Lorcan

The look on Gianna’s face is priceless.

Did she honestly believe that she could escape me?

I’m not a stupid man; I know what Emily told Gianna. I knew the moment Emily stepped foot in my office and told me that Gianna had escaped.

Emily is one of my strongest warriors; there’s no way Gianna could have gotten away from her unless Emily allowed it.

The useless bitch let jealousy get in the way of her job. For that, she’ll spend the next week in the cells without food or water.

I don’t take deception lightly, and aiding your Luna to run, is a crime. Emily should think herself lucky that I didn’t slit her throat where she stood.

I knew Gianna had run in her wolf form back to her house. Emily finally told me where she’d gone. I knew I’d need the car to drag her home; it would be easier than dragging her through the forest.

As I drove my car to find Gianna, I came across her family on the forest’s outskirts, looking for her.

I pulled the car over and yelled Antonio’s name. Of course, he and his family were shocked to see me there, even more so when I told them that Gianna was my mate.

Antonio, Gianna’s father, didn’t take the news well that I’d be taking his daughter with me. The fool even tried to negotiate with me.

The man has nothing that I want other than his daughter.

Mate bonds are tricky things. You can fight them ’til the cows come home, but in the end, you will succumb to it, even if that’s just sexually.

I don’t plan on keeping Gianna forever, but right now, I want her badly. I fucking ache to be inside of her, so deep that I don’t know where either of us begins and the other ends.

Valsurus had been restless, wanting Gianna’s wolf as much as I wanted Gianna. The randy bastard tried to break free and run to her. Of course, I stopped him; I couldn’t let Valsurus scare Gianna any more than she already was.

I was fine until Gianna ran from me. As soon as I realised she’d gone, my thoughts were consumed with finding her and bringing her back.

That doesn’t mean Emily is right either; I don’t want that slut. Emily was fun for a while, but once with that woman was enough for even me.

Emily is crazy, not in the way I’m crazy, but she’s insane when it comes to keeping what she believes is hers.

Emily staked claim to me after one night together; if you call two hours a night. She even walks around the packhouse telling anyone who will listen that she’s their Luna. Of course, I soon put that to rest. The woman is not Luna of Silver Paw, and she never will be. The sooner she gets that through her head, the better.

Gianna is now Luna of Silver Paw, whether Emily or even I like it or not. Shit, Gianna doesn’t even like it. But thanks to the way I dragged Gianna back to the packhouse, all pack members know that she is their Luna.

Hell, everyone heard me yell Mate, and the news spread like wildfire. Now they’re excited for the first time since I became Alpha.

Every pack craves a Luna because Luna’s keep the Alpha strong, and in turn, he keeps the pack strong. Once the Alpha finds his mate, his pack members bend over backwards for, said, mate.

Now, the pack are nervous to hear their Luna of just over an hour has left. Bringing her back is more for them than it is for me.

They have nothing to fear; this time, she won’t be getting away so easily.

“I’m not going anywhere with you! Dad,”

I rub my forehead with my fingertips and try to repress a smirk.

“Tell him to leave, please.”

“I’m sorry, Gia, I can’t do that.”

“Why?” She practically screams in frustration. “You’re my father! I don’t want to be mated to him; he’s crazy.”

“Sweetheart, you don’t have a choice but to go with Lorcan.”

Even though I can see that Gianna’s mother wants to tell me to ‘go to hell’, she tries to convince her daughter to leave with me.

I don’t know why I haven’t thrown Gianna over my shoulder yet, but I’m slowly losing patience.

“I’m not going!” Gianna looks me right in the eye. “I, Gianna Louisa Astoni,”

Argh!!

“Bella!”

I watch the scene unfold.

Gianna’s sister is sinking to her knees with her hands on either side of her head. The pain she’s feeling right now will be that of a vice crushing her skull.

Antonio and Sofia rush to Bella’s side while Gianna stares at me wide-eyed.

“What did you do?”

It doesn’t take much concentration for me to crush someone’s skull. I could do it in the blink of an eye, and if I wanted Bella dead, she would be by now.

Being a wolf-vampire hybrid brings many abilities, including the power to kill with little effort in terrible ways.

Daddy dearest won’t be happy with what I’m doing here. Antonio and Bella are good at their jobs within my father’s army. But that means nothing to me, I want what I came for, and I won’t leave until I get it.

“Just a little mind control. You don’t get to reject me, little wolf.”

“Why? That’s what you plan to do to me, so why draw it out!?”

I chuckle at how feisty she is; I like it.

“You have around five seconds before your sisters skull concaves.”

“You can’t do that! Please let her go,”

“That’s up to you, now, isn’t it? Leave with me, and I let her live. Refuse, and I’ll kill her, then I’ll drag you out of here anyway.

“In the end, I get what I want. Save your sister or watch her die; the choice is yours. Times ticking, Gianna.”

I see a war waging in her eyes. Gianna wants to tell me to go to hell, but I know that she won’t. She stares at her sister as blood pours out of her nose.

“Gianna, for Goddess sake!” Her father yells, causing her to jump. “What the hell are you playing at? Go with him and save your sister!”

“Please,” Her sister manages to gasp out around her screams. Her eyes are now so bloodshot there’s no white left.

I can’t wipe the smirk off my face as Gianna turns to me with gritted teeth.

“Fine, I’ll go with you. Just let my sister go.”

“What’s the magic word, little wolf?”

Gianna growls through her gritted teeth. She’s a strong, dominant one, and I may have my work cut out with this one.

Please.”

I break the hold I had over her sister, and Bella slumps to the floor, gasping for breath.

Gianna makes a move to help her, but I grab her arm.

“Leave her, go and pack; you have five minutes. Don’t make me come and find you, or what you just witnessed will be the least of your worries.”

“I hate you,” Gianna hisses through her teeth.

I chuckle. “The feeling is mutual, little wolf. Four minutes.”

She yanks her arm from my grasp and takes off to her room.

“What the hell was that?” Antonio gets in my face. “You could have killed my daughter!”

I flip my head slightly, sending him flying through the air and crashing into the nearest wall.

Both Bella and Sofia scream.

“Don’t test me, Antonio.”

He looks up at me, shock written all over his face.

“I am not the Dalgaard to mess with. I don’t give a shit about you or your family nor what happens to any of you. Gianna is my mate, and I’m taking her with me. Say goodbye while you can,”

“Wait,” Sofia gets to her feet. “Are you saying that I won’t get to see my little girl again once she leaves here?”

I open my mouth to speak, but I’m cut off.

“No, Mum, that’s not what he’s saying.”

Gianna drops her duffle bag in my hand.

I stare at it, trying not to lose my temper at how disrespectful she’s being toward me, her Alpha!

“If he wants me to behave, he’ll let me see you soon. I have to go with him; that doesn’t mean I have to make things easy for him.”

Oh, my Goddess!’ My wolf laughs loudly. ‘You sure know how to pick ’em. This is your comeuppance; you know that, don’t you? The Goddess has paired you with the one woman who isn’t scared of you!

Sure she’s not.

‘She’s scared of what you’ll do to her family if she doesn’t go with you. She’s not scared of you personally, Lorcan. You’ll come to see that soon enough.’

Gianna moves to hug her mother, but I grab her arm and stop her. The girl disrespected me, and I cannot have that.
