Blake’s Pov“Wake up, Luna. Wake up.” I heard the voice distance, calling for me to wake up, and for a moment, my scrambled brain tried to remember what was going on, how I got here, but I couldn't, not immediately at least. I could smell the clear air of the room, to know that the balcony door was open, or maybe it was the windows. I wasn't even sure where I was, but judging by the soft mattress beneath me, or the smell of Ridge radiating around me, then I knew I was in our room. A pair of hands came on my shoulder to shake me again. “Wake up, Luna, wake up.” Nabi, that was Nabi. Slowly, I obeyed, opening my eyes, but it wasn't Nabi I saw first, it was Ridge, and everything came rushing back. Ridge had come back home and I had gone to greet him, but I had seen the blood on him and that was the last thing I remembered. I pushed up too suddenly, and looked at him but my eyes turned a bit, causing me to fall back down. “Are you okay? Did someone hurt you?” I asked while lying
Ridge’s Pov“So you're saying no one sent you to deliver the flowers?” I asked the man Roman had found, giving him the last chance to answer my damn question, and he shook his head, saying nothing. This was the part of the interrogations I hated most, people being interrogated acting like they were either deaf, loyal, or not willing to talk without negotiating first. The easy ones always made things easier for me. Sighing, I looked at Henry, and said. “I guess I can allow the Gamma give you his gift now.” I said and the man looked from me to Henry with fear in his eyes. That had been in his eyes all night, but it still hadn't motivated him to talk, but I guess that was because I hadn't given either Roman or Henry the chance to torture him was why. Normally, I would have done that myself, but Blake was changing me. She had lived all her life with a monster and she had suffered for it, physically, psychologically, and the last thing I wanted was for me to become another monster s
Blake’s PovFinally, we were in Ridge’s house, where I had first met his mother, where he had first asked me to make the decision of whether or not I wanted to be with him. I was in my room… our room; Ridge’s and I, arranging my clothes. I needed to make this house mine, change some of the interior designs. Nabi was somewhere in the house, trying to clean everywhere, and I was planning to join her soon. About some moments later, I was done with my clothes so I stood up to leave the room, when my phone rang. I grabbed my phone to see who the caller was but there was no name on the screen. It said an unknown caller was right there. Frowning, I stood there staring at the phone for a moment, thinking to myself whether or not I should pick it, who it could be, and why they were calling. Finally, I picked up the call and pressed the phone to my ear. “Hello?” I said, but I heard nothing at the other end. There was silence as I stood there waiting, so I pulled the phone back t
Ridge’s PovOur honeymoon would be over in two days, and I was still nit satisfied with the alone time I had with Blake here at the beach house. That crazy ass woman had came here to ruin everything, then my family had showed up as well. Now, we only had a few days to ourselves. Okay, maybe one day shy of one week but still… I sighed as I rubbed my face and closed the laptop in front of me. I was too tired to continue with this, so I would just have to make it later or tomorrow. A knock sounded on the door of the study as soon as I started to get up. “Come in,” I said and it was Nabi. “Good evening, alpha. Luna asked me to get you for dinner.” she said. “She cooked?” I asked and she nodded. “Oh, I see. Okay then. Tell her I'll be right there.” I said. “Okay sir,” Nabi nodded her head, and started to turn, but she stopped and said. “That reminds me, Alpha, when you leave the beach house in three days, do you want me to go with you or do you want me to go back to the pack
Jas. The space for the bakery Ridge told Roman to take me to was nice, and I was still looking around before I heard Roman talking to someone in the front room. I was in the back room, where the baking would happen, so I had to go back there to see who it was. “I’ve told you, Julia. You don’t have to come all the way here to ask me that.” I heard Roman said. “But I know you won’t answer my text. What should I do then?” I heard Julia asked back. So Julia was here? I understood the fact that she liked Roman, but I wasn’t sure how he felt about her too. I smiled, before I stepped out into the room. I stepped into the front room just in time to see Julia standing a little too close to Roman, arms crossed, head tilted with that confident, polished grace she always carried. She was smiling… but not at me. Not yet. Roman, on the other hand, looked vaguely uncomfortable. His hands were tucked into his back pockets, his jaw tense the way it always got when he was trying to be polite
Blake’s Pov I chuckle as I pull up the messaging app on my phone, grinning from ear to ear when I saw it was Ridge that texted me. Blake: I thought you were supposed to be in a meeting right now, Ridge. With a small smile, I pressed send and waited, already imagining his face when he read it; probably pretending to be annoyed but secretly amused. I was still at Kenny’s but she had gone inside to bring her supposed wedding gift for me, one she had gotten but unable to send to me, because of how the pack house wasn't receiving any deliveries, and that was why I was able to text Ridge back. A few seconds later, his reply came through. Ridge: I am. But I'm good at multitasking, remember? Thinking about you and negotiating land rights. Guess which one I’m doing better at. I snorted, biting back a smile. Blake: Hopefully not the land rights. Ridge: Correct. You’re a major distraction, Mrs. Sterling. I could feel my cheeks heating up at that, even though no one was around to see i
