Andrew's POV

I couldn't breathe.

Not because the room was stuffy. Not because anyone was shouting. In fact, it was too quiet. The kind of silence that squeezes your chest.

I stood there, in the center of my office, with the weight of everything pressing down on me—Elara gone, my mate stolen like she meant nothing.

But she meant everything.

“I’m going after her,” I said, my voice low, rough, almost unrecognizable to my own ears.

Michael, who had been pacing near the window, stopped dead in his tracks. He turned to me, eyes narrowing. “You sure you want to do that now?”

“Of course he is,” Lora cut in before I could answer. Her arms were folded, her jaw tight. “Look at him. He’s not gonna sit still while she’s out there.”

“I’m not asking for permission.” I looked each of them in the eye. “I’m telling you. Elara’s out there somewhere, and I’m bringing her back.”

Greg, who had been leaning against the wall like he always did when he was thinking, pushed off it and came to stand beside me.

  • The Cursed Luna And Her Ruthless Alpha   Chapter 228

Elara’s POVMy breath caught like a hook had caught in my throat. Dorian’s voice echoed again, smooth but deadly. And it was closer this time.“Elara.”Just my name, but it sounded more like a command.I stepped back instinctively, eyes darting to the narrow tunnel my mother had opened behind the wall. My fingers curled around the edge of the stone, heart pounding so hard I thought it might shake loose from my chest. There was no time.“What do I do?” I asked, whisper-urgent, panic rising fast and hot. “What if I can't hold it? What if the Shard—what if it changes me?”Her eyes met mine. Steady and unshaken. She didn’t even blink.“Then you fight it,” she said. “You don’t let it speak for you. Don’t let it twist your wants into its needs. Because it will try.”My lips parted. “But what if I’m not strong enough?”She stepped closer, putting both hands on my face this time. Her thumbs brushed my temples, grounding me. I couldn’t breathe. The room felt too small.“You are,” she said. “Yo

  • The Cursed Luna And Her Ruthless Alpha   Chapter 227

Elara's POVPain hit first.A sharp, biting pain in my skull, like fire behind my eyes. My ears rang, and the world spun sideways as I fought through the fog.I blinked.Darkness again. But this time, I wasn’t in my cell. The floor beneath me wasn’t stone. It was soft. Cushioned.I reached out blindly. My fingers brushed velvet.“Where—”“Don’t speak.”The voice cut clean through my haze. Familiar. Female. Low, but not cruel.I jerked upright, head pounding, and looked around. The room was dim, lit by a single crystal embedded in the ceiling, glowing a muted blue. It wasn’t the dungeons. No chains. No guards.I turned—and there she was.The woman from the vent.My mother. She stood by the far wall, arms crossed, her hair longer now, streaked with gray, but still the same. Her eyes just like mine watched me like I might disappear.“I thought I lost you again,” she said softly.I stared at her, my voice caught somewhere between a scream and a sob.“This isn’t real.”“It is.”“No. You di

  • The Cursed Luna And Her Ruthless Alpha   Chapter 226

Elara's POVThe door slammed shut behind Dorian with a deep finality that echoed down the stone corridor. The silence that followed wasn’t peaceful—it was thick and suffocating, pressing in on me like the walls themselves were waiting to swallow me whole.I let out a shaky breath and leaned back against the cold stone. My arms ached, my wrists raw from the chains. My throat was tight from holding back the scream clawing at my chest.I stared at the far wall, but I wasn’t really seeing it. Dorian’s words swam in my head, louder than the silence. He used them. Mara. Rhea. The trial. All of it.Fates, I’d been such a fool.I curled my fingers into fists and bit the inside of my cheek, forcing the rising panic down. I couldn’t fall apart. Not now. Not here. The Owlshard had reacted to me. It wanted something. Or maybe it remembered me from before. But what if it remembered too much?I shut my eyes and tried to still my mind, but something moved. Not in the room—not exactly. A faint sound

  • The Cursed Luna And Her Ruthless Alpha   Chapter 225

Elara's POVI didn’t say anything as Dorian stood over me, his hands behind his back like he was admiring his own reflection. The Owlshard pulsed behind him—low, steady, like it could hear my heartbeat and was matching it.“You feel it, don’t you?” he asked. “It hums for you.”I clenched my fists tighter, the cuffs biting into my skin. “What do you want from me, Dorian?”He smirked and stepped closer. “To tell you the truth. I’ve been waiting for the right moment.”He paused, as if savoring the air. “You know… there’s something beautiful about revenge that plays out slow. It’s like watching a flower bloom. Or watching someone like you finally realize how much of your life has been nothing but a carefully played game.”I stared up at him. “You think you’ve won?”“I already have.” He crouched in front of me, just out of reach. “You remember your first trial, don’t you? The accusation, the whispers, the council looking down their noses like you were already guilty?”I blinked, the memory

  • The Cursed Luna And Her Ruthless Alpha   Chapter 224

Elara's POVPain throbbed at the back of my skull as I blinked through the haze, the cold stone beneath me biting into my skin. My wrists burned—tight metal cuffs secured them behind my back. I tried moving, but my limbs felt heavy, like they’d been weighed down with lead. Breathing was shallow, stale. The air tasted like mildew and rot.I wasn’t in the forest anymore. For a moment, I was confused by my environment as I was in the woods one moment, then the next…Dorian. This was Dorian’s stronghold. The last time I was here, he almost killed me. What does he want with me again.A dim light flickered above me, casting long, shifting shadows against the damp stone walls. Chains rattled softly in the silence. My heart thudded once, then again, faster."You're awake."The voice crawled over my skin like ice. No, no, no. I'm stuck with this psychopath again.I looked up.And it was none other person than Dorian. He stepped into the light, arms folded behind his back, a cruel smile dancin

  • The Cursed Luna And Her Ruthless Alpha   Chapter 223

Elara’s POVThe gate slammed shut behind me with a thud that echoed straight through my chest. I stood still for a moment, like maybe the weight of everything would hit me slower if I just didn’t move. But it didn’t. It hit hard, fast, and cold—just like the way the council had looked at me when they ordered my banishment. The wind tugged at the edges of my cloak as if trying to pull me back inside, but I didn’t turn around. I couldn’t. If I looked back, I’d fall apart. And right now, falling apart would be a luxury I couldn’t afford. My fingers curled into fists as I stepped forward.“Elara!”I turned too quickly at the sound of Andrew’s voice. His boots kicked up dirt as he ran toward me from the side path behind the training fields. I didn’t want to see the desperation on his face, but I did. I saw it—and worse, I felt it.“Please,” he said, out of breath. “Don’t leave.”I swallowed hard. “I’ve already been banished, Andrew. It’s not like I’m going out for a stroll.”“I know,” he

  • The Cursed Luna And Her Ruthless Alpha   Chapter 222

Elara's POVI stood there, my hands clenched at my sides, the ache in my chest deepening as every second ticked by in silence. The silence wasn’t just around me—it was in them too. Andrew. Michael. Lora. Even Greg, who normally couldn’t hold back a word if his life depended on it. They were frozen, their gazes darting between me and the council. And Rhea.Rhea, who stood with her arms folded and a smugness so thick it made my stomach turn. Mara, standing just behind her like a guard, like she belonged here. As if she hadn’t betrayed us all.“For the good of the pack,” Elder Tobias said slowly, as if the words physically pained him. His voice cracked with the weight of it. “We must consider what is best. Not for one. Not even for the Alpha. But for all.”“This isn’t what’s best,” Andrew growled beside me. I could feel the heat from his body, the way his fists trembled. “You know damn well she didn’t betray anyone.”Tobias didn’t meet his eyes.“Your judgement is compromised,” Rhea spok

  • The Cursed Luna And Her Ruthless Alpha   Chapter 221

Andrew's POVThe crowd didn’t move. Not a breath. Not a whisper. “That’s right, she betrayed us and can't be trusted.” Rhea agreed.I didn't say anything. Everyone was quiet just the echo of Rhea’s words hanging in the air like a poisoned dart.“Elara betrayed us,” she’d said. And the way her voice carried over the gathered wolves made me want to rip the truth from her throat myself.Elara didn’t move. She stood there, still and composed, but I could see the flicker in her eyes. The tightening of her jaw. She was holding back. Not fear—Elara wasn’t made for that. She was holding in her rage.“This is madness,” I said, stepping forward. “She fought beside us. She bled for this pack. For you.”Michael cut through the front of the crowd, his eyes burning. “We all saw it. She’s not the enemy.”Lora wasn’t far behind him. “Rhea and Mara were locked away for a reason. And now they stroll in with a crowd behind them and you’re just going to take their word over Elara’s?”The murmurs started
