The fashion exhibition ended so well with success, and made a great impact on the guests that attended the party. There was more time for pictures and meetings at the end of the exhibition, but Ava left immediately when the fashion exhibition was done, and didn't even wait for Jace to join her.
She informed him on the phone later that she had returned to the suite, and he promised to visit later when she had taken a full rest, and recovered from her jet lag. By the time Ava got back to her hotel suite and climbed the elevator, she pulled the heels she was wearing because her legs were cramped from it already. When she opened the door to the suite and tiptoed to the room her kids were sleeping, she let out a sigh of relief when she realized that they were still fast asleep. She turned back immediately and walked out into the expansive space, as she perfunctorily stepped out of the dress that she was wearing immediately. She walked into the living room and slouched upon one of the couches in her black lingerie, as her hand picked from one of the numerous throw pillows and placed it on her stomach. Her demeanor had taken a sudden turn ever since she got home, and she had been feeling so troubled in her heart. The sudden urge to cry overwhelmed Ava as her lips began to tremble, and she couldn't decipher if it was because she was sad or because she was frustrated. She let out restrained laughter as she tried to catch her breath for a while, and sudden heat surged through her face and body again. The room was cold and yet she still felt so much heat as her eyeballs stung, and she tried so hard to swallow every bulging feeling in her throat. She felt so tired and weak. Her mind was racing and her head was spinning. She had so many things coming for her after returning to New York, to start a bigger part of her life and career. And she had mysteries to unravel too. Especially the one about her birth mother. The one person whose good intuition had pulled her out of peril. The very one person she wanted to find so badly. 'Time would solve everything,' Ava's heart assured her, as she stood up from the couch and walked into the bathroom to take a warm bath. And she really hoped that it would. …~*~…•…~*~… The extravagant silk plain colored curtain was still fully draped over the full glass sliders in the suite, and a soft melody of classical music settled into the air alongside the flowery fragrance. Ava's body flipped from left to right on the bed, as she snuggled tightly into her bed covers. Her eyes flickered awake and her eyelids parted compulsively to the jolting of her brain, as she raised her head immediately to look at what time from the mechanical clock that was sitting on the dresser in the room. Still tired, she mumbled some rubbish and groaned as she took time to stretch her limbs, before realization suddenly hit her that everywhere around her was too quiet apart from the music playing."Shit!" She muttered as soon as she got a hint of what could be happening, as she stumbled down from her bed while trying to rush down. Barefooted, she walked out of her room to the next room and pulled the doorknob open, but the room was without anyone which made her rush to the living room immediately. 'Her children were surely up to something,' her mind told her."Oh my goodness!" She exclaimed under her breath the moment her eyes sighted the refrigerator that was left open, and her eyes traced to her kids that were sitting on the dining table with something in their mouths. There were pieces of unused and scrunched toilet paper on the floor, and the bread nylon had been torn to the floor already. On the dining table was an even worse mess that she couldn't see clearly from where she was standing."Morning, mummy," Autumn, who was the first to see her mother, called out to her with a smile, which prompted Evan to turn and see their mother standing behind them."Good morning, dear mother," he greeted with a sense of humor, which made Ava chuckle mildly, even if she was fuming inwardly at the sight of what she was looking at in the dining room as she moved closer. There were different stain marks of the strawberry jam they were using for bread smudged everywhere on the table, and there was a sign of an unsuccessful attempt to pour milk into their cups, with the retained remnant liquid still drizzling off the table."Morning, darlings," she answered with a smile, as she tried to brace herself that she could get another day over, with raising her kids before she got them enrolled in a new school. 'You can do this, mama bear,' she encouraged herself in her mind. She asked the kids if they had brushed and they nodded affirmatively, and she addressed them again concerning their forgetful nature about closing the fridge, and making messes. As she tried to pack the unnecessary plates that they had used to fill the table up, she heard her phone ring from the room and went to pick it up. The call was concerning the new house that Ava had just purchased, and a confirmation mail to finalize the documents for the purchase. The next call she received after she dropped the call was from Jace, and he called to ask if they were settling in well without problems. She informed him of her plans to move immediately after the house documents were done with, and hung up minutes later after a prolonged talk."Hey, kids. Hurry up and have breakfast. We are moving to our new house today," Ava called the children the moment she dropped the call. But first, there was so much to do with repacking. ~`•|•`~ Anna Jones had every worker in her fashion company shuddering in fear, ever since she arrived almost thirty minutes earlier than the usual time they usually resumed work. She had been dishing out angry orders, queries, and overtime to different unit heads, and teams that were not well functional according to her. The previous day after she had gorgeously dressed in her stunning dress and left with a chauffeur, the tires of the deluxe car suddenly went flat after a road bump that took so many minutes to fix. By the time the car finally arrived at the art museum, the red carpet was over and there was barely anyone outside. Anna went bonkers on the spot. She wanted to show off her dress so badly, and show off the work of her brand since people seemed to be forgetting already. To make matters even more terrible for her, she ended up sitting at an undesirable spot and missed seeing Ethan whom she really came for. She had been trying her utmost best to gain his attention and get back with him for so long, and each of her efforts to go back to him had been proving futile. After the fashion exhibition was over, she tried to look around with the hope of seeing Ethan before he left, but the most disastrous mistake of someone ended up ruining her night. A young third-generation elite from a wealthy family had stumbled upon her, and spilled the red wine she had in her hand on Anna's dress. The rude lady asked that Anna send her account details to be reimbursed for the cheap dress, but it ended up crazy because Anna yanked the proud young lady by the hair angrily. It took so much effort from the organizers to stop the fight, placate the two furious ladies, and prevent the issue from getting out to the hungry reporters that were waiting to prey on any celebrity news. The night ended so sour for Anna, even if she made sure to get twice the amount the dress was produced with."Call the PR team here right now!" Anna ordered her fidgety assistant, who dashed out immediately to get the people in the team back to the office."You have just 72 hours to get our clothes as the trending topic amongst influencers and A-list socialites. I need a new promotional video with effect! New marketing strategies! I want results! I don't care how you do it, and how you achieve it. Else, I'll get all of you fired!" Anna yelled at their faces in anger as she fumed so much with rage, and her cheeks quaked like a shaken bottle of gaseous drink planning to erupt. Nothing was going well for her. After the whole suffocating morning and restless moment in the JO-ANN fashion house, Anna could finally calm down and take a break on her office couch after she pulled on the stilettos she had on. Nina served her iced coffee and sandwich on request as she laid on the couch in her office, and she also put on the television for Anna to watch. In less than ten minutes of Anna watching the television after changing channels multiple times, the news that first came to her view was about the tremendous success of Ethan's company. The talk of him derailed her mood immediately after she saw the news, because of the pain of knowing that she had messed up her chance with him. The next broadcast news caught her attention as she was about to switch off the television in anger, the moment she read what the headlines were about; AVARSON is taking the fashion world by storm with new promotional videography and launching.AVARSON; A popular Singapore brand takes its new atelier in New York.AVARSON; The art that pleases the mind. Her mind became fully immersed in what she was reading, and her anxiety increased at the mention of a new fashion brand that was sending waves across the internet. She wondered what was going on as she picked up her phone to browse the brand, with the sole intention of finding out who the owner of the brand could be. A deep frown crept on her face.'Who owned the brand?' she wondered endlessly.Hi, everyone. A leap over two years………"Oh my goodness, Ava. I am pregnant! I am carrying a life inside of me!" I cannot believe it. Come fast! I am waiting at the club," Ava read Dali's message with excitement, as she navigated her car dressed in a black sexy gown and heels, ready to party with her friend. "What pregnant woman goes to the club, Dali?" Ava chuckled as she and Dali clicked their glass of wine together, under the glowing lights of the club they were sitting in. "My type of woman!" Dali screamed happily, and chugged down the content of the non-alcoholic wine which she was drinking, "I am becoming a proud Mum," she declared blissfully. "I am so happy for you, darling. Congratulations," Ava pulled her tightly for an embracing hug. "I am so happy, honestly. Even if Lucio said it was fine, I feared that I might not be able to give him a child after many IVFs. I guess the lord still had many blessings for me," Dali expressed happily, beaming with smiles. She was wearing a simple red dre
The air was cool and crisp, carrying with it the earthy scent of damp moss and fallen leaves, while the gentle movement of a nearby stream added a soothing rhythm to nature. Fireflies flew around with their tiny lanterns blinking in the darkness, adding to the light that the moon reflected on the environment, making everywhere look bright. Ava and Ethan sat side by side with their hands intertwined on a fancy mat, and their gazes were fixed upon the horizon where the fading sun painted the sky in shades of pink and orange. The soft breeze tousled through their hair occasionally as a moment of silence passed between them, wordlessly expressing the deep connection they felt in that moment that they were by themselves. She also didn't forget to bring with her a picnic basket which she had put every food delectable in, and spent the entire evening eating, while enjoying the cool sight of nature with Ethan. However, she was tired of not talking. She wanted to complain to him. "Ethan.
Two months had passed by just the fleeting turning of days into weeks, and things had changed more than Ava could have ever imagined. In the best way. Dali was fully out of the hospital already and was only on meds, while sticking with her sweetheart, who refused to leave her side. AVARSON had launched their new collections for a new season, and gained more recognition than ever in global markets. And she was now recognized as the wife of billionaire, Ethan Walton all over the city which increased her popularity. They made a few public appearances after the news about them came out, and it had now become known that they were indeed married to one another. It came as a shock to everyone, and it took the entire media industry by storm because it was too hard to believe. It got even crazier to comprehend when it was confirmed that they had twin children who were five years of age, even if people didn't know more about them, because Ethan had used his affluence to block the media that
Ethan was sitting comfortably on the chair with his fingers interlocked into one another, as he waited patiently for Jace, who was being guarded by the prison guards, to the prison visiting room. He was trying to hold back the anger in him concerning everything that Jace had done to try and hurt his family. As they sat across one another with the close watch of the guards that were outside, Ethan's eyes narrowed as he stared at Jace who looked unremorseful of his actions. As they sat in silence, the room seemed to shrink in on them with the suffocating weight of their emotions "So you wanted to see me," Jace finally broke the silence as he remained flinty-eyed, with his arms neatly folded beneath his chest. "It is so surprising to see how well you can talk after everything that you have done," Ethan remarked with a malicious smirk, trying to make the conversation slow and minimal so that he would not end up doing the evil things he wanted to do by himself to Jace. He was so glad t
"It is so nice to have everyone care for me. I mean, Ethan is literally asking every minute if I'm breathing fine," Dali chuckled from where she was lying, with an IV being passed into her arm and a nasal cannula attached to her nostrils. "He truly cares about you. He bothers every minute," Ava answered. "It is not like I asked for it. I already told you guys to leave me and continue with your business," Dali frowned and rolled her eyes. "Stop it, Dali. Stop taking your health for granted," Ava cautioned her with a heavy voice and sad heart, hating that Dali was taking the fact that she barely survived a big illness with levity. "I am not dying, okay. I want everyone to understand that," Dali rolled her eyes with a serious face, as she stretched her hand to pick the bottle of juice on the table next to her which Ava rushed to pick for her quickly, "I can do this myself too you know," she hissed. She didn't want anyone to help her and act like she was dying. "Please, Dali. Just
