MasukLILY RUSSELL'S POV
I could feel eyes staring at me as I made my way to the seat beside Wade. Those eyes were screaming, “Who is that woman? Where the hell did she come from? Is she that wealthy?” Even so, I calmly approached where he was without even sparing him a glance. “Fifteen million pesos,” he said calmly. “Twenty million pesos.” I smirked when I saw Wade’s reaction from the corner of my eye. I still didn’t look at him and kept my gaze fixed on the necklace and ring in front of us. “Are you aware that those items are only worth three million pesos?” At last, I had completely caught the attention of Wade Chilton! “I don’t mind. This is my thing. I love those kinds of jewelry,” I said calmly. “Mr. Wade, are you going to offer a higher bid?” “Forty million pesos.” “Wow! Forty million! Anyone with a higher bid?” I stood up, about to leave, when he suddenly stood and grabbed my arm. I admit, I was startled, but I still forced myself to stay calm. “Do you really like those items? I can give it to you…for free,” he whispered. His breath brushed past my ear and quickly spread through my whole system. I must admit, it sent shivers down my spine. Plus, he smells so good. “No thanks, Mr. Chilton. Just enjoy it. You won.” From the glass walls, I saw how he clenched his jaw. Who wouldn’t get annoyed? He wasted a lot of money on jewelry only worth three million pesos. The truth is, I don’t really have that kind of wealth. I just wanted to get his attention by hurting his ego, and I guess I did well. I left the room without even looking back. I could hear the loud murmurs of people. I couldn’t help but smile as I thought about how I had outplayed Wade Chilton but it didn’t end there. I deliberately left my duplicate key card on my seat. I booked a hotel room nearby, and not just some cheap hotel. It was a five-star hotel that only those at the top of the pyramid could afford. How did I afford it? Of course, I worked hard. Really hard. I took on all kinds of side jobs for years just to prepare for this day. When I arrived at my hotel room, I immediately changed into a nightgown. I took the wine I had prepared for my special guest tonight. As I poured the wine into my glass, I also prepared a newly sharpened knife. It was small but sharp. I hid it behind me, tucked into the garter of my black lingerie. “Men who think highly of themselves can’t stay at ease when there’s a woman they can’t have. Wade is popular among women, and he always ends up tasting someone who manages to arouse his sexual desire. For the record, I was the first woman who showed no interest in him. When a man doesn’t get a woman, his possessive nature resurfaces.” I waited for a few minutes before the door to my room opened again. A smile quickly spread across my face as I played with the wine in my glass. I wasn’t wrong. Wade Chilton really followed me to my hotel room. I leaned against the sofa, still holding my glass as I deliberately kept moving so my nightgown would rise. I sat more provocatively to give him a better view of my curves. He could almost see my panties but who cares? I’m going to seduce him tonight, and I’m going to do it to kill him. “Mr. Chilton, I didn’t expect to see you in my room. Still want to give me those jewels as a gift?” I said seductively with a smile, still staring at the glass I was playing with. From the corner of my eyes, I saw him smirk. Did I act too obvious? “You dropped your key card in the auction hall earlier,” he said emotionlessly as he placed the key card on the table. “That’s my duplicate copy. Anyway, thanks.” I drank the wine I had been playing with and staring at. “I didn’t expect you to be such a careless woman. You shouldn’t just leave things like that anywhere. Anyone can cause you harm once your key card falls into the hands of the wrong people.” He raised both eyebrows. “The truth is, even if they’re not criminals, if they get the key to the place of a woman like you, there’s a high chance they’ll do something bad, miss…” I placed the glass on the table and stood up. I extended my hand to him. “Miss Russell,” I introduced myself. “Aren’t you intimidated by me? I’m a man. Men can be dangerous, Miss Russell.” I waited for him to shake my hand, but he didn’t, so I had no choice but to proceed with my plan. I moved closer to him and caressed his chest. “Are you also a dangerous man, Mr. Chilton?” He closed his eyes when I touched the part of his chest where his nipplé might be. “Intriguing. You really caught my attention, Miss Russell.” I turned my back on him and bent down to pick up the glass I had placed on the table earlier. I deliberately brushed my bútt against his groín to provoke him further. I poured more wine into the glass and then faced him again. “Do you want to join me for a drink tonight since you’re already here?” I invited with a smile. Wade smirked and slowly sat on the sofa, fixing his hair. “Many women are eager to drink with me, but not one of them can give what that requires in return.” I laughed softly. “Really? I thought you were the type of man who would gladly accept a goblet full of wine in exchange for a one hot night.” He smirked again while drifting his gaze. I downed all the wine in my glass. When it was empty, I placed it back on the table and slowly sat on Wade’s lap. I looked into his eyes as I gradually brought my face closer to his serious expression. “What if I tell you that I can give you something they can’t, in exchange for spending time drinking with me tonight?” I said seductively. He laughed out of nowhere. His laughter was terrifying and intimidating but I had no time to be consumed by my feelings. I must kill him tonight no matter what. I was startled when Wade suddenly pulled my waist. Our lips almost met because of what he did! “Tell me, Miss Russell. What is it that you can give in exchange for my time?” I smiled confidently even though I was nervous. I didn’t expect him to be this blunt. “I can give you myself, Mr. Chilton.” He smiled again. Only then did I notice his deep dimples. “Really? I thought you were different from those slúts.” Now, I could see the disappointment in his eyes. Did he expect me to be conservative? “I’m sorry. I guess I’m already drunk,” I excused, but... Suddenly, Wade kissed me. He wasn’t careful at all! He even bit my lip! “Do you like it, huh?” Before I could answer, he captured my lips again. His hands became restless. I had no choice. I need to do this. I quickly unbuttoned his long sleeves and freely touched his chest. It felt like I was being electrocuted as one of my hands traced his abs! I was almost carried away by the situation, but I reminded myself of my purpose. I was about to grab the knife behind me, but I couldn’t feel it anymore! Panic suddenly washed over me. Did he… In an instant, we switched positions. Earlier, I was on top of Wade, now he was on top of me. I was shocked when he suddenly stopped kissing me. “Miss Russell, do you think I’m dumb?” he said gently while smiling at me. I don’t know why, but the hairs on my body suddenly stood on end. My eyes widened when he suddenly pressed the knife, the one I was supposed to use to kill him, against my neck. “Are you planning to kill me? Who sent you?” I swallowed hard. I need to think fast. It can’t end here! I spent years preparing for this plan! I flinched when he suddenly shouted. “DID SOMEONE SEND YOU TO KILL ME? TELL ME!”Wade's POV“Any news?” I asked while looking at the monitor. “What I ordered yesterday, have you found any lead?”Wayne was quiet before he sat across from me. He was carrying his tablet.“Nothing. All the footage from the surveillance system, wiped clean. As in zero data, like it never even existed.”I gasped. I closed my eyes for a moment.“So, in short, no one entered or whoever entered was so good that he left no trace?”“Exactly, master,” he answered. “But I saw a pattern. The breach method is the same as the one used by Sanders Chilton's group - your uncle. For now, he is still our primary lead.”I nodded silently, my tone of voice cold.“If that's the case... withdraw all of his assets.”“Master?”“I said withdraw everything,” I repeated, saying it slowly but with emphasis. “All stocks, all project connections under Chilton Group — freeze all of it. I want him off the map by sunrise.”Wayne hesitated.“Does that include your cousin too, master? The son of Sanders?”“Of course,”
Cecilia's POVI just stared at Wade's back as he walked out of the restaurant. Slowly. Like nothing happened. He didn't even look back at me. He didn't even spare me a glance.I don't know how many seconds I was silent. It was like the whole world suddenly froze and I was the only one left moving. Then it was like something suddenly exploded in my chest and that was the emotion I could no longer contain... extreme anger wrapped in extreme shame.“Unbelievable.” Soft at first, but every word that came out of my mouth felt like it had fire that burns. “Did he just walk out on me?”I held the wine glass in front of me. My heart was beating so hard it felt like it wanted to jump out._Crash!_ The glass hit the floor. The crystal shards exploded like music to my ears.Next I grabbed the plate. _Pak!_ The cutlery, I threw them too. Everything on the table, everything, I wanted to be gone and in an instant, it was like I wanted to erase this scene.I'm not the type of woman who just gets lef
Wade's POVAround seven in the evening, I went to the dinner appointment with Cecilia. The restaurant was quiet, dim, and obviously expensive. I didn't care about the price because I knew it was just pocket change for me. But I was restless being in this kind of place and yet with someone else. Lily wasn't the one with me, but another woman. I'm not used to it. I'm no longer used to changing women like I'm just changing clothes.Cecilia was already in the middle of the table when I arrived. She was wearing one of her favorite designer dresses. It was bright red, obviously thought through. She's all smiles, as if nothing's wrong between us.“Wade!” she quickly stood up to greet me. And when she got close to me she immediately clung to my arm. “You look tired. Work again?”“Something like that,” I answered coldly.I sat down. I gently removed her hand from my arm. I didn't even try to hide the impatience in my voice.“You’ve been so busy lately,” she said, still trying to be sweet. “We
WADE'S POV“Fuck!” I slammed the table hard. Papers scattered, the glass flew — but I didn't care. Not because I was hurt, but because I was so angry. My teeth were gritted because Lily left… because she was the first one to let go. And in my whole life, no one has ever done that to me.“She thinks she can just walk away from me?” Every word that came out of my mouth was like fire ready to burn anything in front of me. “She really thinks she can just decide when this ends?”I looked at the door. Hoping she would come back. I counted ten seconds but nothing, she didn't come back. Only silence reigned in my entire office.I looked at the table, at the mug she left behind, with a lipstick mark on the side. I approached it and stared at it. I touched the part with her lipstick mark on it. I remembered her lips. I never tasted lips like hers. Out of all the women I've had — only she has driven me this crazy, so I can't allow her to just leave me just like that.My laptop screen lit up. I s
LILY'S POVWade stopped in front of me and was so close I could almost feel the heat of his breath. I couldn't move. Everything he said was like thunder that echoed inside the room and with every word, the defenses I was desperately trying to build slowly crumbled. The plan is to make Wade want me and I have indeed succeeded. But why is it like this? Why am I still not at ease? It feels like my world stopped at what he said.“Wade…” I said almost in a whisper, still trying to break free from his hold. “You can't just decide that. You can't break your world just because of—”“Because of you?” he quickly cut in. “Lily, you're not some part of my life. You're the part I can't lose.”My chest rose with how fast my heart was beating. I didn't want to be a fool. I didn't want to believe him again. But when I looked at him, it felt like all the anger, fear, and love collided inside me.“Wade, please…” I said calmly. “We can't keep doing this. You don't own me.”He smiled, bitter but real.“I
LILY'S POVWhen I entered the office, Mr. Chilton was quiet and just looking at his laptop but I knew he noticed that my breathing was a little heavy.“Is everything okay?” he asked while still not taking his eyes off the screen.I paused for a moment before answering.“Yes, sir. Everything's fine.”But as I handed the files to his desk, I couldn't help but notice the depth in his gaze, like he wanted to ask more, but he held himself back. And me, I forced a smile, even though I knew I couldn't get what Cecilia said to me earlier out of my mind._“Wade belongs to me — only me.”_Technically, I have no right to be affected. But why is it that every time those words replay in my mind, I get more and more restless and more and more annoyed at that woman? Why am I getting angry? I don't feel anything for Wade except anger. And everything I'm showing him is just part of my plans. So I shouldn't soften. I can't risk everything I worked so hard for for many years.I looked at Wade again. He
Lily Russell's POV“To find the Y-intercept, you have to replace the variable x with zero. After the replacement, you can now solve for the Y-intercept. Here, the answer is (0,7). The final answer should be an ordered pair.”“Miss Russell, how about finding the X-intercept?” Zaid asked while starin
LILY RUSSELL'S POV“Bro, why is your hand bleeding? What happened?”“Don’t ask questions. Why are you awake so early anyway? Tell our cook to prepare my favorite dish. I’ll just go upstairs to shower and change.”“But Bro Wade, your hand…”I stopped making coffee when I heard his name. After gettin
LILY RUSSELL'S POV“DID SOMEONE SEND YOU TO KILL ME? TELL ME!”I could feel his anger just like how I feel the tip of my own knife on my neck. My breathing was also getting faster. I didn’t think he would catch me this quickly. No. He won’t find out about my plan if I don’t confess. I need to think
LILY RUSSELL'S POV “Wade Chilton is now the newly appointed CEO of the Chilton Group after his father died in an accident…” I felt like I went deaf when I heard the news on the radio. That name. I could never, ever forget that name. “Lily, don’t you get tired? They make you buy food here alm
