The silence in the Crest estate was no longer comfortable….it was oppressive. Elena stood in the marble hallway outside the east wing, staring at the antique double doors that now separated her from Damien. Her fingers trembled around the keycard as she slid it into the panel. A soft beep echoed.

This part of the estate had once belonged to Damien's grandparents. It had been empty for years, preserved more out of respect than function. And now, it would be hers.

"Ma'am, your belongings have been moved as requested," one of the staff said politely behind her.

Elena nodded without looking back. "Thank you."

The doors opened, revealing a suite of rooms colder than she remembered. It didn’t matter. At least here, she could breathe without feeling like she was drowning in judgment.

Her relationship with Damien had splintered over weeks of pressure, betrayal, and mistrust. After the leaked photo of Sierra dining with Adrian and Maverick, Elena had expected an all-out war from their enemies.

  • The CEO’s Vengeful Bride   Chapter 120 – “Judgment Day”

The air inside the conference room was thick with tension. Every chair was filled, but no one dared to sit at ease. The table was polished to a mirror finish, reflecting the faces of the most powerful figures in the room: Damien, Elena, Sierra, their respective legal teams, and a silent army of advisors.A single manila envelope lay at the center of the table. Its contents would decide the fate of the Montrose and Crest empires…...and, perhaps, the very course of Elena’s life.Elena’s pulse hammered in her chest as she stared at the envelope, every fiber of her being bracing for the truth to break free. She had spent days, weeks agonizing over what the DNA test would show. Could it be true? Could Sierra really be her twin? And if so, how could this have happened under her very nose?Damien stood by the window, his back to her, but she could feel his presence. It was no longer the comforting pillar it once was. The warmth between them had shriveled into something cold and distant. His

The morning headlines hit harder than any boardroom ambush.“Montrose International: The Dawn of Ethical Surveillance.”“Sierra Montrose Vows a New Corporate Legacy.”“Crest Technologies on Edge as Sister Rivalry Spills Into Market.”Elena stood frozen in the Crest strategy room, surrounded by plasma screens glowing with Sierra’s smug face. Her sister wore her signature ivory blazer, the one she'd inherited from their mother. A symbolic stab, Elena realized. Everything Sierra did now was curated for attack…measured, polished, personal. And devastating.Sierra’s press statement played again, this time louder."Today, we launch Montrose International with a promise: no more secrets, no more corruption, no more shadows behind corporate walls. We are not just building systems. We are rebuilding trust. Crest Technologies has long operated with impunity. That ends now. A new era begins - transparent, inclusive, and unapologetically clean."Elena’s jaw tightened. “She just declared war.”Isa

The door to Maverick’s office clicked shut behind Elena as she stared at the wall of surveillance monitors. Her fingers trembled at her sides. She’d seen enough. There, frozen on the third screen from the left, was her bedroom….her sanctuary….captured in high definition. The time-stamp on the bottom corner didn’t lie.“February. March. April…” she whispered, eyes scanning the filenames on the connected hard drive. Each was labeled methodically: E-Master-Room-Angle3. Some even included her initials. She turned, stomach knotting with nausea, and faced Damien. “How long has this been going on?”He looked just as shaken but quickly tried to mask it behind his CEO calm. “I had no idea this was in his office.”“Don’t lie to me,” she snapped, voice cracking. “Please, not now.”Damien didn’t respond. His silence was an answer in itself and that made the sting worse.Maverick, ever the showman, entered through the side door, straightening his cufflinks. “Ah. I see you’ve found the beating hear

  • The CEO’s Vengeful Bride   Chapter 116 – “Damien’s Dilemma”

The air in the Crest boardroom was suffocating. Tension buzzed through the floor-to-ceiling windows as Damien stood at the head of the table, tie loosened, sleeves rolled up. Every shareholder, lawyer, and department head in the room looked ready to implode."We’re hemorrhaging credibility," one of the board members said sharply. "The Montrose scandal has shaken investor confidence. You must create distance, Damien. Publicly."He didn’t flinch. But his jaw tightened. "Distance from Elena will not solve this.""It will if she’s seen as the problem," another chimed in, sliding a stack of reports across the table. Headlines screamed: MONTROSE BLOODLINE IN DOUBT – CREST SHARES DROP 11%.Across the table, Damien’s fingers twitched, but he didn’t reach for the reports. Instead, he scanned the room, memorizing faces. Loyalists. Opportunists. Vultures.“I said what I said,” Damien said coldly. “There is no Crest without Elena.”The room descended into murmurs, but his voice cut through again.

  • The CEO’s Vengeful Bride   Chapter 115 – “Divide and Conquer”

Elena, I used to believe the world could end with a bang. Explosions. Betrayal. Fire. But I was wrong. Sometimes, the world ends with “doubt”. And it spreads faster than any flame. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The media didn’t wait. By dawn, Montrose Bloodline Scandal was a trending topic across every platform. Every photo of me and Damien was recast under a new, ruthless lens—"The Heiress and Her Empire: Built on a Lie?" They dissected everything. My childhood. My education. My leadership at Crest. The number of shares I controlled. Even the way I smiled at charity galas. All of it was weaponized. I sat alone in the PR war room, a dozen screens playing a dozen broadcasts, each one more brutal than the last. “Anonymous sources claim Elena Montrose’s entire identity may be based on falsified inheritance...”“If her sister wins in court, we could see the biggest corporate reallocation in a decade...”

  • The CEO’s Vengeful Bride   Chapter 114 – “A Sister’s Wrath”

Elena There are moments when your life doesn’t shatter with a scream but with silence. The kind that echoes in your bones, crawling up your spine like a cold wind that knows your name. Sierra was my sister. My blood. My mirror in a world I never saw coming. And now, she wanted war. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The press conference was scheduled with brutal precision – no leaks, no whispers, no hint of warning. Just a formal invitation, discreetly sent to all media outlets that had ever whispered the Montrose name with reverence or scandal. It was held at a boutique law firm downtown. Not the kind that begged for tabloid attention. The kind that quietly restructured legacies. I watched from Damien’s office, the walls of Crest Tower as cold as the tension bleeding through the screen. There she stood. Sierra. Wearing white……clean, pristine, deliberate. Her hair coiled back, her makeup soft but su

  • The CEO’s Vengeful Bride   Chapter 113 – “Twins or Fakes?”

Elena The air in the Crest penthouse was thick with silence. Not the peaceful kind. The kind that follows shock, dangerous and humming with the weight of truth not yet spoken. I stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the city blink like it didn’t just fall apart. Like my name wasn’t on the edge of ruin. Like I didn’t just discover I might not be the only Montrose daughter. DNA testing. It sounded clinical, detached. But the moment the samples were couriered off in a secure package with no traceable trail, it became real. Damien had made the arrangements through a private firm used only by those with more to lose than the truth itself.“Under the radar,” he’d said. “No labs tied to Crest. No chance of tampering.”Now, the waiting was agony. I clutched the journal in my hand…..my mother’s. One of many I’d inherited and barely touched. The leather was cracked at the corners, the ink faded in parts. I'd never thought to dissect it. Never thought her soft words hid violence an

  • The CEO’s Vengeful Bride   Chapter 112 – Inheritance War

The ride to the Montrose law offices was a blur. Rain spattered the tinted windows of the car as Elena sat rigidly in the back seat, her mind a storm of questions, all clawing for answers. Damien had offered to come with her, but she'd declined. This was her family's mess……her burden…..and she needed clarity without distraction. Especially not from a man whose silence over breakfast had spoken volumes more than words. The marble facade of the Montrose legal headquarters loomed like a mausoleum. Cold. Regal. Unforgiving. A building meant for preserving legacies, and burying truths. Elena walked through the glass doors with her head held high, her black heels striking the floor with controlled precision. She had grown up roaming these halls as a child, eating mints from the receptionist's desk and pretending to be a judge in the mock courtroom her father had once built as a publicity stunt. Today, she wasn’t pretending. She was a woman on the edge of unraveling everything. "Miss Cre
