3. Cuts and Bruises

Elisha’s POV

"And who the hell are you again?" I grabbed the man who was standing in front of the hospital while I was mad at him. I want to thank him for saving me again, but he doesn't have to put himself through this trouble to save me.

I shook my head. “You can’t just show up in front of my house and tell everyone that you’re marrying me. You don’t know anything about me, and in fact, we just met last night.”

He sighed and put his thumb on the corner of my lower lip. "That's perfect, right? We don't know each other, so there's no physical intimacy between us. You would marry me because you wanted to get away from your family, and I would marry you for my own reasons. Deal or no deal?"

I'm so annoyed by what he said and his complete inability to comprehend what I was trying to convey that it makes my blood boil.

I inhaled my anger, slowly blinked my eyes and looked at his very unusual eyes. It looks like dark golden eyes, and it seems strange. When I tried to figure out what was going on with his eyes, he turned away. Then I put my hand on my face in a hard way and said something quietly. "I don't understand you…and please, don’t talk to me anymore.”

"I don't know why I have to do this for you either."

When three expensive cars pulled up in front of the hospital, three guys in black suits seemed to be looking for someone. After taking a look around, Arman stood up, and the other three guys bowed to him.

My Mom and Dad just got out of the hospital. Then my sister frowned at me, and they couldn't believe that the guy they thought I picked up on the street was a billionaire.

I heard one of the guards say, “Your father was looking for you the whole night, King.”

King?

I just didn't mind it all, since maybe it’s normal for them to be called King because of their wealth.

To my surprise, Harry's car is going to crash into me. He tried his best to stop his vehicle but was out of control because he was drunk all night and had a hangover. Then my eyes rounded in fear because the car was about to hit me, but I was surprised to see Arman jump in front of me and carry me in the opposite direction so easily. We both fell down on the ground while he tried to put his hand over my head.

I was gasping for air because I was so shocked, so shocked to think how could he acted so fast!

I saw that Harry's car was on fire, and a medic came to get Harry out. Then my lips trembled in terror as I saw that Arman's body doesn't have any cuts or scratches, but mine does.

I whispered. “Impossible…..”

He stood up and helped lift me to my feet. He pulled me up, and I was still staring at him in disbelief. I shook my head in confusion, and gulped continuously, I don’t have a proper words to say to him.

He leaned over and check my bruises, “You are going to be fine.”

“How….” I paused for a moment, and looked up at him. “How did you do that?”

His lips formed into a wise smile, and his face darkened when few people coming towards us. He was about to say something, but he pursed his lips, and looked around. He saw that all of his men waiting for him to stepped inside his van. So he cupped my face, and sighed. “I have to go…..”

My father sprinted over to check on me and asked, "Are you alright? Doctor! Would you please have a look at my daughter?"

They brought me inside the hospital while Arman and his men were leaving, and I don't know when I will see him again or if this will be the last time I could see him at all. I'm not sure which it is.

How did he manage to save me in the nick of time, or how did he possess such strength? That was extremely unlikely for me, but he opened up the possibility of it happening.

Cristella walked in while the nurse put some bandage on my arm, she put her hand on her hips and sighed, “Look at you, you are still alive.”

She laughed nervously, and was about to light her cigarette when the nurse said, “No smoking here.”

Cristella rolled her eyes, “Alright.” she put back the cigarette in her pocket and glanced at me, “Where did that guy come from? I saw him—he saved you in just a blink of an eye. Wow! That’s amazing!”

I bit my lower lip, “I don’t know…it’s just happened so fast.”

Cristella doubtedly stared at me, and mom and dad just came in. They all look worried for me, and they both hug me.

“Are you okay? Is your head okay? Is there some pain you felt?” Mom asked.

Cristella said, “She’s totally fine….and she’s not a kid anymore, ew!”

Dad asked, “Where is that man who saved you?”

“I don’t know.” That's all that I can say to them.

“I know that you are still in trauma about what happened, but we wanted to know who’s that man in your life.” Mom said.

I looked up at them, and tried to walk slowly. I don’t even know what to say to them about the guy named Arman. I only met him last night, and there’s a lot happening within twenty four hours.

“She’s still in shock, maybe we can talk to her later.” Dad said.

Cristella laughs softly. “Maybe she’s lying, and she’s hiding the truth. That guy never wanted to marry her, I knew it. I have never seen that man in her life, only last night. And it was so strange that he came up with the idea of marrying her.”

I smiled at my sister, “Are you jealous because nobody wants to marry you? Even Harry hates someone like you.”

Cristella was speechless when she heard that from me, she didn’t react, she stopped herself from hurting me because we are in the hospital. I walked away from them—alone. Until my best friend arrived, Kayla.

She opened her car for me, “We got a lot of things to talk about.”

I sighed. “I know.”

When we were on our way to her flat, she said. "So what actually happened? Do you know that Harry's parents are going to sue your parents for the harm they've caused? It's so stupid, or if it's not, they'll take everything from your parents, including their properties."

"I don't know how to get away from Harry. First, he physically hurt me, and then today, I came perilously close to losing my life because of his reckless driving,"  I let out a muffled sigh.

“Oh, Damn….That man is no good to you, but all I can say is good luck to your future if you agree to marry him—” Kayla thumped the brake to stop the car from running when a black Mercedes Benz stopped us in the middle of the road.

“Fuck!” Kayla cursed.

Because I was angry, I rubbed my forehead and got out of the car. Arman was the one who stopped us. He approached me like a powerful man in a demanding tone. "You need to come with me."

"I'm not—" He didn't wait for me to finish; instead, he took me into his vehicle, which left Kayla completely speechless.

Arman locked the door and returned to Kayla to tell my friend something. Then he came back to the backseat and sat next to me with a smirk on his face.

“You can’t do this to me!”

“I like you….”

I bit my lower lip in disbelief, “Well, I don’t like you.”

“They said that in order for me to mark a human mate is....to marry her, so I’m marrying you tonight.”

I can’t believe this man, and I glared at him in frustration. “What the hell are you talking about?”
