Ryan’s point of view

Anxiousness wouldn’t let me get back to my research. In fact the thought that my mother might be dying was enough pull to thrust me out of bed.

I need to know what she’s hiding from us, and I know who to go to for help.

I took my phone to dial her contact, the call went through instantly and she picked after the third ring.

“Just because I love you now doesn’t mean you get to call me all the time. I hate calls and I’m busy shopping for cooperate outfits.” I heard her groan aloud, “Not this one. I said bring your best!” She conversed snappily with whoever was with her at the background.

“It’s urgent and about mom. When she came back, did you ask her about where she’s been for the past few weeks she was off?” I asked the moment I’m sure her attention was back to me.
