Andre's POV

I stood in the same spot we once stood some days back. The lights from the town shone brightly, illuminating the empty streets. All doors were unlocked as everyone in the town was trustworthy. We hadn't had a case of theft in decades and we continued to live peacefully. There were hardly ever tourists let alone movers which made Catalina's move here the talk of the town and her harsh personality was the cherry on top.

Speaking of the devil, she walked up to me, her green truck just a walking distance from us. There was something different this time around and it was easy to spot. A huge smile sat on her lips, it was so different from what I was used to. The few times I saw her this happy, she wore a light smile but this was a full-blown grin.

"Hey." She touched my arm lightly, the smile still sat there like a sun on a sunny day. It turned my insides into bubbles.

"What's with the grin? You look happy." I pointed out, returning her smile with the same enthusiasm.
