The People Who Adopted Her

The student just nodded as Luke remained staring at Chel. "She can't leave. She stole some books," Chel added but it seems like Luke hadn't heard anything.

"Anne," Luke said while staring into Chel's eyes. Chel frowned because of what he said "Her name is Apple," Luke clarified. They stared at each other for a few seconds before Chel averted her eyes and returned to her seat. She picked up the book lying on the table and moved to the next page "You can leave," she said.

"Her mom died five years ago," Chel was stunned by what Luke said. Luke just closed his eyes and sighed. Chel looked at Demon.

"I'll listen," she said.

They are now both already sitting on the couch. The two of them are far apart. Chel is at the very end of the couch while Luke is in the middle of it. Anne on the other hand has continued to clean because she has very little to clean, while Dan has also continued to be the cashier. The bookstore will close soon because it's already seven
