Lillian Pov

It has been a few hours since Asher and I kissed, and I have been blushing ever since. It feels like we are teenagers again. Maybe we are teenagers at heart.

“Still blushing,” a voice whispered in my ear, startling me. I flinched, looking at Asher.

“Don’t do that, you scared me,” I said, touching my heart. He chuckled.

“You are all red and Ella should have sensed me itching close to you,” he said, shrugging his shoulders. I look away from him, knowing I have not heard from her in forever. I just hope she is somewhere in me, still alive but just silent. The door opened, and the maids came inside with our food.

“Sky,” I called, looking at him on the bed Asher gave him in the office. But the damn dog ignored me. I sighed, standing up.

“Time to eat,” I said, taking his two front paws. I dragged him from the bed and he looked at me, enjoying my struggle.
