Conri…Conri did not sleep at all that night. He kept watch over Tala to make sure she was ok. He looked up at the window when the first ray of sunlight crept through. He looked at his watch and it was just after 6. He could feel he was struggling to keep his eyes open, and he called Marcus. Conri…Conri sat at the kitchen counter, waiting for Tala to get back, getting impatient… Jones sat next to him, making small talk, but he did not hear a word she was saying.The back door opened, and Tala came walking in, Conri could feel the relieve washing over him when he saw her, and she was ok. Conri…As soon as his phone rang, he knew something was wrong. Marcus did not bother him this time of the night unless it was very urgent. As soon as he put the phone down, Tala was standing next to him, fully dressed and ready to go.“What is it?” Tala asked urgently“Sheila came back, or pieces of her came back. Tala…She run as fast as she could, and the closer she got to her old camp, the more determined she was feeling. As they reached the camp side, she stopped dead in her tracks… There was no one in sight. It was as if it was abandoned. No one was patrolling, no one was sitting by a campfire, there was no one… Conri came up to her and looking around.“Where do you think everyone went?” Conri asked in a low voice.“They are here, believe me. Conri…Conri was still holding Tala’s mother in his arms, when he saw her starting to shift, he picked her up and carried her over to some trees, out of harms way. He put her down and as he turned around, he heard her father’s wolf cry out in pain and then everything went silent. He watched as Tala’s wolf went to lay down on the ground, staring at the lifeless body laying on the ground. That was her first kill, and he could see she was not taking it very well, does not matter whom it was.He walked slowly over to her, as she has not moved an inch. Conri…Conri woke up, feeling that there was a part of him missing. The spot next to him in bed was cold and he stroked his hand over it. He missed her terribly, and everything inside him screamed that he had to go and look for her. But he knew, that might be the biggest mistake he ever makes. Tala… As Tala laid in the bed, staring up at the ceiling, she realized she never phoned Conri… She did not plan on going down now, as things were feeling weird when it came to Alex. He was avoiding her, and she was not sure why. She turned to lay on her side, but sleep did not come easy. She tossed and turned and eventually fell asleep. The next morning, she was awake very early, and she got dressed quickly. She almost ran downstairs, hoping to see Linda and Alex.
