Ariana's Pov

I turned around and came face to face with Anna. She stared at me with a straight face.

"Alpha specifically instructed you to stay in his chambers. What are you doing here?" Anna asked, her voice barely a whisper.

"I, I, I," I stammered trying to find an excuse to give, my voice just a above a whisper. " I needed water," I replied, my voice trembling.

"Who is there?" I heard Victoria ask, and I began to plead with Anna not to give me away.

"Ma'am, it's me," Anna replied. "Just cleaning," she added and pulled me by the arms up the staircase when Victoria didn't say anything.

"There are no humans here. I put something in the water to help you gain your strength and also to mask your scent. If any of the werewolves find you, you will be dead in seconds before Alpha Demitri gets here," Anna explained after getting me back into the room.

"Thank you for not letting me out," I appreciated, standing in front of Anna.
