The words have barely left his lips when a sharp pain ignites on the back of my neck right where the previous sigil had been. I let out a startled cry, my claws extending.

"Now, go ahead. Kill him," Leo says, and in an instant, I feel my bones breaking and reshaping. It hurts. Goddess, it hurts.

I’m screaming, convulsing as my wolf’s power is unleashed.

By the time the shift is complete, Summer charges at Rhydar, knocking him down on his back when he attempts to rise.

'No! Stop!' I yell at her, but she doesn't listen. She bites into Rhydar's throat, tearing off his flesh relentlessly. And all I can do is scream and cry, helplessly. There's so much blood everywhere.

Rhydar's body jerks once... then goes still.

His chest isn't rising. His eyes are open but empty.

Still, Summer doesn't stop. She keeps tearing, snarling, lost to rage.
