out that everything was a lie the previous night.I could still hear Vice speaking as if he was still sitting in the office, Laura's loud gasp still trapped in the room just as I was."It's Jenny and Joyce. Not Joyce and Jenny." Vice had commented the previous night."What does that mean?" Laura had voiced the question ringing in my head. My confusion was cleared shortly after."It means Jenny is the older sister, and Joyce, the younger." Vice had replied. "I specifically remember Laura saying that the spell she casted our had informed her that the elder daughter of Alpha Feather was your mate. It didn't make sense to me, so I looked around a little bit more. And..."Vice had hesitated for a few seconds before he'd continued, clearly knowing that wh

Ollen didn't come to the dining room for lunch. I asked around for him again and was told that he was probably out with the patrols still.I didn't have an appetite, so I went to my room, sat by the window, and waited to see if Ollen would return.I had a clear view of the woods and partial view of the front door. I threw my gaze around, hoping I would catch sight of his tall figure somewhere. I was busy looking around when Mavus spoke to me through the mind link."Did you run into the Alpha yet?" She asked."Not yet." I replied."Well, he just came back and went straight to his office. I'm going to take him lunch there for him." She commented."Thank you, Mavus." I said, wanting to run to the kitchen to hug her for remembering to ask me. I cut the link and rushed out of my room, my target being Ollen's office. I knocked on the door the second I arrived, but there was no reply."Ollen?" I called out, not wanting to badge into his room without getting invited in first.Still, there

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   Looking for Ollen.

Joyce Feathers...I woke up feeling refreshed. The precious day had been exciting, so exciting that it had drained me of all my energy.I was knocked out the second I laid my head on the bed and didn't wake up until Mavus knocked on my door.I was a bit disappointed when I saw that it was Mavus instead of Ollen. I remember him telling me he would come get me for breakfast before I walked into my room.I assumed he was busy. Mavus told me that breakfast was ready before she left.I took a few minutes to wash up and get dressed.I noticed that the mind link between Ollen and I was broken, so I tried to open it. But I couldn't.It was like there was something blocking me in my mind or in his. I didn't worry much. I was about to see him in the dining room anyway. I made a mental note to ask him why we couldn't link and left my room. I skipped to the stairs and wanted to spend more time with our people after breakfast. Ollen and I trained yesterday morning, which meant we wouldn'

I stood in front of Joyce, waiting for her to strike. She moved clumsily, breathed too sharp when she was about to throw a punch, and made too much noise that it was too easy to block her attack."Try not to make too much noise." I commented after I caught her fist with my hand and pulled her to me."I didn't make any noise." She argued even though I knew she knew I was right."If I can hear your movements, then it means you're making too much noise." I replied, letting go of her and taking a step back."Now try again." I said and waited, listening to her take a deep breath and then stopped breathing all together.A smile formed on my lips when I heard the loud thud of her heart against her ribcage. She might be able to control her breath, but her heart gave her away.It somehow managed to melt my own heart. The morning training was something I looked forward to since the very first day we trained together. I liked being close to her and being able to show her how to defend herself, o

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   Her previous pack.

Alpha Ollen Kingsmen...I followed the soldier to the border he said Markus was at, disturbing the peace of the pack we earned after years of mad chaos."Did he say what he wanted to talk about?" I asked, annoyance evident in my voice.I wanted to sit next to my mate in front of the waterfall for a few more hours, pretend like I could have her and she could have me, pretend like she would return my growing feeling for her even though I knew she was going to leave five months from now."He didn't say, Alpha. He insisted that he would talk to you and only you." The soldier replied.Another sigh escaped myself. "Finally." I heard Markus call out the moment I assumed he saw me. "I've been waiting for ages. It's rude to keep a guest waiting outside..."I resisted the urge to curse him out."Why are you here?" I asked, even though all I wanted to do was kill him."No need to be hostile, Alpha Ollen..." He started in that smug way of taking he has, almost as if he was mocking me."Host
