DESDEMONA

The door creaked open, slow and heavy, the footsteps approached me through the darkness.

It was him.

The man from the southern yard.

What is he doing here?

My breath hitched, my lips parted, but no words came out. My throat burned dry. I coughed softly, clutching my chest.

“Are you okay?” his voice broke the silence.

He came closer, bending down until his face was only inches from mine. His scent, warm, masculine wrapped around me. Without saying another word, he lifted me gently, his arms sliding under me as if I weighed nothing.

His body was warm. Mine was ice. The moment his skin brushed mine, a shiver ran through me, and the pain seemed to fade away for a second.

He held me in a bridal way, strong yet careful. My hand found his neck on its own, holding tight, refusing to let go.

I buried my face in his chest, hiding the tears that wouldn’t stop falling. The world outside blurred, voices mixing into whispers I couldn’t understand. All I wanted… was to be saved.

DesdemonaHis gaze burned under my skin, his gaze rested on my boobs, quickly using my hand to cover it, but he grabbed it almost immediately.I inched back slowly and turned back, the man was gone, my chest loosened up. But he disappeared quickly. He was here just now. Can he still be around the corner watching?Alpha Alaric grabbed my chin, shifting my gaze back to him, he touched one of my boobs and I froze, my leg shaking.“Why are you dripping in the water, are you doing this to seduce me?” He asked as he pulled in whispering under my skin.“N…..o,” the word cut under my throat as he pitched my hardened nipple. “Ugh……oh……..” I froze as a loud moaning escaped my lip.He pushed me to the wall, my back hitting it softly, my hands pinned above my head. The space between us vanished in a heartbeat. His breath brushed against my cheek, warm, heavy, and desperate, before I could even breathe, his mouth caught mine.It wasn’t gentle. It was wild, heated, a mix of anger and hunger tangled

DESDEMONA “Mona” she tapped me softly. I groaned rolling on the bed. I robbed my eyes running my hands through my hair, I opened my eyes slowly, Daine small eyes popped out, she pouted and stared at me.I smiled and carried her cheek. “Good morning,” I quickly got up from the bed remembering the task given to me by Alpha Alaric.“Mona, wait for me!” Daine yelled running after me.“Don't follow me, stay here,” I said before running off.The Southern yard was dead silent; it was almost like nobody stayed here. I peeped around every corner, just to be sure I was alone. The air felt heavy, thick with dust and the faint scent of old wood. Dry leaves scattered across the ground, brushing against my bare feet. The walls were cracked. Even the wind refused to move; it was the kind of silence that made your skin crawl.Realizing that I am alone, my face lit up, the corner of my lip moved into a bright smile, I walked round the stream, the cold breeze brushed over my skin making me shiver,

ALARIC I sat in my office, my hands clasped tightly together, staring at the floor. The cold air breeze across the room, sharp enough to sting the lungs.. I could still see her face, the dirt on her skin, the blood on her arm, the way her eyes trembled when I carried her in.She had begged me not to punish the girl. That voice still echoed.Soft, breaking, and scared, as if I will pill off her skin if she speaks out of words.I hated that I remembered it. I hate that she is scared of me. Did she despise me that much? The door opened. Beta Theodore stepped in, his boots tapping against the marble floor. “Alpha, you sent it to me?”I nodded once, keeping my eyes on the window. “Find out who those rogues were,” I said, my voice cold, almost hollow. “Every single one of them. I want their heads before the moon changes.”“Yes, Alpha,” he replied.“And the girl that came with her—” I paused, forcing the word out, “find out where she’s from and who sent her.”Theodore bowed slightly. “Right

DESDEMONAMy eyes opened slowly. My eyelids were heavy, the light hurt a little. For a moment, I didn’t know where I was. Then I saw him.Alpha Alaric sat in the chair beside my bed. His eyes were calm, cold maybe, I couldn’t read him. He looked almost peaceful, too peaceful for what had just happened. I blinked again, my lips parted.“Alpha…” my voice came out weak and cracked, barely a whisper. “You saved me.”He didn’t say anything, just stared at the wall as if he wasn’t even in the room with me.I swallowed hard, my throat dry. “The girl… the one I tried to help, where is she?”He looked at me finally, his gaze sharp enough to make my chest tighten. “She’s being taken care of,” he said, his tone flat, calm, too calm. “Don’t worry about her. You should focus on yourself.”He pinned his lip together. “I will send her away after she recovers.”I sat up slowly, my body still sore from everything that happened. “Please,” I whispered, “let her stay here. She has no one, I can tell. I’l

DESDEMONA“Stop!!” The voice was so deep almost leaving me frozen.I touched the aim of my dress, staring at Alpha Alaric as he walked towards me, his steps were fast, and before I knew it he just grabbed my hand and pulled me to his side without a word.“How dare you touch her?” His voice echoes through the room, making me shiver in fear. He looked down on me, his hand resting on my waist pulling me closer to his chest. “And why did you let everyone push you around?”I pressed my lip together, blinking, my gaze lowered, my body trembling. He stared at me for a while. His gaze traded to the corner of the room and finally stopped at princess Ivy. “And what are you trying to do?”Princess Ivy takes a few steps forward. “I am trying to protect, why can't you see how dangerous she is to you?”Alpha Alaric looked away, taking a few steps away from her. “You are returning tomorrow, I don't need you meddling in my business, I can take care of myself, and I also know what's good for me.”“The
