She talks a lot especially for someone whose blood I had drained half. Her voice keeps whispering things non stop. She doesn't know that I hear every single thought of her.

I can't count the number of times she has labeled me as the devil's heir since her arrival into my room.

Even though she called me such a name, I was glad that she feared me. Every single living being on earth should be afraid of me, worship me and die by my hands.

It was the only way for them to survive under my reign.

_What kind of awful Alpha would lock himself in a dark room?_

_Here needs some light._

_Forget it. He is bound to darkness forever. It's a pity that he would never understand what it feels like to be surrounded by light_

These were her thoughts and every single one of them irked me. If not for her purpose as my vessel, I would have killed instantly.

But that would cause me eternal years full agony. I was cursed with a darkness that brought nothing but pain due to a prophecy proclaimed on the day I was born.

And the only way to end this ridiculous curse was to fill my darkness into a weak human vessel.

The slave girl was chosen to contain the evil inside me and once she absorbs the darkness, she will be slaughtered and sacrificed to the moon goddess.

My eyes flickered to her side, watching every slow movement she made without sight. She crawled on her fours, feeling the air for an obstacle.

It was thrilling to see her do as she pleased knowing well that I could kill her at any time.

_I can't see a thing._

_I hope he doesn't kill me if I do this._

She crawls forward and stops at an end corner. I got up from where I sat and decided to end her adventurous delight.

But when I halt in front of her, she drags down a fabric and fills the room with sunlight.

I stumbled back to a dark corner, shocked by her audacity and troubled by being burned by the sun.

Her eyes strayed over to my side and for the first time, I saw how blue her eyes were. They were dead blue with a little sparkle which must have been caused by the sunlight she had released into my room.

"Are you out of your mind?!" I gritted my teeth, promising to kill her once the darkness was restored.

She silently strode towards me, her eyes fixed with awe as if she had seen a present.

When she stops in front of me, she does the worst thing that aggravates my anger. Touching my face with her filthy hands.

I was definitely going to kill her after this but she mutters a word that strikes my chest. "Beautiful."

For a moment, I felt my heart skip a bit. My fucking dead heart skipped.

"Do you have a death wish?"

"I have been assigned to death since the day I was born. If I am going to live with you till the day I die, then I have to get used to you." She muttered trailing her index finger on my nose.

"Are you not afraid of me?"

"I am. But I am using all the courage I have to do this. After all you own my life," she said with a dead gaze.

Her words surprised me especially the part where she said I owned her life.

This slave girl accepted her fate without questioning it. As expected of a lowlife Omega.

"Alpha, don't you think it is beautiful?"

_What exactly is wrong with this slave girl? How can she ask such a ridiculous question without ?._

She made my heart skip again just by staring into my eyes with her ocean blue eyes.

I must be sick to feel this stupid incomprehensible emotion towards her. My death must be near.

"Your room, isn't it beautiful with the light?" She questioned and I realized that she was referring to the room and not me.

I narrowed my eyes at her, irked by her stupid question yet I couldn't deny the truth in her words.

For the first time in years I could see the difference of my room with the light in it.

"Let's make a truce. During the day I let the light in and at night you take charge as you wish. I will remain your vessel for both hours. This way I can serve my purpose to you quickly and disappear from your life just as I came."

"Very well, you have my word," I agreed.

"If I may ask. Does the sun affect you?"

"That question is irrelevant." I growled, narrowing my eyes at her.

"I mean no harm and just trying to help you."

"Help me? I don't need your help, all you have to do is absorb my curse and nothing more. Just because I gave you the chance to have a truce between us does not mean I cannot fasten your death. If you want to survive under me, try not to stick your nose where it doesn't belong," I warned her then stepped into the light.

As much as I hated the sun, it couldn't burn me to death like a regular vampire. My Werewolf side played a big role in this and made it possible for me to walk around without anyone suspecting my vampiric side during the day.

"Forgive me if I have offended you with my words. It will not repeat itself again," she muttered, her head staring down at the floor.

She retreated to a corner and sat by the wall, eyes wandering around the room except me.

It was better this way, for her to know the danger she was faced with if she tried to cross me.

"Remember, you are never to leave this room unless I say so." With this said, I left my room taking the form of my original identity as the devil alpha of the Winter fall pack.

I walked into the elevator and went down to meet my cabinet members. My Beta, Vok bowed as I strode into the meeting chamber.

"The Alpha has arrived. Rise and pay your respect," Vok announced.

The elders arose from their chairs and bowed respectfully even though some of them were against my ruling.

Each of them were cunny in different ways and never to be trusted.

"You may take your seats. And keep the meeting brief." I instructed.

"Alpha, we have decided amongst ourselves that if you don't find a mate at the mating ceremony tomorrow, we will select a capable Luna to stay by your side,"Abram, the head of the council stated.

I chuckled knowing what they had planned. Abram Miller was my enemy. If not for my father's dying wish to keep him as the head of the pack's council, I would have killed him long ago.

A greedy old fart with a worthless ambition for my position as the pack leader.

"That shouldn't be any of your business. My Luna will come to me just as the prophecy says. I know what you want Abram. Do you think throwing your daughter at me would give you the chance to overthrow me? This is my last warning, if any of you bring up the matter of finding a Luna for me, I will not hesitate to end that person's household." I declared with an authoritative voice.

Dominating them with my dark aura until they cowered back in fear. They knew better than anyone not to go against my order.

Being merciless was my talent and I never hesitated to use it on defiants.

"Is there anyone who wishes to speak should come forward." I broke the silence after a few minutes.

"Greetings, alpha. It is I, Madam Lafayette. The celestial servant of the moon goddess."

I looked towards her position, acknowledging her presence. Madam Lafayette was an old woman that had been serving the Alpha family in winter fall for generations.

It was unreasonable not to listen to her message especially those from the moon goddess directly.

"What do you have for me, madam Lafayette?"

"I come with good news, alpha. On the night of the mating ceremony, during the hour of the golden moon under the oak tree of life you shall meet your Luna. She shall come in a luminous glow and only you shall meet her. If you fail to find her at the right hour, you will lose your powers alpha and die after three days. This is the message of the Moon goddess.”

  • The Dark Alpha's Secret mate    Epilogue

5 years later The birds were tweeting. The weather was beautiful. It was the kind that was warm to the skin, because the sun had not come out that much, but it was sort of chilly. Like a blend of two. Cold and hot equaled warm. I was jealous of the weather.A smile began to creep onto my face. Breakfast would be awesome here. I coughed into the crook of my elbow. Oh, this cough. It was something else. I looked down at myself. Guess I have to wait to be normal again. I went to the fridge, grabbed a bottle of water, and poured some into a glass. Suddenly something flashed in my eyes. What was— oh. I sighed.“Maxine!” I screamed. That young lady was doing too much these days. She had zoomed past me.“Coming, Mum!” came the cheery voice. What was she up to now? I turned to go check that out when I felt someone touch my shoulders. “Have this baby.” Knox put a strawberry into my mouth. I smiled. “Thanks, sweetheart.” I said in a muffled voice. I opened my mouth, and as he put it into min

“Hurry!” The guard guiding us whispered in the darkness. Lilith grabbed my arm. “We will be there soon,” she said, and I nodded. We continued running. Even though I could no longer go on but I pushed on. I loved my baby, but I hated that I was pregnant now, at all times. We kept running through the woods until I stopped. “You okay?” Lilith asked. “I…I... need. To … breath” my cheat rose and fell as I put my hands on my waist. The guard stopped. He was either irritated or scared. I couldn’t tell. That look he gave me made me stand again and we continued running. We kept running till we got to the end of the pack. I was out of breath, my mouth was open like funnel as I tried to breath. “We will wait here,” the guard said, in between breaths. A car appeared and we got in. The car pulled up at a huge dock. My eyes widened as I stared at the ship. “It’s huge,” I muttered. “Yes” Lilith nodded. We stood and watched them board. We queued up. When it was getting to our turn, I s

My eyes were ripped open by a flash of light. I squinted and used my hand to block the light. Unaware of my surroundings, I tried to turn, but I felt an intense pain in my foot. “Ah,” I tried to rub it, but I couldn't reach my leg. “She’s awake “I hears someone yell and instantly the room was surrounded by maid and then a disheveled-haired Lilith came running in. “Nina!” She touched my face. Her eyes were red, and she sniffed. Were those tears? Had she been crying? Wait a minute, what happened last? I stretched my hand to her. “Help me sit,” I croaked. She put her arm behind me and gently pulled me up. While up, my eyes scanned the room. I needed no telling that I was at the royal physician’s office. “Are you okay? Do I get you something?” Lilith asked. I slowly shook my head. “Where are we?” I asked. Her eyes widened. “You don’t remember?” she asked. I was about to shake my head when suddenly it hit me. The last thing I remember was gasping for breath and banging on the

I couldn’t breathe. I froze, like I had been rooted to that spot. Staring right back at me with tear-stained eyes and a mucus-running nose was none other than the nurse from the clinic. The one who had interrupted the doctor. She was wearing a maid's uniform. She must have a part-time nose. I briefly shut my eyes. I knew I had seen her at the palace. I cast a glance at Lilith. She looked icy, she wanted to cry. I smiled sadly. It was now obvious, even to the blind, that Ashira knew I was with child. “Why do you seem shocked, Nina?” I quickly raised my head to stare at Ashira. She crossed her arms and had a smirk on her face. Then I recalled her attitude when she came in. Now it all makes sense. ] “Oh, it’s nothing,” I smiled nervously. “Do you know her?” she probed further. She was basking in the moment of my confusion, her smirk widening by the minute. I shook my head. “Of course I don’t,” I said. “Oh really?” Ashira smirked. I nodded. Ashira walked around the room and p

  • The Dark Alpha's Secret mate    She knows

The days that followed the making of Vincent, Knox's brother, the acting alpha, were filled with horror. For reasons best known to themselves, werewolves in the winter fell pack began to commit suicide. At first, I felt bad, and when the 3rd and 4th person died, I knew something was wrong. And just like Lilith had told me, Vincent Camden was a disaster for the winter fell pack. After the suicides, he sympathized with the families and gave them some money. People began to talk good about him, and I told Lilith maybe people were just scared. But little did we know that was the only good thing Vincent Camden would do. After that sympathy show, he approved witches and vampires to come as they like in the pack. This change created a room for evil in the pack. When one has issues, all they have to do is go to a witch and get a potion. The next thing you would hear was that the other werewolf was dead. Then came the tax. Werewolves were not money-driven. They preferred to live in pea

  • The Dark Alpha's Secret mate    Scared Shitless

“Are you sure she works in the palace?” Lilith said as soon as we got into the car. I shrugged. “I think it was just in your head,” Lilith said. “You sure?” She nodded. I stared at her and she smiled. “Believe me, Nina.” I gave her a small smile and turned to my side of the car. While we rode back, I was deep in thought, what if she heard what the doctor said? My heart broke. I looked down and rubbed my belly. I was scared for my baby and myself. We got back to the palace just in time before the gates were closed. Lilith called a few of her maid friends and her stepson, Lucas, to my chambers. She said it would act as a noise distraction. So whenever they hear anything coming from my room, we could easily say it was Lucas. Lilith tried to make me feel safe, but I was still troubled. The girl from the clinic made me worried. As I slept that night, I tried to assure myself that it was just in my head. ****************************************************************************
