Isabella's POV

The life I want is nothing compared to what I have been served. Everyday feels like a struggle to survive, first my mum now my dad, leaving me with this awful mother and daughter duo. Why didn't I join my mother in the car accident that took her life? Or even died along with my dad when he had cancer. It was a bit better when he was alive, at least I would get a pass 3-4 days when dad wasn't on any business trips or working from his office. My step mom Vivian and sister Charlotte have one good goal in life, making me miserable in every possible way.

In just a year of dad's absence, they have ruined the company my dad and mom built with their sweat, and even went as far as changing my dad's will to make them sole owners of the company.

My name is Isabella Monette, the daughter of Julia and Francis Monette. Well I am a mute, not by choice, but from an accident that happened years back which caused the death of my mom. Those years were rough, but my dad and I held on to it with peace and warmth, till it became overwhelming for him, he brought Vivian in for little help, the watch over her while I am gone, the please take her to the park, soften my dad's heart towards her and she eventually ended up in his bed, this led to her getting pregnant and becoming my step mom. At first she was sweet and kind, until her daughter came of age, I was then shown cruelty in my own home, she took over most of the things I liked, my favourite colours, my favorite toys, and when dad would hear of this, he would say

"I know Charlotte can be very demanding, but remember my love, she is your sister now, pls share, but I will talk to her to never forcefully take away a thing that you like.".

I would feel relieved for a few minutes, and then right after, she would do worse. This went on for some time and I felt it would just be that way,

Today there was no difference, she took my spot again. Andrew and I are celebrating our fourth anniversary, we wanted to get a bit closer, very intimate and I had kept myself for this moment for the man I loved, but after swiping the key card to the hotel room, I was surprised instead, at this point I realized how pained I am for being a mute, I could only stand there and watch, watch my boyfriend of 4 years cling to my sister like he was on life support. I cried and felt blurry for some time, while trying to move out I mistakenly hit a glass vase, this startled them.,..

"Babe come back, it's nothing". Charlotte said, but Andrew didn't listen and by the time he got to the door, I had left , with my heart broken into a million pieces. How did I get here? It seems everything and everyone had a vendetta against me. What was my offense exactly, I have seen mute people leave a more fulfilling life than I will ever dream of. Out of nowhere, a man came calling after me. Like he knew me, but he looked old, very old for me, I took to my heels, running through the hallways of the hotel after he tried pressing his lips against mine, trying to ensure that I got away from this man, I could only cry, that's all I am good at, no voice to speak, just a chunk of silent wood, but I am desperate and praying some miracle happens here and now, else this evil will catch up with me.

"Slow down, don't make me scream, I paid handsomely for the pleasure you've deprived me up on till now. I won't show any mercy when I handle that banging body". Well, at least my physique was good. I had an hour glass shape that expanded around the hips, and Charlotte had been jealous of it for as long as I had it for. Who would possibly sell me off to a strange and older man for money.. well all this kept coming into my mind while I kept banging on every door I got closest to.

While in a haste I had tripped into an open door, I think my loud banging disturbed some of the hotel residents and one decided to see who's probably been banging on doors like a complete maniac. Whatever the case may be, I am grateful that he opened the door cause I immediately tripped and fell into the room, crawling with my stomach out of pain, I was completely away from the door,

"Hmm, aren't you a beauty my dear". A man said.

"They sure listened when I said I wanted the best". Wait, did I just escape the hyena online to be devoured by the crocodile? Why is every man with an erection after me this evening?

"Well take this, it should calm your nerves". He handed me something that looked like water, and as stupid as I am I drank. Well in my defense I was really thirsty from all the running around. It seemed blurry and heavy after drinking the water.

"That will calm your nerves dear"he said and not too long, I passed out

Theopelius POV

"I am busy Laurel and have no time for these silly games, so what do you want?"I asked myself proclaimed girlfriend and the heiress of the Matteo family.

"Can't I come see you any longer, Theo?"Seriously, work has been demanding and having her around isn't what I want anyways, she will only distract me with her constant yabbing and I know damn well that she's here for my credit card. Even though she is the heiress, punching out some thousand dollar bills from me is something she does on a regular basis, so I am actually not surprised. I handed out my card

"Here, go, my driver will take you for your shopping spree, get whatever it is you want.". With that I got an unsolicited hug from Laurel.
