Chapter 2

Author: Falling Snow
The few audiences that were affected by the event were scolding her.

The manager of the cinema, Ben Reid, rushed in with a few security guards.

“What happened?

“Everyone, calm down! Don’t create a stampede!”

Ben looked at the commotion and yelled.

I pressed my hand against my neck and walked toward Ben.

I showed him my blood-covered palm.

“This child punctured my artery with a needle. I fear it’s medical waste that carries high-risk viruses.

“I’m requesting the scene to be cordoned off immediately, and for this mother and son to be controlled.

“Call the police and an ambulance. Please also notify the centers for disease control and prevention.”

My logic was clear and my tone was extremely cold.

Ben glanced at the needle on the floor and looked at the blood on me.

His face went pale.

If they did not manage the situation well, the reputation of the cinema would be compromised.

“Quick! Cover that thing up and don’t let anyone else touch it!

“Security! Detain those two people! No one is allowed to leave!”

Ben was decisive and immediately instructed the security guards to take action.

Mary realized she could not leave, so she sat on the floor and started to make a scene.

“Help! The security guards are hitting us!

“Is this a lawless land? How can you bully a poor pair of mother and son?

“My husband is Greg Smith! Touch me and see what will happen to you!

“When he’s here, he’ll tear this cinema apart!”

Greg Smith?

Once Ben heard the name, his expression changed.

That name sounded familiar.

However, the crowd did not care about it.

“I don’t care who your husband is!

“You still have to pay for what you did! Your son is attempting murder!”

“Everyone, take their photos and videos and spread them on the internet! Let’s expose them!”

Everyone filmed Mary.

There were camera flashes.

Mary was frantic. She tried to hide her face and snatch at their phones.

“Don’t you dare take my photos! This is a violation of my portrait rights!

“Put down your phones!”

The situation was out of control.

I stood on the side and felt the wound on my neck getting warmer.

The feeling of the viruses entering my body made me shiver.

However, I had to hold on.

I stared at the needle intently.

It was not a normal needle.

It was a lot thicker with blue marks on the side.

It did not look like a regular injector.

If anything, it looked like a sample from some professional lab.

I studied biology in university, so I had some vague memories of these devices.

Such an item would not appear in a random person’s sewing kit.

Mary was lying, and it was a huge lie.

Ten minutes later, the police sirens could be heard.

A few policemen walked through the crowd.

“Who called the police? What’s going on?”

The leading policeman looked serious.

I stepped forward and recapped the situation to them.

The officer, Peter Swift, put on his gloves and carefully picked up the needle from the floor and put it in an evidence bag.

He glanced at the remnant and frowned.

“This doesn’t look like a regular sewing needle.

“This is a medical needle. Looking at it, it’s usually used for veterinarians or special cases.”

Mary was shocked by the statement.

“Vet?

“Impossible! I simply bought it from a market!”

Her eyes flickered and cold sweat broke out on her forehead.

“We’ll take samples of the fingerprints and remnants, and we’ll know if it’s been bought.”

Peter glanced at her coldly.

“Take her in for investigation!”

The two younger policemen stepped forward and grabbed Mary.

“I’m not going anywhere! Why are you capturing me?”

They said in unison. They sounded sweet, but it was terrifying. A few young police officers turned around to throw up. Peter started to tear up. He rushed forward and grabbed Greg’s collar. Then, he punched him. “Jerk!“What a complete jerk!”Greg’s mouth started to bleed but he was still smiling. “They’re happy. They’re not suffering, and they don’t have any troubles.“They only belong to me. “This is art! It’s perfect art!” He was completely insane. It was completely inhumane. He had turned these young women into his personal toys. I looked at those young women. They were only in their early twenties. Their lives were just starting. However, they were trapped in this dungeon. I recalled what Charlie had said. “The pretty lady fell asleep after the jab, just like sleeping beauty.”It turned out that this was what he was referring to. I felt very sad. I was sad for these young women and this despicable world. “Bring them all away!“Seal this pla

“Do you have evidence?” I asked. The other person sent me a blurry photo. It had been taken near the lift entrance. Greg was holding a young woman who had a blank expression into the lift. That young woman looked like an expressionless puppet. The lift button that was lit up was the underground floor. Even though Greg’s face could not be clearly seen, the limited-edition gold watch on his wrist was apparent. It was concrete evidence. I immediately sent that photo to Peter. At the same time, I uploaded the photo online. I wrote a caption. [Is this the so-called good doctor? Is this so-called transfer to a different hospital?[Mr. Smith, what are you hiding in the hospital’s underground?]That photo was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Everyone online was shocked. Numerous netizens started to tag the police forces and requested them to look into Kindness Hospital. Big media outlets started to report on the incident. One of the big newspaper outlets comment

  • The Demon Child   Chapter 8

I titled the article: The CEO of Kindness Hospital, Greg Smith, turned a person into a puppet using Angel’s Kiss!I coupled it with a photo of the bloody needle and my medical report. I also quoted Charlie’s words at the police station. “The pretty lady became a sleeping beauty after the jab.”I did not exaggerate anything. I was only recounting the story. It was a story that involved a cinema, a rude child, and a powerful CEO. In the end, I tagged the hospital and all major media outlets. Then, I added a final sentence: If I’m dead, this is my last letter. After that, I hit send. The article immediately blew up online. It grew faster than I had expected. Within an hour, I had more than a hundred thousand shares. The hashtags on the poisoned needle, Greg, the Angel’s Kiss, as well as the puppet had gone viral. Everyone was commenting fervently. [Oh my God! If this is true, this is basically a horror film in real life!][Kindness Hospital? I visited there last we

I finally felt alive. “But…”He then put on a serious expression. “We found a rare chemical in your blood. “There isn’t a name for it on the market.“However, in the black market, the name of it is ‘Angel’s Kiss’.”Angel’s Kiss? It sounded beautiful, but I could not help but shiver. “It’s an experimental drug that can control someone’s nervous system.“Its main purpose is to brainwash someone. With a large dosage, the person will lose consciousness and become a puppet.“Besides, it’s very quickly metabolized, so it’s hard to detect. If we hadn’t been using the latest equipment, we wouldn’t have been able to detect it.” I fell silent. It was a brainwashing drug. No wonder Charlie said that after the jab, that pretty lady became a sleeping beauty. No wonder Greg was so arrogant. He was holding a weapon that could control someone’s consciousness! He could run a cult!“Thank you, doctor.”I stood up and thanked the doctor sincerely. After I left the hospital, I f

“Mr. Conrad, say something! Bail me out!” The smug lawyer, Mr. Conrad, pretended to look at his phone instead. No one dared to take up such a case. I stood aside and watched the scene. I did not feel sympathy. I just felt a thrill from taking revenge, and a deep fear. If I had not spoken up earlier, I would have died randomly a few days later. No one would be able to pinpoint the cause. “Mr. Smith.”I walked toward Greg. I bent down and looked at his bloodshot eyes. “You were saying that getting rid of me is as easy as squashing an ant. It seems like this ant is rather tenacious.“On the other hand, a lion like you is going to fall to your death.”Greg stared intently at me. The viciousness was leaking from his eyes. “Young man, don’t get cocky. Do you think this is the end of it?“You have no idea who you’ve offended.“The people behind this would make sure you meet the end of your life!” He was still threatening me, but I was no longer afraid. I had already

Mary stopped crying, and Charlie stopped drinking his milk. I held my breath. The forensic doctor, Dr. White, glanced at Greg and then me. He gulped and said with a trembling voice. “It’s not AIDS.”Greg let out a sigh of relief and put on a smug smile. “I’ve told you—”“But!” Dr. White interrupted him and raised his voice. “The remaining liquid in the tube had a high concentration of tetrodotoxin.“It’s the latest banned drug.“The combination usually only appears in illegal labs.”Greg’s smile froze, and color drained from his face. Mary did not understand. She was still asking, “What tetrodotoxin? What medicine is that?”However, I understood. So did the police officers. It was no longer a simple assault case. It involved the manufacturing of illegal drugs. I laughed when I saw Greg’s fallen expression. Peter’s eyes immediately changed. His gaze immediately turned sharp. He stood up and pressed his hand on the gun against his waist. “Lock the door!“
