"RUN!"

Rafael's voice thundered through the collapsing fortress.

Lorrie didn't think. She grabbed Leo. Lorenzo grabbed her. "Everyone out!"

The floor cracked behind them: CRAAACK! A section of the ceiling collapsed, and dust filled the corridor.

Mira grabbed Isabella's hand. "Which way?"

"East passage!"

They ran. But Lorrie suddenly stopped. "Lorenzo!"

He turned. She was staring at her glowing palm. The seven-pointed symbol was brighter than before. "I can hear them."

"Who?"

"The Guardians."

"Mom!"Leo's scream echoed through the darkness. Lorrie nearly collapsed. "Leo!"She tried to run toward the voice, but Lorenzo caught her hand. "Wait.""That's our son!""I know.""Then why are we standing here?""Because they want us to rush in."Lorrie stared at him through tears. "You heard what they said.""I did.""They'll hurt him."Lorenzo pulled her close. "They won't.""How can you know?""Because they need him alive."Rafael nodded. "He's right."Lorrie looked at him. "Then we use that."Rafael pointed toward the darkness. "The voice came from the north."Adrian checked his weapon. "Then that's what we're going."Daniel shook his head. "No."Everyone looked at him. "There are no tunnels north.""What?"Daniel pointed to the old map. "The north side of the fortress was destroyed decades ago."Rafael stared at the map. "Then we're not in the fortress anymore."Silence. Lorrie's heart sank. "Where are we?"Rafael whispered: "The Shadow Court."A door opened. Light flooded the

  • The Bride He Refused to Lose    Three Days To Save Leo

"LEO!"Lorrie's scream tore through the darkness. She ran toward the place where her son had disappeared, but Lorenzo caught her around the waist."Don't!""Let me go!""Lorrie, stop!""That's our son!"She fought against him, tears streaming down her face. "I have to find him!""I know.""Then let me go!"Lorenzo pulled her into his arms. "I will find him.""You promise?"He looked directly into her eyes. "With my life."Lorrie broke down against his chest. For a moment, neither of them spoke. Then Lorenzo kissed her forehead. "We're bringing him home."She nodded. "Together.""Together."Three days. That was all they had. The mysterious voice had made it clear: Three days to find the Second Guardian. But nobody knew where Leo had been taken.Gabriel worked frantically at the remaining computers. "Nothing."Adrian slammed his hand against the table. "Search again.""I have searched everything.""Then search harder."Daniel looked at the screen. "There has to be something."Rafael sto

Nobody moved. Nobody spoke. Even the collapsing fortress seemed to fall silent.Lorrie stood in the center of the ancient chamber, one hand pressed against her stomach. Her eyes were wide."Lorenzo..."He stared at her as though he had forgotten how to breathe. "You're pregnant?"Lorrie nodded slowly. "I didn't know."Leo stepped closer. "Mom?"Lorrie looked at him. "I'm here.""But... you're having a baby?"A trembling smile touched her lips. "I think so."Leo smiled. For the first time since they entered the vault, he looked genuinely happy. "I'm going to be a big brother."Lorenzo pulled Lorrie into his arms. He kissed her forehead. "We're having another baby."Lorrie smiled through tears. "Yes."Then a laugh echoed through the chamber: Alexander.Everyone turned toward him. He was still kneeling, but he was smiling. "You still don't understand."Lorenzo's expression hardened. "What?"Alexander looked at Lorrie's stomach. "That child isn't a blessing." His smile widened. "It's the

Thousands of voices filled her mind, but one voice was louder than the others—her own:> «Open the door.»> Lorrie opened her eyes. "No."Lorenzo stepped closer. "What?""They're asking me to open the door.""Which door?"Lorrie looked behind them. "The one Rafael is trapped behind."Mira's face changed. "You can't."Lorrie stared at her. "Why?""Because the door isn't only a door.""What is it?"Mira swallowed. "A seal.""Se

Lorrie couldn't move. The ancient man's words echoed through the chamber: You are the Guardian. She looked at Leo, then at Lorenzo, and finally back at the man standing before them. "No." Her voice was barely audible. "No, that's not possible."The ancient ruler smiled. "It is."Lorenzo stepped in front of Lorrie. "Stay away from my wife."The man laughed. "You still don't understand.""I understand enough." Lorenzo raised his weapon. "You've threatened my family for the last time."The ancient ruler didn't even flinch. Instead, he looked at Lorrie. "Tell him."Lorrie's breathing became unsteady. "Tell him what?""Tell him what happened the night Leo was born."Lorrie shook her head. "I don't remember.""You do.""No.""You've simply forgotten." The man's voice became softer. "Your mind was protected.""Protected from what?""From me."Lorenzo looked at his wife. "Lorrie?"She stared at the floor. "I remember the hospital. Leo had just been born. I remember holding him. I remember you

The cavern fell into a suffocating silence.Lorenzo stood frozen, shielding Leo against his side. Sophia watched the Perfect Heir with narrowed eyes, while Amara, standing beside her ancient stone coffin, observed everything with a gaze that seemed to pierce through time itself. The Perfect Heir took one slow step forward, his movements eerily fluid."I found you," he said.Lorenzo’s finger tightened instinctively around the trigger of his weapon. "Stay back."The machine offered a chilling, unnatural smile. Its black eyes reflected the pulsing blue light that saturated the cavern walls. "You still don't understand. I wasn't sent here to kill Leo.""Then why are you here?" Lorenzo demanded. The machine glanced toward Amara. "To wake her."Amara’s expression darkened instantly. "No."The machine smiled wider. "Too late."Suddenly, the six ancient coffins lining the perimeter began to glow with a blinding intensity.One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six.Ancient symbols etched into the stone
