Juniper

Getting down finally with me following suit behind him I gasped in disbelief as we both walked towards his front door as I watched him ring a bell.

I looked around the front porch of the building noticing a nice water fountain and a large chandelier which was hung on the ceiling right above our heads.

“Welcome home young master Grayson” .

A middle aged man greeted with a curt nod. He had white hair and his face was cleanly shaved. He wore a pressed black suit with shiny black shoe

The Things I Can’t Say Grayson’s POV “I don’t know what I feel anymore.”The words should have stopped me.They should have been enough to make me step back, to put distance between us, to do the right thing for once. But they didn’t.They did the opposite.Because at least it was honest. And right now, honesty felt more dangerous than any lie.My hand tightened slightly around her wrist, not enough to hurt—just enough to keep her there. To make sure she didn’t disappear on me again.“Then feel this,” I murmured. And this time—I didn’t stop.I closed the distance completely. Her breath hitched just before my lips met hers, like she had one last second to pull away. She didn’t.The kiss wasn’t soft.It wasn’t careful. It was everything we hadn’t said, everything we’d been holding back, everything that had been building for weeks finally crashing into one moment.Frustration.Jealousy.Hurt.Want.My other hand came up instinctively, brushing against her jaw, tilting her face just sl

The Things I Can’t Say (Grayson’s POV)I shouldn’t have walked away. That’s all I could think about. The moment replayed in my head on a loop—Juniper’s face, the way her eyes searched mine like she was waiting… begging me to understand something I refused to see.And instead?I shut her out.My fist slammed against the wall beside my bed, the sharp sting barely cutting through the frustration clawing under my skin.“Idiot,” I muttered to myself.A knock sounded at my door.I froze. For a second, I considered ignoring it. Letting whoever it was go away so I could drown in my own thoughts in peace. But something in my chest tightened.I knew.“Grayson.”Her voice.Soft. Unsteady.Juniper.Every part of me went still.I crossed the room before I could change my mind and yanked the door open. And there she was.God.Her eyes were red, her lips slightly parted like she’d been rehearsing what to say but forgot the moment she saw me. She looked… fragile. And it pissed me off.Not at her.At

Juniper The walk home felt longer than usual.Or maybe it was just me—dragging my feet, my thoughts heavier than my body. Jasmine had offered to come with me, but I told her I needed space. I don’t think she believed me, but she let me go anyway.Archer didn’t.I could hear his footsteps behind me at first. Not close enough to crowd me, but not far enough to disappear either. Just… there. Like he always was.“Juniper,” he called softly.I stopped. For a second, I considered pretending I didn’t hear him. Pretending I could just keep walking and somehow outrun everything—Grayson’s anger, Ciara’s words, the way my chest still ached like something inside me had cracked. But I couldn’t.I turned slowly.Archer stood a few steps away, hands shoved into his pockets, his expression unreadable for once. Not teasing. Not careless. Just… careful.“You don’t have to walk me home,” I said, my voice quieter than I meant it to be.“I know,” he replied. “I want to.”That did something to me. Somethi

Juniper The hallway was nearly empty, the echo of slamming lockers and rushed footsteps fading as most students headed home. My own locker door creaked as I shoved my books inside, hands trembling too much to fit them neatly. My chest still felt raw, like my heart had been scraped open, and no amount of Jasmine’s soft words seemed to ease the sting. “Juni…” Jasmine said gently, her hand brushing my shoulder. “Grayson’s just… angry. He’ll come around, you know that.” I shook my head, biting my lip until it hurt. “You didn’t see his face, Jas. He looked at me like I betrayed him. Like I wasn’t—” My voice cracked, and I slammed my locker shut before I could completely fall apart. “Like I wasn’t his anymore.” Before Jasmine could respond, a sharp, cruel laugh cut through the hall. “Well, well,” Ciara’s voice drawled, every syllable dripping with venom. “Look who’s been knocked off her pedestal.” I froze, my spine stiffening as she sauntered up, arms folded, her perfect hair swaying

Grayson The water was the only thing that made sense right now. Stroke after stroke, I cut through it like I could outswim the image of Juniper with Archer’s mouth on hers. But no matter how deep I dove, no matter how long I held my breath until my lungs burned, it was still there— branded in my skull, taunting me. Her lips. His hands. Her silence. I slammed into the pool wall harder than I meant to, the sting shooting up my arm, but I welcomed the pain. It kept me from drowning in the storm inside my head. “Jesus, Gray,” Ivan’s voice echoed across the empty pool hall. “Trying to kill yourself or what?” I ignored him, pushing off again, my body cutting through the water in another furious lap. The chlorine stung my eyes, but I didn’t care. By the time I finally surfaced, Ivan was crouched at the edge of the pool, his elbows on his knees, watching me with that calm, steady look he always had. The look that made you feel like he saw too much. “You’re gonna tear yourself apart

Grayson The lounge was quieter than usual, a low hum of voices blending with the faint crackle of the fireplace. I was halfway through answering a text from my father when her perfume hit me — sharp, sweet, and suffocating. “Gray.” My jaw tightened before I even looked up. Ciara. She stood there like she owned the place, hair perfect, lips painted that same shade of red she used to wear when she wanted me distracted. I hadn’t seen her in weeks, not since I caught her tangled up with some other guy in the back of her car. “What do you want?” I asked flatly, already irritated. She tilted her head, fake innocence dripping off her voice. “Just checking in. You’ve been… busy. With her.” Juniper. She didn’t even have to say her name. The venom in her tone was enough. I slipped my phone into my pocket and stood, towering over her. “If you came here to run your mouth, don’t. I don’t have the patience.” But Ciara only smirked, stepping closer. “Funny, you look like a man who’s about t

Grayson The day had finally ended and I was ready to leave school and bounce. Packing up my bag with my mind worriedly whirling with thoughts about my father’s safety. “Ivan let’s all hang at archer’s place tonight” “Okay. We’ll call Cole at his place.” Ivan responds My phone suddenly started

Grayson “Holy shit dude! What’s going on? Who was that on the phone?” Archer asked looking very worried.“Catherine hired someone to kill both I and my father” I said in between tears with fear slowly starting to creep up on me. I know that it’s absurd for a guy to be crying but I just couldn’t h
