The room is dark, and I can’t move my body.

Am I asleep still?

Trying to pry open my eyelids, I feel a force trying to pull at me from the side. Then the ground shakes all around me.

Finally, I open my eyes and everything was still dark.

I tried to open my mouth to call out for help, but whispers filled my ears instead.

“Bahm?” The voice in my head searches out for my mate.

“I’m right here!” He replies back, but I couldn’t see where he was. The room was so dark!

“Where Bahm?”

“Right here!”

The ground underneath the bed shakes, and I feel my body sinking into the bed.

What’s going on?

Have I lost my vision again?

“Bahm I can’t see...where are you!”

After what feels like I had sunk to the bottom of a cave, a distorted face comes closely to my vision. I blink quickly, adjusting my vision through the darkness and I make out eyes.
