Chapter 21 ~ Uncomfortable truth

“What made you change your mind?” Arthur asked. Kiana’s reason for her visit shocked Arthur because he didn’t expect her to speak about it so soon.

“You don’t want to hear it?” Kiana asked in a soft voice as she played with her purse in her hand. Her heart was racing rapidly as she waited for Arthur to respond.

Arthur stood up, walked over to his office couch, and gestured with his hand for Kiana to sit. “I didn’t say that.”

Kiana’s features relaxed a little when she saw that he wasn’t as angry as he was the previous day. She looked up at him and was about to speak up when the door opened and revealed Tim. “Sir, you have a call from the CEO.”

Kiana’s brows met when she heard that because what she knew was that Arthur was the CEO. So, what did Tim mean by that?
