23. Doom at your service!

★ELAINE'S POV★

As I walked through the long hallway heading back to my room, the echoes of my name split through the atmosphere. Almost at once, I recognized the voice as Tania's so I halted and turned toward the direction of the voice.

“Lady Elaine!" She appeared from the corners, running towards me.

Instantly, my brows laced with worry. What could be wrong? Did something happen? I asked myself. But watching her run showed how much her wounds have healed, so it had to be something else.

By the time she got to me, she paused, panting heavily while trying to catch her breath at the same time.

I waited patiently until she was finally able to talk.

“What's wrong, Tania?" I asked, arching a brow.

She straightened her posture and faced me. “There is a woman at the pack center, who happens to be a soothsayer and she's predicting people's future."

Was this why she ran to me?
