With my lack of sleep from the previous night, her taste lingered on my tongue, and truthfully, it infuriated me. The fact that no woman had ever said no to me only fuelled my determination not to let her have the upper hand. She may have won that round last night, but tonight is a different story.

I had left before the sun came up, the sky still a canvas of muted colours, calling for an emergency elders meeting. You can imagine how thrilled they are, but Ren was right about one thing - someone had brutally taken the life of her beloved grandma. If I wanted to bring justice, I needed to take immediate action.

Since they were both part of the pack, this event occurred after she became Luna, signifying that I had the right to request such extreme actions. I had reached my breaking point with this nonsense involving the council.

Cole walked into the room, carefully balancing two mugs as he placed a steaming cup of coffee on my desk, then took his seat across from me. “Did you find
