AESPIA POV

If not that he had mentioned the ceremony to me last night, I would not have found out about it.

I was woken up, anger filled my heart but there was nothing I could do about it.

" You are to get dressed for the event" a maid said.

She was already in my room with different kinds of dresses.

The anger in me vanished as I saw how pretty they looked, it was so beautiful.

" Are all of these for me?"

" Yes,they are. The Alpha already paid for them"

My hands went to the jewelry that was there.

My face lit up into a smile.

" You should get dressed, the people are already waiting," she said.

People?

" What ceremony is this? And what is it about?" I asked her.

" This is to welcome you as the Luna and to show you to the rest of the people, he has never done this to the others that were here before you" she said.

I stayed quiet. The others that were here before me?

" How many were here before me?" I asked her.

" I lost count"

It can't be, she just does not want to let me know about it.

" Okay then, let me get dressed," I said.

I got up and went to the bathroom to have my bath.

When I looked at the maids again, it was not Cara's maid, I suspected it from the way she spoke to me.

I finished with the bathroom and she had me dressed up. I wanted to do that myself but she turned it down and said she was going to be punished.

It did not make sense to me, we were the only ones in the room, who is ever going to spill to anyone?

I let her do her thing.

We were ready to leave the room.

" You look good," she said.

" Thank you"

I wish the Alpha could say that to me.

I stepped out of the room and went to the big hall, where the ceremony was being held.

I walked in and sat down, close to the Alpha.

Cara was seated next to me.

" You are late and you kept us waiting" she whispered into my ears.

" You should have told me about this, isn't that your responsibility? The only thing you are good at is giving me a sword to kill someone, that's what you do for a new Luna" I fired back at her.

" You look so beautiful" Alpha Xyren bent over to me and said.

I smiled, I waited for this but Cara was only being a nuisance close to me, I'm glad he finally said those words. My cheeks heated up.

" Thank you"

The ceremony was said to be for me. There were lots of displays that were shown to everyone.

I looked at their faces, they seemed not so happy and not sad as well.

The last time I was in front of everyone in a Pack like this, I was humiliated and stripped off my clothes right in front of everyone by Enzo.

Fear gripped my heart as Alpha Xyren stood up. I was scared that he was going to say something or do something to me.

The incident from that day continued to play in my head, I was scared, I was not expecting anything good from this ceremony.

" Thank you all for coming here. I want you to know that this ceremony is for my Luna, she is going to stay and remain here" he said.

He said the last part like he was making a wish and I do not know what that was about.

" She is going to remain here, I want maximum respect for her, anyone who dares disobey me will be punished. She is to be obeyed and respected" he said.

I swallowed, no one has ever put so much importance on me like he just did.

It made me see it like a price I am to pay, maybe he was not doing this for free, maybe it is for a personal reason.

A lot of thoughts were in my head even after I got to my bedroom. I thought so hard about it.

I remembered the early times that Enzo made me feel important and then he switched up like he was given a wolfsbane.

I regretted ever trusting him so much, he hurt me repeatedly till he could no longer do it and decided to sell me out,like the slave I was.

A knock came to my door,I had locked it because I did not want anyone talking to me or coming into my bedroom.

" Who is it?" I stood by the door and asked.

" You should open up" It was Cara's voice.

I opened the door and stood at the entrance, blocking her from coming in.

" What are you doing? Get out of the way" she tried to push me.

" Why should I? This is not even your room and you think you have so much authority over it!"

" What I wish to say to you will save you and you will thank me for it"

" You can bloody say it right here, go on"I said.

She signed in frustration, she can not fool me.

" Fine" she held her hands in a fist.

" Go on" I reminded her.

" I want you to know that you are doing evil to yourself by being so comfortable around here, you can not stay here like the way the Alpha had said"

" So you are trying to say that the Alpha is lying right?" I looked at her.

" That's all you got from what I just said? You can't be serious" her eyes widened in shock.

" Yes, that was all I got from it, is there anything you would like to say to me?" I was still blocking the way.

" Nothing else, I thought you were smart enough to take my advice, but it is so pointless talking to you about it," she said.

I nodded my head, all her conversations were pointless by the way.
