Liana’s POV

Maya’s pulse fluttered violently against my palm. She tried to yank her arm backward but I didn't budge. My grip was absolute iron while the silver wolf inside my chest was fully awake now, pacing right beneath my skin completely unwilling to let this girl squirm her way out of the truth.

“My Lady, please,” Maya whined with her voice pitching into a breathless and panicked squeak. “I can't. He'll kill me. You don't understand what you're asking!”

“I am asking for the truth.” I stepp

Drogo’s POVThe air above Carl’s main fortress tasted thick, heavy and choked with sulfur. We stood on the high ridge overlooking the sprawling, fortified encampment. Below us, thousands of square yards of stone ramparts, watchtowers and wooden barracks stretched across the valley floor. Banners bearing the crest of the northern renegades flapped lazily in the freezing wind.Behind us, bound tightly with thick silver ropes and gagged to keep her quiet, Cassandra was slung over the back of a pack horse like a sack of grain.I rested my hands on the hilt of my broadsword, my eyes narrowing as I scanned the enemy compound. Carl thought he was safe behind those high stone walls. He thought hiring witches and sending assassins through the back door would break us. He had no idea what was marching toward his front gates.“The eastern watchtower is undermanned,” Den whispered, stepping up beside me and pointing a scarred finger toward the jagged stone wall. “They pulled half their guards inw

  • The Dangerous Alpha’s Little Wolf   Chapter 80

Drogo’s POVI stood at the edge of the southern ridge, looking down over the valley where fifty of our elite vanguard soldiers had silently assembled. Every man and woman wore dark tactical gear, their faces streaked with black war paint to blend seamlessly into the fading shadows of the night. Not a single sound broke the tense silence, save for the rhythmic pawing of anxious wolves and the dull clinking of steel weapons.Behind me, the heavy snow crunched softly.I turned around. Liana walked out of the thick fog, stepping into the dim torchlight. She looked entirely like a warrior of legend. She wore a tailored black leather tunic reinforced with silver-threaded plating and her wild silver hair was braided tightly back away from her face so it wouldn’t hinder her in a fight. A sleek hunting dagger was strapped securely to her thigh and the unmistakable glow of ancient silver magic pulsed faintly just beneath her skin. She walked right up to me, stopping only when her chest pressed

  • The Dangerous Alpha’s Little Wolf   Chapter 79

Drogo’s POVThe iron door of the deep cell slammed shut with a deafning, metalic clang that echoed through the damp coridor.I stood in the torchlight, watching through the barred window as two guards shoved Ariana into the corner. She let out a pitful whimpr as the silver chains were locked around her unbroken wrist, bindng her to the wall. Her dark hair was matted with blood and ash, her clothes reduced to dirt-stained rags. She looked broken. But looking at her state brought me zero satisfacton.“Double the guard rotaton,” I growled, turning to Den, who stood beside me with a bandage wrapped around his forearm from the fire. “No one enters this coridor without my permission. If she so much as breathes wrong, put her in full wolfsbane restrants.”“Understood, Alpha,” Den replied grimly, giving a firm nod. “The perimeter is secured now. The fires upstairs are extinguishd, but the main foyer and the eastern wing suffered structur al damage. It will take weeks to rebuild.”“We rebuild

  • The Dangerous Alpha’s Little Wolf   Chapter 78

Liana’s POVThe blade whistld through the air, missing my chin by a hair’s breadth.I threw myself backward onto the slick marble floor, the heat of the surrounding flames scorchng the back of my neck. Ariana didn’t hesitate. Her face was contortd into a mask of madnes as she lunged again, the silver blade slicing downward in an arc aimed directly for my chest.'Clang!'I scrambld sideways, kicking the fallen steel crossbow directly into her shins. She stumbled with a furious screech, her heavy leather boots catching on the metal. That split second was all I needed. I scrambled to my feet, my silver magic surgng through my veins, sharpening my reflexes to an edge.“You miserable, lucky little bitch!” Ariana screamed, wiping a streak of black soot from her cheek as she recovered her balance. Her dark eyes burned with a venmous intensiy. “You were supposed to die in that basement! You were supposed to be scrubbed out like the stain you are!”“I am not your maid anymore, Ariana!” I shout

  • The Dangerous Alpha’s Little Wolf   Chapter 77

Liana’s POVThe deafening roar of the explosion still violently rang in my eardrums.Thick, blinding dust rained down from the shattered stone ceiling, instantly clogging my throat and making me cough hysterically. The dim torchlight flickered wildly before dying completely, plunging the underground hallway into pitch-black darkness. Heavy iron doors groaned in the distance, buckling under the sheer weight of falling debris.Jax’s psychotic, echoing laughter cut directly through the chaos, sounding like a demonic rasp in the pitch dark.“I told you,” the rogue taunted, his voice practically dripping with pure, malicious delight. “You are entirely too late, Alpha. The whole place is going to burn to the ground!”“Shut your filthy mouth!” Drogo bellowed.A heavy, blinding flash of golden magic suddenly burst from Drogo’s body, illuminating the ruined corridor in a bright, ethereal light. Before Jax could even blink, Drogo’s massive hand shot directly through the iron bars of the cell, w

  • The Dangerous Alpha’s Little Wolf   Chapter 76

Liana’s POVI woke up to a completely empty bed.The thick, heavy blankets still smelled intensely of pine needles and cold winter wind, but the large space beside me was entirely cold. I let out a soft groan, rubbing the sticky sleep from my eyes, and sat up. The bedroom was quiet. I shivered as the morning chill hit my bare shoulders. I reached down, grabbed Drogo’s massive black hoodie off the floor, and pulled it directly over my head.It completely swallowed me. The heavy cotton hem fell way past my knees like a ridiculous, oversized dress, and the sleeves hung loosely past my fingertips.I padded barefoot across the soft carpet. The heavy oak door clicked open before I even took three steps.Drogo walked in. He looked absolutely exhausted. His dark hair was a wild, tangled mess, and a heavy, brooding scowl was carved deeply into his handsome face. He paused, taking one long look at me standing there in the middle of the room, completely drowning in his giant sweater. Slowly, a t
