Chapter 17

Mirabel's POV

I kept on sobbing, with my arms wrapped around my best friend tightly, I felt her hands move around my back to calm me down.

"This is the longest day of my life, Arabella," I said as I stopped sobbing.

She freed me from the tight hug, using her hands to clean the tears from my face. "It's okay, let's go inside, we can talk inside," she said and I nodded, it was cold out here, and I wonder how long she sat on my porch waiting for me...

"Why didn't you use your spare key?" I asked her, she has a key to my apartment, so why stay outside when it was cold?

"I left my house in worry, I didn't have the time to check if my key was with me" I nodded in response hearing her explanation as we entered the house.

I walked into the apartment and threw myself on the couch out of tiredness.

"What should I make, are you hungry?" I heard Arabella ask me.

"I'm not hungry I just need water," I said to her and she nodded to me walking to the kitchen to get water for me. I ate a lot of
