I sat up in my chair and wondered if he was about to announce their divorce. I couldn’t say that it would come as a surprise to me but I wondered how Laide would cope. I took in a deep breath and slowly released it.
“I’ve been diagnosed with Hepatitis, it is a liver infection.”
