Kidnapped

On top of the bed were some men's clothes, causing Anastasia to shake her head as she walked to the cloakroom and pulled open the closet.

Beautiful dresses forming myriads of colors appear, they were all short and some of them were so transparent that it hurt the eyes.

Anastasia's hand went to the nook of the closet and she brought out a real human mask with an ordinary face, then she rummaged through the closet and soon found what she was looking for, it was an ordinary dress, most especially, it was the attire worn by the female servants.

She heaved a sigh of relief before keeping them under her dress and walked out after arranging everything according to the way she met it.

She was very close with Michelle and has witnessed the latter using countless facades to leave the pack.

Most of the time, they weren't allowed to go out but using the mask of a servant and even wearing their uniform and claiming that she was going out to fetch some fruits, Michelle was able to leave without being found out.

In fact, some of the guards even recognize this identity already.

Now, all she had to do was to escape!

In no time, the day of the banquet came knocking.

As the princess, it was a must for Anastasia to be present in a gathering like this.

After her father finishes addressing everyone, she makes sure that he sees her before she turns around and looks for anyone carrying a drink, and soon, her eyes locked on one.

Since everyone had started to dance, not many noticed her, and does that didn't bother her as they wouldn't get what they wanted from her.

Anastasia walked through the crowd and when she reached beside her target, she 'accidentally' knocked on her, causing the red wine to splash onto her white evening gown.

The person went into a daze and the moment she saw it was her, she hurriedly bowed anxiously but Anastasia stopped her and smiled magnanimously, saying that there is no need to attract attention to such simple matters.

The person became guiltier as she watched Anastasia's back which was disappearing through the crowds.

"I hope you won't blame me for using you when everybody finds out about my absence," Anastasia muttered under her breath, excitement rushing down her bones at the thought of her next steps.

As soon as she reached her bedroom, she took out the dress from before and put it on, thankfully, her servants were also enjoying themselves at the party and didn't have time to follow her.

She wore the dress and the mask before shifting her eyes to another color, which was brown.

The same goes for her hair too as it rapidly turns brown, after that, she takes out the box and takes all the money in it.

Then she walked out to the kitchen and went to fetch herself a basket before walking to the gate.

Only two guards were guarding the large iron-white gate, and they chatted idly about the banquet.

Anastasia's heart was thumping loudly in her chest, even her palms were so sweaty as she took in a deep breath and walked to the gate.

Flashing the guards a smile, she was about to open the gate when one of the guards called out.

"Hey, you!"

Anastasia's back stiffened as she turned around and met the guard's face.

Was she caught?

The guard gave her a toothy grin and asked. "Is the princess at the banquet?"

"Uh?" Anastasia took in a deep breath, relief washing over her that she wasn't caught, however, she didn't know how to answer this question.

The second guard patted the shoulder of the first one, saying. "She might not know, can't you see that she works in the kitchen? Omega who works in the kitchen didn't have the chance to go to the banquet."

The first guard nodded and waved at her disinterestedly and Anastasia smiled before walking out, but she could still hear the guard's voice.

"You really like the princess, don't you?"

"Y-You, stop spouting nonsense."

"No need to feel ashamed, almost every mateless man here admires her and wishes their mate was her."

"Uhm, the princess is like a fairy from heaven after all."

Anastasia can't help but roll her eyes.

"A fairy?"

Such a beautiful vocabulary to complement her.

And she has so many admirers but she didn't know.

She only hoped that her father wouldn't request for their head if he found out that she escaped through the gate.

Not wasting any time, she took in a deep breath and started running straight ahead, after she couldn't see the giant mansion of her pack anymore, she took off the mask and threw it away due to the discomfort and then she shifted into her wolf form and started running even faster.

The winds howled against her ears and blew on her fur as she ran through the woods, the only noise accompanying her was the sound of the leaves under her foot. After running for almost two hours, her paws started to hurt, but knowing time was of essence, she didn't dare to stop.

It was only after about another hour that she felt immensely tired that she decided to rest on the small rock nearby.

It was night already but she could still see clearly.

Anastasia shifted back to her human form and wobbly sat on the rock, heaving loudly as she rested her back against the smooth surface, her hands under her head and her eyes gazing past the tall trees to the distant sky as a smile found its way to her lips.

"Now, I am free." She whispered, resisting the urge to scream out loud about her newfound freedom.

"You know this is not a good idea." She finally heard her wolf's voice, Anne in her mind.

Anne has been saying this over and over since she was planning her escape.

"Good idea or not, as long as they never find me," Anastasia said, closing her eyes.

"We are not safe out here, Anna," Anne whispered.

"Not safe?" Anastasia giggles. "Don't underestimate this princess, Anne, I am powerful more than you think." Anastasia sat up, her gaze landed on the tall fruit tree and she briskly climb it up before plucking out some dry dates and jumping down again.

"Still... I suggest we go back." There was pleading in Anne's voice, causing Anastasia to roll her eyes.

"Anne, I don't know if you understand or not, but I. AM. NOT. GOING. BACK," Anastasia resists the urge to yell.

"See..." Anne was about to say something when her tone suddenly changed.

"I can smell some scents..." She whispered vigilantly. "And they are not the from the pack."

Taking a bite of the date in her hand, Anastasia licked the juice on her lips and shook her head. "No worries, they can't do anything to us."

"Anastasia!" Anne was frustrated.

The smell was getting nearer, but Anastasia didn't stand up, and soon, three pairs of green eyes set on Anastasia.

Anastasia blinked as she looked at the three werewolves.

And before she could react, one of them charged at her. No need to tell her, she knew she looked extremely comical at this moment.

She was sitting with wide eyes, fruit in her hand, mouth agape ready to bite.

The werewolf pounced on her, and in the moment of heavy struggle, they rolled down the rock and landed on the ground, Anastasia tried to get the wolf off her, and when she finally did, she hurriedly shifted back to her wolf form.

She was waiting for the man to pounce on her again, but this time around, he didn't do anything but just stare at her before exchanging glances with the other three men.

Anastasia heaved a sigh of relief, thinking that the men got scared of her and wanted to run away, after all, she was bigger than any ordinary werewolf in her wolf form.

However, against Anastasia's thought, the werewolves transformed back to their human form, and Anastasia couldn't help but cringe slightly.

They were too ugly, even the guards she saw at the gate earlier were more handsome than them.

"She is a white wolf!" The first man exclaimed, excitement flashing past his eyes, and this caused Anastasia to sigh.

Now, it is about this fur again.

The three men were still excited, as they discussed between themselves.

"We will definitely make a bucket of gold from selling her!" The second man said delightedly.

"I heard that there is going to be an auction in Timber Pack tomorrow, if we managed to get her there in time, I believe we would earn huge money from that, you know what? Many Alphas were going to be there for the auction!"

Anastasia gazed at them totally dumbfounded, she even felt that she had misheard, these rogues were talking about how to sell her, and that's in her presence, are they really this confident?

However, they soon proved themselves to her.

They surrounded her and she didn't have any escape, the three pounced on her at the same time, and they hadn't even exchanged a single blow before she was caught.

She struggled heavily as one of them secured her in his arm.

"Bastard! Let me go!" She yelled.

But she never for once revealed that she was a princess.

"What a stubborn wolf." The man muttered, striking her acupoint and before she knew it, she was pushed to darkness.
