2. Man' lap

27th JUNE, Southwind Hills in Goldsby, Oklahoma

Choosing a rustic theme as their wedding theme, the barn looks exquisite with unparalleled union of rustic and elegantly enchanted by barn wood walls, exposed wood beams, a globe string lights cue the lights and set the mood with strings of delicate, gleaming hardwood floors, elegant draped linens and chandeliers throughout.

Beside than chandelier they added a woven rattan pendant lights and accent with greenery to make it dreamier.

The aisle and alter looked amazing with earthy and florals that made grand entrance down a dreamy aisle flush with earthy blooms, wildflowers, and foraged botanicals just like how Helen wanted it to be.

A sturdy wooden table made a big difference as it was turned into rustic table caped with copper accents. Pops of copper brought warmth and luster to neutral tones while complementing the rustic table décor with pairs copper mugs and flatware with amber and fuchsia hues.

Eucalyptus, fresh grapefruits, and canopies of bougainvillea freshened up the aesthetic while rattan lanterns added texture.

Adding a barrel bar at corner of the room created a visual focal point for an alfresco cocktail hour by creating a bar out of wine barrels topped with a wooden board. Accent with some dried flowers and you have an exquisite display for drinks.

The Barn is a spacious 3-story building with large windows overlooking the green rolling acreage and a peaceful pond across the barn.

This tranquil setting provided views of incredible sunsets and sunrises. The Barn has a 350 guest capacity with tables and chairs.

After waiting for so long the ceremony started at 10 pm.

" Helen, here is your bouquet. " I said extending the gorgeous train bouquet to her. Helen hands turned cold she was tense.

As Helen and her father took steps inside the barn venue, a piano played You Are the Reason by Calum Scott was played. The crowd stood up and gave the bride a gentle clap as she and her father resumed to walk down the aisle.

The guest area was framed with flower draped with different shades of green and accented with wild leaves. It was wonderful.

The ceremony continued with vows from the groom and bride, and the kisses. I could see that Helen had tears in the corners of her eyes. I just hope she don't smear her thick mascara. Following the ceremony, Helen and Jacob had their celebration at the same venue.

The party was packed with entertainment, fun and activities. In the middle of the program, the newlyweds danced in the middle of room and exchanged dancing with their parents. Another song was played When You Say Nothing at All by Ronan Keating.

“It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart

Without saying a word, you can light up the dark

Try as I may I can never explain

What I hear when you don't say a thing”

I just sat at a table accompanied by an old grandmother since I don’t dance. She is the younger sister of Jacob's grandmother. She is nice old lady that loves to tell stories. Something I don't mind at all. Who doesn’t love hearing the romantic romance of yesteryear.

I was told about her love story. She is a teenage girl while her husband is a young man, who works as a postman. She met him when her husband was sending a letter at her parents ’house.

They had been in love for two years, getting to know each other and decided to get married at the end of the year. Her eyes twinkled as she told me. My eyes were focused on her all the time.

Her expression turns sad as she reminisces her memories. She had lost her husband ten years ago to cancer. She struggled to make a living as her husband died after battling cancer for nearly three years.

I held her hand and gave her a brave smile. She returned my smile, placing her hand on my cheek. She taught me to appreciate the time you spend as much as you can. I looked at the centre of the main hall.

Mikayla was dancing too with a new man that she just met. I wanted to take this opportunity as I enjoyed the smell of this sweet drink in front of me, the loud sound of everyone cheering the newlyweds and the warm touch of someone’s hand on my cheek.

And songs are played through each space. The song had change to Prefect by Ed Sheeran.

“I found a love for me

Oh darling, just dive right in and follow my lead

Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet

Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me.”

From my table I could see how happy Helen was with Jacob and their affection for each other. Helen's hands were on Jacob's chest and after a while they stared at each other. Jacob moved his head forward and kissed Helen's forehead.

“Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favourite song

When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath

But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight.”

The time came for the bouquet tossing and all the single ladies went in front, except for me as I didn’t want get involved with this in first place. Mikayla got excited because she just met a man that suited her taste so she gave a try to catch the bouquet.

" Go Mikayla! " I give her a support.

Helen stood on five steps from the high stage when Helen trusted back the bouquet and throwing it with all her strength. Everyone watched as the bouquet flew up in the air, tossing and turning in slow motion. Mikayla had her hands up try catching the bouquet.

The flower that Helen threw however flew too far away from than that for some reason, it landed on man’s lap, making the crowd silent.

One old lady shout and break the silent with her confession. " Well I’m ready young man! " Everyone laughing.

While holding up the bouquet he said. " But this doesn’t apply to men, right? ". The man’s voice.

I can’t see his face clearly there was a bunch of decorated flower hiding his face from my view but still I can hear his voice perfectly.
