Chapter 1

♣️♣️♣️♣️♣️♣️

GABRIELLE's pov.

"Casino, Gabrielle?!" Yelled my mother, storming agitatedly down the stairs.

Consequently, I took three steps backward as I asked “Why do you have to go through my stuff, mother?" Gazing at her as she was now angrily standing in front of me.

She never knew I was a stripper, she never knew that I play a casino, and to be frank; I own one of the biggest Casino clubs in Italy. I have a lot under my wing, but I hid everything in between my fingers.

"I had only wanted to drop the medical kits in your room when I saw these casino cards on your bed!" My mother furiously explained.

Oh, it's my fault then!

Suddenly, she scrunched her nose in revulsion and I inwardly knew she had caught my blemish "You smoked?" She utters in disgust but she doesn't seem to be surprised.

Hmm, that's weird. I guess she already knew for a long time now but was determined to keep silent about it. Woah, I'm now curious to know how many things she learned about me then.

I'm screwed!

I gave my mother no reply as I leaned forward to her, snatching the casino cards from her, and I sighed deeply.

"I won't have you go through my stuff again," I simply warned, and her eyes enlarged in disbelief.

I knew she wasn't expecting me to talk back at her like that, but I had no choice since I wanted to get out of this awkward and disconcerting argument.

I already had enough to face on my plate.

Walking past her, my mother abruptly pulled me back, causing the both of us to stand again in front of each other.

The atmosphere around us was getting more intense.

My mother sniffed in bitterly as she said "You are just like your father! You game as he does, you smoke as he does, you party and drink to a stupor as he does, why can't you just emulate me for once, huh?" She cried, ranting her vexation on me.

Her blue eyes which are equivalent to mine were now red and dark. So, she knows I drink? Hmm, I guess she must have caught me one or two times when I had unknowingly conked out in my room.

I scoffed "And who are you to lecture me, Vanessa?" I called out her name, and she complained the more.

"I am your mother!" She barked, clenching her chest in misery.

To clear up this whole confusing display, I and my mother ain't on good terms —grab that!

"Have you suddenly forgotten we ain't on good terms?" I asked, I was expecting an answer but she was tight-lipped.

"...well then, I choose to be like my father since he was the sole one who has been there by my side until the very last day he died. But you mom, you fucking left our lives for your fun and you neglected me when I needed you the most!" I snarled, now fisting my hands on the casino cards in my palm.

My mum recoiled immediately while listening to me as I pour out my aggressive utterances, and for the first time —I saw the guilt and stigma in her eyes.

Without further ado, I swerved around and dashed toward the stairs.

Rushing into my room, I shut the door and rested my back against the door. I willingly let my butt slide to the floor as my emotions were heavily bottling up in me.

"I hate this world," the words spewed miserably from my lips as I tearfully placed my forehead on my knees.

>>><<<

It was suspiciously nighttime, I could tell since my whole room was incredibly dark and I could barely see through the dark except my wide open window.

Letting out a groan, I struggled to stand on my feet before weakly staggering to the walls. My hands caressed the hard concrete until I finally discovered the switch, and I turned on the lights.

My eyes anxiously glimpse at the wall large clock and it was "6:50" PM. Shit!

I have to quickly take my bath and get properly decked out. I have a show to display at the clubhouse tonight, and I know a lot of people would be waiting for me.

Ugh, I forgot to say that I normally put on a golden mask whenever I wanna perform so that no one can discern my actual face.

No doubt, I'm highly desired and hungered by every man who came across my path and that was why Regina loathed me —But note, I don't do dicks at all.

Hurriedly pulling off my clothes, I paced to my bed. I snatch up my phone, scrolled through my call logs and I saw a lot of missed calls from Mr. Cameron, the executive of the clubhouse. Plus, I also saw numerous missed calls from Cassandra too.

In a twinkle of an eye, I vanished to the bathroom. I had my warm bath which didn't take me seven minutes, and I step out before scurrying off to the closet.

Jiggling my body into a black lacy gown that barely covered my thighs, it elicited my enormous butts to shake dangerously.

I scurried to the dressing mirror, packing my red long hair in a neat ponytail while I stared at the mirror. I also glazed my lips in red lipgloss, spraying some sweet perfumes later on.

Then, I grabbed my black purse from the table, strode to the bed, and crouched my butt as I cruise to slip on my black heels.

I was super ready!

I picked up my phone again which was beside me, my face was barren, and my presence screams of classiness as I left the cozy comfort of my room.

"And where is the queen of the night going to?" I heard my mother's voice, she was watching the fashion show on the TV.

"I'm going to see my friend, Cassandra. Got a problem with that?" I retorted, sparing her not a glance while cat-walking bitchily towards the door.

Opening the doorknob, I smelled my mother standing up from the sofa as she said "Be safe out there!"

I was voiceless, I must admit that I did sense the evidence of worry in her voice.

“I will for sure, mother." Then, I left the house.

Luckily, I saw a taxi and I flapped my hand at it, and the taxi driver halted a few seconds later beside me.

"J@K Clubhouse!"

The night is still fresh and the city was bustling, the taxi driver too was riding nicely along the highway.

I don't know if I'm just exaggerating but I have countless times, caught the driver's eyes peeking at me suspiciously through the rear window.

"You got a problem, sir?" I politely asked him when he glance at me again.

However, the taxi driver gave me no response.

"Hey!" I was already panicking, my hands were now slamming on the headrest of the driver's seat.

Without replying to me, he took another direction which was entirely a different route to the clubhouse.

"Hey! Stop this vehicle!" I stringently shouted, wishing he'd cut the crap and tell me he was trying to lay a prank on me.

But instead, the taxi driver increased his acceleration.

"You!" I snapped, and I stopped slamming my fists on the headrest of the driver’s seat.

I was heavily breathing, my whole body flooded in anxiety laced with fears as a quick idea voyaged into my mind.

"Bitch!" The driver squeaked in pain, I was now cruelly pulling his hair. "Stop, we might get into an accident!" He roars warningly, but I didn't take a pause.

The taxi has gone berserk, and the tires and steering went out of control as it speedily rode zigzag on the streets.

"You mess with the wrong person, Mr!" I grit at him, and fortunately for me, the car came to a halt in the middle of the road and the tires screamed.

I quickly grab my purse from the passenger seat, pushing the car door wide open and I broke out like a bat flying out of hell.

"Hey! Stop!" I heard the driver shout warningly at me, unlocking his door and he whisked directly after me.

Running along the gloaming streets, beams of lights shone from each building and eateries too as I peek behind my back.

Oh no!

Not only was the driver hunting after me, but they have become numerous and I lost count of the men as they chased after me.

Snapping my head ahead and fleeing for my dear life, my whole body ran cold as I hysterically cries.

"Somebody!! Please help me!!!"
