Lilith yawned for the hundredth time as she gazed to her side, noticing the large never ending piles of job interview application forms beside her.
She needed to get it done and yet it was well past mid night.
The buzzing of her phone softly filled her ears as she yawned once more. Forcing a tear out of her eye as she leaned back, stretching her arms over her head just to loosen them up a little.
'Hi there Lilith, was wondering if you were going to come for practice today since it's well past mid night and the staff left a little early. You might as well just come tomorrow after your work. Night.'
The voice of her acting director chimed from the voice message, causing her to groan loudly as she threw her arm over her eyes.
She clearly didn't have any more time left to continue her acting lessons now that she was promoted.
"Knock knock." A low deep voice whispered into the cubical, alerting Lilith who glanced towards the door, only to ease her tensed shoulders when it was just her old classmate, Hades. "Can I come in?" He asked, holding two steaming cups of coffee in his hands.
"You're practically already in. Why are you asking?" She sighed out in boredom as he pinched his lips together for a moment before stepping into the office made entirely out of glass. Of course the class walls could be coloured with one click of a button, but the boss just wanted to see every employee working at all times.
"I brought you some coffee." He raised her mug up with a small smile on his face as he placed it just in front of her. Not knowing if she was going to take it or not. She never really accepted his coffees, but since she still had much to do, he thought it was the perfect opportunity to give her some.
"Thanks." She sighed out in relief as she wrapped her fingers around the coffee, slightly taping the sides for warmth since it was getting a bit cold.
She lifted the mug to her lips and sighed out at the sweetness. It was creamy from milk and coffee creamer, sweetened with some sugar and mixed so well it made her entire body shiver at the taste.
"Is there chocolate in this?" She asked as she glanced up at Hades who had been staring at her, waiting to see her reaction. He looked around for a moment, not knowing if he should agree or not. He just didn't know how she would react to the wrong answer.
"Yeah." Hades shrugged his shoulders and she took another sip. "I heard you like chocolate so... I thought it would be okay."
"It's a nutty chocolate. But I haven't eaten a nut. Is it at the bottom?" Lilith asked, almost mostly to herself as she stared at the coffee.
"I heard you liked the nutty chocolates so I kind of took just a little and shredded them in the coffee." Hades explained, gaining confidence from the impressed look on her face.
"It's tastes like coffee dominantly... But with a slight chocolaty nutty taste at the end after all the sweet heavy milk and cream..... Wow this is good..." She moaned out, taking another deep sip only to hiss out as she burned her lips, getting Hades to sigh out in relief.
One step at a time. Hades convince himself before leaning from the desk and glancing down at the piles.
Compared to what she had marked approved so far and what was remaining on her desk was going to get her out of the office at three and back in the same crappy desk at eight.
"Want some help?" He asked as he pointed with his eyes towards the stack of unapproved forms.
"You want to help?" Lilith asked as she lowered her mug to the table, her sudden look of impress suddenly replaced with a rather serious gaze.
"I'm done with work, I don't think you'll be done any time soon." Hades shrugged his shoulders as he grabbed half the deck of papers and added a few more, leaving her with nearly a quarter.
She noticed the large pile he had taken and furrowed her brows at him, knowing clearly he was just trying to get on her good side.
"I know you were done three hours ago." Lilith said as she leaned back into her seat and stared at him as he assessed the papers. "You're a secretary, you leave when the boss leaves and you've still been around."
"Not like I don't have much work." Hades sighed out as he frowned. "I had some stuff to do that he asked me to."
"In that case, I don't want to burden you, you can leave this to me." Lilith said as she got up and leaned over the desk to grab the papers in his hands when he stepped back from her to prevent it.
"I insisted on helping." Hades furrowed his brows at her. "It'd not like you asked me. I just offered."
"Well I don't want any help." Lilith rolled her eyes, getting around the desk and walking to him, holding out her hand for him to give him. "Hand them over."
"Is this about what happened at the last office party?" Hades asked as he gazed into Lilith's threatening gaze. "I'm just trying to help. That's all."
Lilith sighed out, clenching her finger as she walked away from him and back to her desk, knowing he was going to persistent about the offer even if she tried snatching the papers back.
"It's not about what happened at the office party with you." Lilith said as she sat back down into her seat and sighed out. "You were just talking."
"Is it about what happened in highschool then?" He asked, staring down at her as she leaned from the seat and began to type on the monitor. "I said I was sorry."
"If you want to get home quick you better go start." Lilith pointed as she glanced up at Hades who clenched his jaw tightly. "Some of them are hard to confirm so you better hurry." She said before dropping her eyes back at the monitor.
He balled his fists as he stared at her a while longer before turning and leaving her office, heading towards his on the floor above hers.
The clock hits two, in the morning, and that just happens to be the exact moment he finishes last application form.Lilith was right, it wasn't as easy as he thought it was.He stands up, stretching his arms over his head as he yawns from the fatigue roaming his mind. She didn't come to say anything since he left the office, hopefully she was probably still filing the applications. If she still was, he was planing to finish them off for her through her desktop, just so he doesn't come back and forth. Not to beat around the bush... He just wants to give her a ride.He bites onto his lower lip and walks towards the door with the stack of papers in his hand, making his way into the elevator as he feels the intense coldness fill his entire body.It is deadly cold tonight.I'll have to buy her something warm to drink. He thinks to himself as he shoves his hands into his pockets. The doors opens a few seconds later and he steps out, only to pause as he notices the darkness of the floor. She
Hades dragged his feet towards the door, reaching out for the handle with his keys when he to noticed it was already open.He pushed the door further into the house and stepped in, glancing around until his eyes dropped to the floor, only to spot the feminine heels amongst the pile of his shoes and his housemate's.Quietly closing the door behind him, he locked it -- as his friend should have in the first place-- and walked straight into the living room, where he noticed the TV talking to itself with his friend, Morris, completely immersed in the sleeping curse on the couch with his girlfriend laying on top of him. Both in deep drenching slumber. He ignored them both this time as he would usually smack Morris awake to turn the screen off.He was only spared because Morris's girlfriend was there and he didn't want to disturb her.He walked out of the living room once he turned the TV off and walked up the stairs to his room. The heaviness in his eyes got the better of him the moment hi
(Recall)"H-Hi!" The young thirteen year old girl chimed as she waved her hand nervously, standing beside her sister Lilith who stood still, surveying the entire classroom. "My name is Ariel Lamar and this is my twin, Lilith..." She chuckled nervously as the students stared at them in bewilderment.Right in front of them were the twins of the famous Derek Lamar whose net worth is over billions worldwide. The school wasn't a fancy place for rich children just like Ariel and Lilith but it still was an expensive school.Lilith didn't say a word since her name had already been introduced by her twin. She didn't want to say anything else either, so she simply remained quite. The entire class's eyes were automatically glued onto Ariel who seemed to be the most vibrant of the twins and most sweet. Besides, the entire class had their curiosity on her body instead.Unlike the other thirteen year olds and her sister Lilith, Ariel had much larger breasts than the rest of the girls. Despite the f
(Present) Hades glanced up at the clock just on top of the cashier and it was well past ten now. He was clearly late for work since he had to stop by at a café just to buy a few things.... Ahem... For Lilith. "Here you go, freshly baked donuts, with chocolate filling, am I right?" The woman behind the counter asked as Hades nodded and fished out his wallet. She turned back to the hot drink he ordered and placed it beside the bag. "And a hot chocolate, sweetened plus heavy milk and a cookie." She finished and he simply nodded again as he handed out the money, getting her to frown since he literally did not answer any of her questions, even her good morning. He quickly grabbed his bag and cup after he paid her and walked out of the café, half running and walking towards his car. He glanced at the watch again and hissed under his breath once more before cruising into the road, nearly hitting into a car that honked at him loudly and aggressively. With a simple roll of his eyes, he ig
The moment Hades walked out looking like a whizzing teapot, everyone knew that he was furious and it didn't go well for him. Much worse than usual. He stepped into the elevator and tapped onto his floor and it only took a few minutes until the doors opened. He stepped out and headed to his Uncle's office, knowing he was about to receive some scolding. He knocked against the door and opened it a few seconds later, peeping into the room where he could see his uncle staring at a graph on the wall."I'm late." Was the first thing Hades said as he stepped into the room and closed the door. "I'm sorry.""You're a secretary, Hades. If you continue this I might have no other choice but to-" his uncle paused as he noticed the stain on his shirt and sighed out with a small nod. "I see. You can have a ten minute break to get your shirt cleaned at the dry cleaners. Come when you're ready." He sighed out and Hades nodded."Want some donuts?" He asked, holding up the bag as he walked to the desk an
Hades couldn't help but rub his eyes every now and then as they began to burn in the air from the lack of sleep. He glanced his desk to the watch just sitting at the corner of the room and it was just around noon, hardly close to their closing hours. He wasn't given that much work, but he couldn't sleep on the job. Not after he turned up late. Otherwise his uncle would degrade him, and he wouldn't want that. It was just embarrassing. He rose the coffee mug to his lips and took a small sip, sighing out as the strong taste of black coffee rolled on his tongue and down into his throat.Lilith would probably love a coffee...He thought to himself as he took another sip and glanced towards the door. She's probably tired too.He nodded to his own thoughts and got up from his seat, placing his mug down and walking towards the door as he made his way to the elevator. Once in, he quickly tapped the floor leading to the in-door café, a café just for the employees in case they skipped breakfast
"Okay." His uncle sighed out as he smacked his hands against the table, getting Hades to glance up at him in confusion. "At least tell me she's just playing hard to get.""It took you the entire day to figure that out?" Hades sighed as he folded his arms to his chest while sitting across from him, sitting on the waiting couches since he had finished his work a while back and decided to watch his uncle work.As though that sounded normal in the least."It didn't take me that long." He shrugged his shoulders and flashed Hades a grin to which he eventually rolled his eyes to."It's freaking, 8:45pm, Gary." He sighed out as he run his hand through his hair."Aren't you going to escort her home?" Gary asked as he raised his greying brows at him, watching his nephew frown slightly before meeting his eyes."She probably left a while back." He shrugs his shoulders and leans back into the couch. "I'll just find my jacket hanging by the door or on the floor when I go pick it up after.""That m
"So, what's the task about?" Lilith sighed as she closed the menu once they were done ordering their food. "Is it about the new recruits?""Um..." Hades cleared his throat as he leaned back to his seat and glanced around himself, watching a few couples here and there and some business meetings here and there. It wasn't too fancy but enough to keep away from noisy children and loud music since Lilith assumed it was for business.Little did she know."Well... Yes." Hades nods just so Lilith wouldn't get up the moment he says his Uncle lied. "It's about them. He was asking if you could pick ten from them, who would they be and the reasons why." Hades cleverly said as he nodded to his own words.Lilith pouts her lips for a moment, stuck in thought as she glances up at the ceiling, thinking carefully who it could be."There are in fact a few I know are the best. There's Jane Millet, Frank Woods, Christen Parker, Gwen Holland, Vincent Jacobs, Lorain Lamber, Troy Williams, Dexter Harbor and
