20. A Betrayal
In the morning, Elisa woke up and smiled as she remembered the events last night. She couldn't believe she slept with her boss. She didn't feel any shame or regrets. She was happy. She realized she started to have feelings for Ansel. Sure, he was an obnoxious, arrogant man, but he can also be weirdly sweet. And it didn't hurt that he was extremely attractive.
She took her time getting dressed and put on her prettiest dress. She felt like a teenage girl trying too hard to impress her crush, but she didn't care. She looked forward to seeing him at the office.
She decided to make a quick stop at the landlord's apartment. She got her paycheck and now was able to pay her rent in full. That's another thing she was grateful for. If she hadn't meet Ansel, she never would've found this job with great pay and benefits.

Ansel wasn't stupid. He remembered the anger in her eyes as clear as day. Did she really expect him to believe that she got over being used by him? Did she take him for a fool?She was playing coy.
