Chapter Twenty-Two

"Hello you must be Alex, I have heard so much about you" Cass said politely

Cass walked toward Mr Gabe "Good day sir, sorry for coming in late"

Mr. Gabe smiled "It's not a problem, Your beautiful face is worth it"

Nova turned sharply at the compliment Mr. Gabe gave Cass, he had never complimented her he mostly ignored her presence. She tripped and fell forward towards Marcus who grabbed her and immediately spun her towards Alex who huffed as he hurriedly grabbed her.

Marcus left a disgruntled Alex and walked towards his father "Hello Dad" He said placing his hands on Cass's waist to her surprise.

Mr Gabe, who had been watching his family's theatrics smiled "Let's have dinner, shall we?"

Marcus pulled Cass's chair out and she smiled as she saw Nova stare at her husband to pull hers out too but he didn't notice, finally, Nova seats and dinner commences.

The doors open and the chef comes in with a server pushing in a trolley of meals and another bringing in the wine.
