“Finally remembered your husband?” Jayden sneered at Nina when she finally sought him out on the balcony.

Feeling a bit tired and tipsy, Nina pressed her body against Jayden and replied lazily, “I’m tired.”

Jayden loved it when she acted coquettishly. As such, even a simple glance from her was enough to bring him down to his knees.

“Really? And here I thought you could dance for another few hours, given how happy you seemed without me.” He raised an eyebrow, his tone carrying a hint of bitterness.

Nina could hear the subtle resentment in his voice and realized that he was being petty for ignoring him. She couldn’t resist teasing him back, “You could have joined me too.” She retorted with a sly smile, “Or do you think you’re too old to have fun?”

The smirk on Jayden’s lips froze when he heard Nina call him old. “Excuse me?” His teeth gritted in anger as he retorted, “Do you think I’m old? For your information, I’m a mature man who is in the prime of his life.”
