AVA.
I rest my head on the rolled up window, relishing the feeling of finally leaving The Kincaids. Alpha Gavin was the one driving with my bike in the trunk of his car and Andrea beside me. Aurelia and her boyfriend, the beta were driving in a Jeep behind us and I knew they kept a close distance because of Alpha Gavin and his orders to keep us three close. “What music do you girls listen to?” Alpha Gavin asks looking at me through the rearview mirror. “Anything… R&B?” I shrugged trying to remember the last time I listened to music. He sighed putting on one of Bey's music for me. It lightened my mood as I bopped in my seat for the first part of the song and then singing along to the chorus. In a little less than two hours we were at the GreenValley Pack's border, a vast land with one glasshouse in the centre. The men in front of the border gave Alpha Gavin a thumbs up as he drove through the territory. The green forest we were driving through gave way to tall buildings and from the appearance of the place, I could guess that it was a non-residential area. In another thirty minutes we were at a large mansion, painted white and in the middle of a fairly large field. “This is the pack house,” Alpha Gavin said and added just before getting down from the car,“Wake your sister up.” I hissed through my teeth and tapped Andrea awake.“We are here already,” I said as soon as she blinked her eyes open. “Ohh...” She was amazed at the difference between the pack and the human city in which we had lived. “The alpha is waiting for us, Andrea,” I reminded her when I saw that she was not in hurry to get out of the car, just viewing her surroundings. When we got down, we met the alpha with a middle aged woman, Aurelia and Beta Jacob standing beside him. “This is my to be Luna,” Alpha Gavin grinned, pointing to the beautiful lady beside him. “Good evening Luna...” I trailed off on purpose since I didn't know her name. “Annette and please remove the Luna title, I'm not yet a Luna.” She replied, blushing slightly. “Still, you are going to be my Luna,” I shrugged turning back to Alpha Gavin. “You said to wanted to have a talk with us when we still in the city.” I reminded him. “That will be during dinner. I had Annette prepare a five-course meal to welcome you girls.” He replied. I blushed. I have never been given such attention and it was wierd to be getting it now. “So why don't we go in and let me show you my skills at cooking.” She gave a mock bow and led us into the mansion... or rather, packhouse. When we got into the building, Alpha Gavin led his Luna and Beta to his private elevator and ordered us to follow the one just opposite his.We got to the third floor in no time and he showed us around the house that was painted white all around. The floor was tiled with black marble and the walls were filled with paintings and pictures. “What don't you girls eat and then go unpack and check out your rooms.” Annette said and gave one of her wide smiles,“I had them decorated pink... yunno, for girls?” “It's fine, ma. My best colours are black and pink, actually,” I replied quietly, hoping Andrea and Alia won't think I'm being too forward,“Secondly, we don't have anything to unpack. We came empty handed.” “Really? I'll add a touch of black to yours then.” She grinned widely. “I'm famished, Annette. Can we eat now?” Alpha Gavin asked leading the way to the already set dining table.– – – – – When we were done eating, Annette suggested we watch a movie so she and the alpha cuddled on the sofa, as well as beta Jake and Aurelia. Andrea was in her room already and I decided to watch some more of the movie before I go to sleep. Soon, I heard an excited squeal from the hallway. I was the only one nice enough to go check on Andrea and I met her on her bed looking flushed. “I can't believe I have this room all to myself. It's like a dream come through, why don't you go check yours,” She didn't even let me talk, rambling on about everything she's seen in the room. “I better check mine,” I muttered walking down the hallway.I took out the key Annette gave me and opened the door to reveal a marvelously furnished room. The walls to my room were textured a dusty pink paint. The floor tiled with the same marble in the living room was covered at the centre with a plush pink rug. My queen sized bed had black and brown bedding already laid out. There was also a floor-length window that was covered in black and pink organza curtains. Just opposite my window was a reading table with a few novels on it and two diaries with a fancy pen as well.My candle collection was by the head board of my bed with a vanity table and small stool few metres away from the door. A large wardrobe filled with trendy clothes stood beside a door, probably the bathroom.I squealed in excitement but I have to thank Alpha Gavin and Luna Annette first, then I can check out the other insignificant things I may not have seen.I came out of my room, locked the door and went back to the living room. “Alpha Gavin? Luna Annette?” I called looking down at the floor. “Yes?” Annette answered in that sweet voice of hers. “I just wanted to thank you for taking us in and for arranging our rooms. I also noticed the wordrobe,” I muttered the last part with a shy smile. “It's fine, dear. Are you Ava?” She asked. I smiled, “Yes ma.” I replied. People usually mistook us for the other so I always did my hair into a bun, Andrea also styled hers in a ponytail and Alia allowed her hair to flow downwards… she even dyed it at times. “Yes, Ava! We are very happy to have new pack members and we may initiate you into the pack, if you want,” She said turning to the alpha. “Of course if they want,” I just nodded and went back to my room.I jumped on my bed turning on the bedside lamp so I could go through the novels on the table before I go to sleep. I'm finally out of the big city, away from Coleen and her husband. I may not have to wake up at four am in this house. I fell into deep sleep cherishing the large bed I now had.AXEL. I paced around my room in worry. Mr.Sei's men were close and Brooke had no plans to talk to the goddess again. Ivan wasn't ready for a fight but I can't take chances… humans are crafty beings and you can't guess where and how they will strike.I stopped pacing for a minute tapping my chin, nervously. Apart from bullets, we can kill them with something else which would be faster... Wolfsbane. Even though the grass' liquid was highly poisonous to werewolves and manangals only, it still had an effect on humans as well and if they are injected with a good dose of it, it may kill them. ‘Come to my room, now.’ I mindlinked Ivan and Shane at the same time.In minutes, they had arrived with Ivan holding a packet of cigarettes and a lighter and Shane smoking a cigarette. “Please, can you guys stop smoking? This is a serious matter and there is a big problem.” I told them, already annoyed. “Okay, sir.” Shame replied me mockingly and dropped the cigarette on the ash tray I kept
AVA.I woke up to the sound of Doja Cat's song...I didn't get enough sleep because I was out checking the pack house for half an hour and also staying awake till three am.I got out of my bed and headed into the bathroom. It was the best I'd seen, with a white spotless bathtub and shower that was powered by electricity even though Alpha Gavin said he will install a Jacuzzi for us.I sat in the bathtub enjoying the heat that was provided by the warm water in the tub. I heard a voice in my head and listened to distinguish the voice, it was Luna Annette.“You know you can't stay in your room all day, you've got to help in the kitchen and prepare for the trainings.” She said through the mindlink mad I sighed getting out of the bathtub.“We should have sometime to ourselves before we start joining in the house chores.” I muttered as I washed the soap suds off my body.“You know I can hear you, right?” She pointed out with a chuckle.“Yes Luna, but I need to close this mindlink. You can't ju
ANDREA.I walked into the large training field holding on tightly to Alpha Gavin's hand. He noticed the wierd stares I was getting and decided to prep me on the pack trainings.“The daily routine starts by seven and ends by eight. The pack warriors usually set out training plans for the week and today's plan is very simple. Just running around the track and then you do sit ups and push ups,” He explained.“That I can live with, it's not so hard and it's just an hour,” I shrugged. It wasn't a big deal really. Considering all the work I did at the Kincaid's, it wasn't a deal at all.“So... Pair up, Aaron usually gets angry when people are lazying around,” He winked at the fierce looking guy on the track.“Another thing! Don't call him Aaron whenever you're talking to him, he's the gamma,” Alpha Gavin warned.I bopped my head, nervously looking around for anyone I can pair up with.“Hey new girl!” I heard a familiar voice call. I turned around to see Leonie, the chatty girl I met at the
ANDREA. Alpha Gavin dropped me off at the academy after our hectic training routine. I got into the IT Unit building. It was large and I could see students with laptops, tablets, palmtops and everything tech-related. The alpha told me the Surveillance Academy was created when rogues were coming in an out of the pack as though it was their home and killing anyone that came their way.Now the academy and it's workers; people who have graduated from the academy, provided the pack with electric fences that killed any wolf or person that tries to get into the pack by scaling the fence. They also had face scanning technology and fingerprint scanners at the tower on the border of the pack so all werewolves that were part of the pack have their faces and fingerprints saved in the control system once they are initiated into the pack.I looked around for Leonie but it seemed that she was late to everything. The principal, Alpha Gavin of course had given me my schedule and school map but I got c
AVA. We had closed for the day at the bakery and Luna Annette drove me in her Escalade to the Stone Hill bar saying it was part of their Friday traditions to go to the human bar, get a bit tipsy, discuss the matters of the pack and drive home in a daze. Luna Annette said it was fun to be driven home by a man who's just downed three bottles of beer and four shots of vodka…even though I think it’s pretty risky. “Here. Spray this.” Annette said as she handed me a spray bottle. “What's that?” I asked not taking the bottle from her. “A scent disguiser. StoneHill is a human bar and we don't want them to know that werewolves are in the premises.” She explained. “Though it is operated by werewolves.” I nodded, taking the bottle from her and spraying it behind my ears and underarms. StoneHill bar was crawling with half-naked ladies and shirtless muscular men…who I suspected to be werewolves. There were only two waitresses and one male bartender. Annette's eyes darted around the room to
AXEL. Mr. Sei's men had surrounded our pack and declared a fight on us. Brooke had been busy in the temple, trying to communicate with the goddess but with no luck. “They are closing in on the pack house. ” Ivan said and I looked down from the balcony where I was. There was an army of humans and a few werewolves…from what I could scent. “Get me my pack of bullets…the ones laced with wolfsbane.” I called to Ivan as I took out my pistol. He passed it to me and I loaded my gun with them giving a smirk as I cocked it, ready to pull the trigger. “These are wolfsbane laced bullets and can kill all of you within seconds.” I paused looking at the werewolves among them and watching them shudder and lower their guns slightly. “Wolfsbane can't kill a lycan, can it?” A young boy among them mocked and I stepped back. What the actual fuck? They went all the way to capture a lycan Prince to help them fight. Well, he won't be going back alive… I had a bucket of liquidised silver and that was
AURELIA. I stretched my lean body out of bed. My alarm was set for six am so I can have breakfast and still meet up with Jake to take me to my film shoot by seven. I rolled out of bed and picked up my phone from the bedside table to meet three new messages… from Jake and Alpha Gavin. One read,‘Morning Sweetheart. I hope you slept well.’ I blushed. It was one of his usual traditions, to spice my mornings with messages that warmed my heart. They were not necessarily long… like this one but they still got to me. The second was a picture of his wolf standing beside his car, they were of the same colour but different shades… dark brown and light brown respectively. He added a short caption,‘How does he look?’ ‘He looks great. I'll put this on my lock screen.' I sent a quick reply to let him know I have seen the messages. I went over to the next message which read.‘Are you up already? Annette wants you to help make breakfast.’ I sighed. This looks so complicating, I have a shoot th
AXEL. My alarm rings and I stir, sitting up in bed. The red light glows into my eyes making me turn to the other side. Memories of last night come to me slowly and I touch the area of the bed where Jayce slept. It was cold. I get up, moving to my bathroom and slipping out of my slacks and boxer briefs… I usually sleep shirtless. I try to recollect my thoughts as I plan for the day. I would join in trainings briefly and then drive Jayce to his pack to I have the feeling that the boy may want to socialise in our pack before leaving. ‘You Up?’ Ivan asks sarcastically.‘I'm still in bed and I'm hearing you in my dreams.’ I reply him a sarcastically, meaningless statement. ‘Jayce was up thirty minutes before you… he's more prepared to be alpha than you.' Ivan mocked Not replying. I cut off the mind link and wear a fitting white t-shirt along with a pair of black joggers. “Good morning Alpha.” Jayce greeted from my living room where he sat, watching a cartoon on the TV. “Hey Jayce!
