I had heard from Cole what had happened down at the hospital and made my way there just after Renna had left. I wanted to be there for her, but things between us weren’t good. I had overreacted the other night and now I haven’t really seen her since then; we are just two ships passing in the night.

A frustrated sigh escaped from my lips. The night I left, I had no intention of meeting up with anyone. While driving through the pack, I made a spontaneous decision to stop at one of the bars. As luck would have it, Sage happened to be there. I didn’t plan on seeing her, but she has always been a good friend to me and I didn’t think anything of it.

Now though, so much time has gone on and if I tell Ren now, she will see it as I left her to go see Sage when that is not the case and if I don’t tell her, she will see it as a betrayal. A lie that I’m keeping from her. Either way, I can’t win and no matter what I say, it will hurt her.
