Chapter 5

Alex kissed her again. Slowly this time. Then he slipped his tongue inside her mouth again and stroked inside her mouth until she was caught up with his movements. This time her tongue synchronized with his rhythm.

“That’s it, much better,” Alex whispered against her lips and continued to kiss her. Her lips were soft, and her mouth tasted sweet. He could kiss her all night. She seemed to be slowly starting to enjoy it. Her body wasn’t as tense as it was before.

“See? Now you know how to French kiss. How did that feel?” he asked.

“It…it was nice,” she said quietly and turned her face away.

Alex was surprised at her admission. Wow, this girl really is innocent, he thought.

Her anger was mostly directed toward her father. How could he agree to Alex’s terms so easily? He was supposed to protect her with his life! Couldn’t he find another way to make amends with Alex?

Which was why she was accepting of her fate. She had to force herself to agree with sleeping with Alex, but as she laid here in front of him, completely naked and exposed, she was terrified.

It was either being murdered by this ruthless man or giving up her body. She chose the latter. She expected Alex to throw her in bed and take her virginity in the most painful way possible, but he was being surprisingly gentle. What was his deal? Was this just the calm before the storm?

“You aren’t falling asleep on me, are you?” Alex spoke, and she stopped daydreaming. “Because I am not done with you yet,” he said.

“N…no…I am not,” Saoirse said quickly.
