I woke up with a jolt and stretched as much as I could, my back was killing me.

I had fallen asleep on the couch, I got up, stretching fully once again to get some of the laziness I still had in my body out.

When I went to grab the plate I had used, the cookie I had left last night was gone and the glass of coke wasn't there either, just the empty plate.

I took several deep breaths so as not to start screaming, closed my eyes and counted to ten. I wished with all my might that my hunch was wrong.

I grabbed the plate and took it to the kitchen, peeked timidly to see if anyone was inside.

It was empty, I sighed in relief and walked quietly into the kitchen, washed the plate and found the glass of coke in the sink. I looked everywhere and there was nothing to be heard, it seemed as if I was the only one there.

I put water on to boil to make coffee and then went to sit at the kitchen table, leaning my forehead against it, closing my eyes and covering myself with both arms.
