Ansel was momentarily confused about Michael's desire to help him, but he didn't want to waste his time thinking about it. He looked at Elisa and proceeded to walk toward them, but someone grabbed him from behind before he could move forward.
Oh, for fucks sake, give me a break! Ansel thought and tried to fight off the person who had his arms around his neck, choking him.
Malachi managed to turn around and punch Michael off him, then kicked Michael on his ribs. "You just destroyed the good business relationship we had going, and for some puny little girl? Why? What's so special about her, hmm? Are you fucking his mother or what?" he barked.
"That's my daughter, you asshole! You can't take her," Michael snarled. He was holding his sides like he was in pain, but he tried to stay standing up anyway.
Ansel's eyes turned wide. What the hell is he saying? Audre was Gerald's daughter, wasn't she?
He wiggled out of the man's chokehold and elbowed him
What do you guys think about this chapter? Do you think Mikey's feelings for Audre is genuine? He is still a POS no matter what though!
Elisa woke up with a severe headache. She tried to open her eyes but closed them immediately as the bright lights assaulted her eyes. Audre! She suddenly remembered and snapped her eyes open. She frantically looked around. No sign of her little girl. No...did they get her? She panicked. She got up and saw Ansel sprawled across the floor, his face covered in blood. She quickly moved towards him and checked his pulse. He was breathing. Oh, thank god, she thought. But she still had to find Audre. She heard shouting and screaming in the hallway inside and went in that direction. There was no one in the hallway. The screaming was coming from inside a room. She had to find out if Audre was in there. No time to be scared. She found a man unconscious in another room with his gun still in his hand, so she quickly grabbed it. The door was broken, so she leaned against the wall and peeked inside the room. She saw Michael trying to
"You are pregnant. With a baby?" Ansel said and stared at her blankly. Elisa rolled her eyes. "Yes, Ansel. With a baby. What else would I be pregnant with? Puppies?" "That's great...um...well...who is the father?" he asked awkwardly. Elisa glared at him. "For fuck's sake, did you just ask me that?" she cursed, forgetting they were still in the car with Audre. Ansel gasped and covered Audre's ears who was sleeping peacefully on his lap. "Shh...you're going to wake her up." He carefully placed her on the spot next to him and then covered her with his jacket. He looked at Elisa afterwards. "Elisa, I..." he stopped talking as he realized she was crying. He pulled her to his chest and stroked her hair. "I'm sorry, babygirl. That was a bad jo
"Breathe, Ansel, just breathe. Here, take a swig of this," Connor handed Ansel a small flask. "Unless it's liquid Xanax, I don't know how it would help," Ansel said irritably. "It's whiskey. It'll work like a charm and ease your nerves. You'll see," Connor said and gave him a thumbs up. Bastard. Connor and Anya eloped, so he had no idea what it felt like standing around waiting for the bride, Ansel thought. It was absolutely nerve-racking. His mind has been creating the most negative scenarios possible and he had no idea how to stop them. What if she changes her mind and decides to run away? Would she do that? If she does, she'd be stuck with not one but TWO of him. And they would drive her so crazy that she'd be forced to come back to him. Ansel found comfort in that. "Ansel, for fuck's sake, stop slouching," his mother Ariel barked next to him. "I wasn't slouching," Ansel said. "And wipe that scared look off your face
Three months have passed since their wedding. Ansel took Elisa to the gynecologist, and they found the gender of their twins. They were going to have two girls. "How did you know?" Ansel asked her on the way home. "Know what?" she looked at him with confusion. "How did you know you were pregnant with girls? You gave me girls' names when you announced your pregnancy back then," Ansel asked. "I had no idea. I made those names up to shock you. They were girl names by pure coincidence," Elisa giggled. "Well, your wish came true. So now I have to deal with three hormonal teenage girls in my house. God help me," Ansel let out an exaggerated sigh. Elisa wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him on the cheek. "Oh, stop being grumpy. It'll be great," she said. Ansel smiled. "I know." Things were great since they passed their dark times. With both Mike and Gerald being gone, there were no more threats left in their lives.
13 years later... Audre looked in the mirror and sighed. She changed her clothes three times already. At first, she picked one of her summer dresses then decided to change into shorts and a t-shirt. Not like it matters since they will be given uniforms at the Summer camp anyway. And then she had to deal with her curly mess of hair which was a task in itself. She always had a hard time maintaining it, and her father would always tease her about it. "How many eggs hatched in that crow's nest this morning?" he would say. Jerk... She tied her hair up in a messy bun then picked up her backpack. "AUDRE!!" She nearly dropped everything as she heard the shrill voice of her thirteen year old sister Ira. "What is it?" Audre said irritably. She loved her sisters, but they could drive her crazy at times. "Mama wants to know if you are ready to go yet," Ira's twin sister Ivy answered. Ivy and Ira were inseparable and they al
"Can you not scream so loud? You'll scare all the birds away," the boy yawned, then glared at Audre. She looked at him intently. He was tall, about six feet three or more, with a tan and muscular body. He had a messy blonde fade haircut that perfectly framed his face with high cheekbones and a prominent jaw. His beautiful clear blue eyes glinted with mischief. He reminded her of ken dolls and that kind of annoyed her for some reason. "What the hell are you doing here?" Audre pointed her finger at him. Why is he acting like it was normal for him to be here? "I should ask you the same thing! Why are you in my cabin?" He narrowed his eyes. "Your cabin? This is the girls' cabin," Audre looked at him with confusion. He seemed pretty confident for someone who is intruding, she thought. "No, it's not," he said. "I'm Aleks, by the way. Who are you supposed to be?" "Audre. Mr. Elliot told me to go to cabin number 7," she said. Aleks lau
Ah, Audre Adams. Aleks never thought he would see her again. What are the odds that she would end up in this dingy summer camp? But here she was, in the flesh. Practically naked. He remembered her being incredibly cute, like one of those bronze-skinned plastic dolls with curly hair. But she looked all grown up with that tight little body and perfect breasts. He had to pry his eyes off of her before he lost his mind. He almost told her who he was but stopped himself. Why not have some fun first? Besides, she probably had no memory of him. She was a spoiled little princess who was lost in her own world. She wouldn't remember a mere peasant like him from her past. It didn't matter. She'll get to know him soon. This summer camp has just gotten ten times more fun. And now, he had his chance to be alone with her thanks to the old bastard, Elliot. Dude was so clueless that he didn't even notice her despair when he paired her up with him.
Audre walked away as fast as she could. That Aleks guy was getting on her nerves. She couldn't tell whether he was constantly joking or was an actual pervert. Either way, her guts told her to stay away from him and he was nothing but trouble. He was probably the kind of boy her father warned her against. After a long day at the orientation, Audre was finally able to retreat to her cabin. She found two other girls sitting on their assigned beds. "Hi, I'm Kim," the girl with short black hair said. "You must be the new girl," she said. "Yes. I'm Audre. Have you been working here long?" Audre asked. "This is my third year. It's fun, and I could use the extra cash. This is Kimmy," she said and pointed at the other girl who had long brown hair she wore in a high ponytail. "Kim and Kimmy?" Audre laughed. "Yup. It gets confusing. Good thing we look nothing alike." Kimmy laughed and shook her head. "It's nice to meet you guys. I look fo
