CHAPTER 17

Aaron’s POV.

I was in my office, lost in my thoughts, when a knock sounded on my door.

“Who’s there?” I asked in my baritone voice, but it was one of my boys that answered me.

My most trusted boys weren’t around that day, so it was a messenger that came to deliver the news.

“Come in,” I simply said, and he opened the door slowly, walking into the office like a robot.

I glanced at him the moment he stepped his feet into the office with furrowed brows.

“What happened?” I asked, and he simply shrugged.

“Master, I have news to break, but I just don’t know how you’ll feel,” He said, and I creased my brows in utter confusion.

“Go straight to the point, what’s the matter?” I asked, obviously confused.

“Master, the spy was captured,” He said, and a small smile crept on my face.

“Seriously?” I asked, and he bowed his head.

“You can go, I need some time alone,” I said, and he quickly excused me.
