Chapter 6

"Where's mom?" I asked, not getting a glimpse of her in the living room.

"In her room" He answered.I turned my heels, dragging my feet towards my parent's room but my steps came to a halt after hearing my brother's words.

"I hope they don't choose her" He sigh.I frowned, turning back and stared at his back before peeking from behind him.

"Who?" I asked, a little too loud I guess, considering the way his slumped shoulders moved up and he stepped away in an instant.

"The hell? You startled me" He scowled, pressing his palm on his chest.

"Who is this mysterious 'her'?" I ask, staring at him curiously.His face flushed but it was gone as fast as it had appeared.

"Did you perhaps find your mate and didn't tell us?" I jumped to the very first conclusion I could assume.His pupils expanded, and lips parted but he cleared his throat.His face went back to the poker one.His expressions changes so fast, it can be missed by people but I have always been a great observer.

"It was for you and yes, I
