After Lorcan and I stopped crying, we returned to our room and got dressed in PJ’s. Now we’re on the bed, side by side with our backs against the headboard.

Lorcan checked on Sienna, and I thought he’d be bringing her back to our room. But he returned without our little girl, saying she was fast asleep.

I’m not sure I want to be without Sienna so soon; I don’t think I could settle. Lorcan said that he’d collect her as soon as we’ve talked things through. I could do nothing but agree.
