CHAPTER FOURTEEN

JESSICA'S POV.

I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling fan as my mind kept replaying what Mr Snider had said. He'd offered me a once in a lifetime opportunity to come out of my poverty and I should've been jumping at it, but for some reason I couldn't. It was wrong no matter how much I tried to convince myself otherwise.

The first problem was that I didn't like him even a little bit. He was a playboy and a jerk, and whether real or fake, I didn't want such a man for a husband. He would give me a lot of headache and maybe heartaches if he continued his womanising ways even after we were married.

The second problem was, I didn't truly know him and his family. He might think they'd like me, but what if they wouldn't? What would he say when he finds out that I was a drug dealer and a crazy powerful asshole was now tracking my every move because of his money I stole?

And the last problem was, I didn't like the idea of spending five or four years with a guy like him. I couldn't even imagin
