POV: Callum Miller

Morning light poured relentlessly through the high kitchen windows, casting crisp, unforgiving rectangles across the polished hardwood floor.

My body felt raw, humming with a deep, persistent ache that vibrated through every nerve ending. The midnight edging session had left my core hyper-sensitive and throbbing, a constant, heavy physical reminder of the control Gideon had exerted over me under my own duvet. Every step I took down the back staircase sent a subtle shock wave of liquid heat straight up my spine, forcing me to tread carefully just to keep my knees from shaking.

I stumbled into the bright kitchen, reaching blindly for a clean ceramic mug on the shelf above the coffee maker.

My father was already seated at the head of the dark mahogany dining table, a half-empty cup of black coffee at his elbow and the morning newspaper spread flat before him. His glasses rested low on the bridge of his nose as he scanned the front page, entirely absorbed in local politics.

"Morning, Callum," Harlan murmured without looking up, turning a crisp page of newsprint. "You look exhausted. Did you sleep at all last night?"

"I... I slept fine, Dad," I stammered, my voice raspy and thin. My hands trembled as I poured dark roast into my mug, splashing a drop against the rim. "Just stayed up reading a bit late."

"Well, fix your mug and sit down," Harlan said absently, his pen scratching a note into the margin of the paper. "Gideon and I were just going over the schedule for the week."

My chest seized at the mention of his name. I turned slowly, my eyes instinctively seeking the far side of the dining table.

Gideon sat directly across from my father's chair.

He looked entirely pristine, untamed, and infuriatingly composed. Dressed in a dark, short-sleeved tactical polo that showcased the massive corded muscle of his forearms, he looked as though he had enjoyed eight full hours of undisturbed rest. A steam-ing cup of black coffee rested between his thick hands. His face was a mask of relaxed, military discipline, completely devoid of the dark, relentless intensity that had consumed him in my bed just four hours prior.

As I stepped toward the table, Gideon shifted his gaze, his piercing gray eyes locking dead onto mine.

The weight of his stare was an absolute physical force. My pulse skyrocketed, my breath catching in my throat as my mind flashed back to his heavy palm clamped firmly around my waist, trapping my climax in the dark. My legs felt like lead, and as I pulled out my chair to sit, my posture involuntarily slouched, my shoulders caving inward as I tried to shrink away from the burning intensity of his gaze.

Gideon’s eyes narrowed by a fraction of a millimeter…a subtle, dangerous shift that only someone attuned to his absolute authority would ever notice.

Without breaking eye contact, Gideon lifted his coffee mug slightly off the wood.

He didn't speak. Instead, his long, broad fingers tapped the ceramic rim of his mug in a deliberate, rhythmic pattern—tap, tap... tap. Three precise, hard strikes against the rim, repeating the exact physical cadence he used on Echo to demand immediate, unyielding alignment.

It was a coded command, delivered right under my father's nose.

The effect on my body was instantaneous. My submissive instincts took over before my conscious mind could even process the prompt. My spine snapped straight, my shoulders dropping back and locking into flawless, rigid posture. My chin tilted up, my chest expanding as I pulled my torso up off the table, sitting perfectly rigid in my chair with my knees pressed tightly together.

The sudden movement made my aching, hyper-aware core throb with a sharp, agonizing wave of heat. A quiet, pathetic gasp nearly escaped my lips, but I clamped my jaw shut just in time, my teeth digging into my lower lip until the sting brought tears to the corners of my eyes.

"Everything alright, Callum?" Harlan asked, glancing up over his glasses as he noticed my abrupt, rigid alignment. "You look like a cadet at inspection."

"I'm fine, Dad," I whispered, my voice tight and strained as I kept my eyes fixed straight ahead, refusing to let my posture break by even an inch. "Just trying to... stand up straight."

"Good posture is essential," Gideon rumbled into the quiet room, his gravelly baritone smooth, deep, and entirely natural. He took a slow sip from his mug, his gray eyes glinting with a dark, possessive satisfaction as he watched my chest heave under my shirt. "A young man should always carry himself with discipline, Harlan. Especially at the breakfast table."

"Couldn't agree more," Harlan agreed heartily, turning another page of his paper, completely oblivious to the silent, suffocating dynamic playing out three feet in front of him. "Make sure he keeps it up, Gideon. He's been far too relaxed lately."

"I intend to, Harlan," Gideon replied smoothly, lowering his mug back to the table with a soft clink.

Underneath the table, out of Harlan's line of sight, Gideon slowly extended one long, heavy leg.

The hard leather toe of his tactical boot slid across the rug, coming to rest firmly against the inside of my right ankle. He applied a steady, heavy pressure, pinning my leg in place against the chair leg…a tactile leash keeping me anchored directly to his will while my father read the news just inches away.

I sat there trembling, my posture rigid, my core burning with agonizing heat, completely marked and obedient to my Commander's morning protocol.

POV: Callum MillerThe echoes of the basement shower still hummed beneath my skin, every nerve ending inflamed and throbbing from the agonizing, unfinished pleasure Gideon had inflicted under the hot torrent. I had barely gathered my wits, dried my hair, and pulled on a fresh button-down shirt before the front doorbell chimed, signaling an arrival that shifted the atmosphere of the entire estate.Downstairs in the formal dining room, the heavy mahogany table was set for four. Harlan sat at the head, looking immensely pleased with himself, while Kaelen Vance occupied the seat directly across from me. Kaelen was twenty-four, impeccably styled, and dripping with the casual arrogance of old local money. His family held major investments with my father’s firm, making him a frequent, uninvited presence whenever business crossed into social obligations.Gideon sat to my left, imposing and immaculate in a dark fitted sweater. His hair was slightly damp from his own quick wash, his massive fra

  • The Commander's Pet   CHAPTER 25: SHOWER ROOM DISCIPLINE

POV: Callum MillerThe heavy footsteps of my father echoed up the basement stairs, followed by the muffled snap of a heavy oak door closing on the main floor. The moment the latch clicked shut overhead, the tense silence in the basement gym shifted, charged with a thick, suffocating electricity that made my knees wobble beneath me.I pushed myself off the rubber exercise mat, my body trembling violently from the brutal conditioning routine. Sweat dripped off my brow, stinging my eyes, sticking my thin shirt to my chest and lower back. I couldn't look Gideon in the eyes as I gathered my towel. I needed water, steam, and distance before my shattered composure completely failed me in the middle of the basement.I retreated into the narrow basement bathroom, stepping straight into the shower stall. Turning the brass knobs, I let the hot water roar to life, instantly filling the enclosed tile space with thick, white clouds of steam. I stripped off my sweat-soaked workout clothes, letting t

POV: Callum MillerThe heavy, metallic smell of iron weight plates and damp concrete hung thick in the air of the basement home gym.I was still trembling from the encounter in the study, my lower lip sore from Gideon’s bruising press, my core burning with an intolerable heat. But before I could even catch my breath, my father had summoned us both down to the lower level. Harlan stood at the foot of the stairs in his rolled-up sleeves, leaning against the doorframe with a mug of coffee in his hand, watching me with a critical eye."Look at you, Callum. You're pale, fidgety, and slouched over like a leaf," Harlan said, shaking his head with a stern sigh. "Living on campus has made you soft. Gideon, I want you to take him through a real tactical conditioning block. Put some discipline back into his spine before the semester kicks into high gear.""Understood, Harlan," Gideon replied smoothly, stepping into the middle of the rubberized mat.Gideon peeled off his dark polo shirt, tossing

POV: Callum MillerThe high-pitched whine of Kaelen’s sports car tearing down the gravel driveway faded into the distance, but the hot, poisonous knot in my gut refused to loosen. My hands were shaking so hard I could barely set the folded bath towels down on the hall console table. Every inch of my skin felt flushed, buzzing with a volatile mix of leftover jealousy, humiliated possessiveness, and the agonizing physical ache Gideon had built inside me since midnight.I couldn't stand being out in the open hallway where Harlan might walk by. I needed darkness, quiet, and a place to collect my shattered composure.I slipped into my father’s private study, retreating into the cool shadow of the floor-to-ceiling mahogany bookshelves. The room smelled of old leather bound volumes, polished walnut, and pipe tobacco. I leaned my lower back against the heavy wooden bookshelf, pressing my cold palms against the edges of the carved shelves, trying to slow my ragged breathing.I closed my eyes,

The memory of the morning protocol…the rhythmic tapping of Gideon’s mug, his heavy tactical boot pinning my ankle beneath the breakfast table while my father read the newspaper…was still burning vividly in my mind, keeping my core tight and my posture impeccably straight.A slick, navy-blue European sports car pulled up to the foot of the porch steps, its low bumper kicking up a spray of fine gravel. The driver's side door swung open, and Kaelen Vance stepped out onto the driveway. He was twenty-four, tall, exceptionally well-groomed, and radiating the effortless, obnoxious arrogance that came with belonging to one of the wealthies
