Chapter 10 Alonso

“Is everything ready, the bus and the warriors?” I ask my father.

“Yes Alonso, everything is ready. Now where is Annabella? She hasn't come down yet.” he asks.

Just as I was about to shout for her, she came running down the stairs, she’s in her signature look with a pair of sandals. The only pair she has.

Occasionally, I get so lost with the passing time, mainly because we spend most of our time at home. I forget she doesn't have much clothing.

But what I can never forget is how she dresses, like an old woman. Luckily, I picked up my long black overcoat.

She walks over to me and I hand her the can't, she takes it and puts it in no questions ask and watches as the children and warriors get onto the bus.

Our pack has over forty orphans that are between the ages of ten and sixteen, the other forty are close to eighteen.
