I hadn't seen Alex since last night. Slapping him was something I didn't regret— it may have been daring but I didn't care—, I wasn't going to let him touch me anyhow he pleased, especially after what he did but also…a small part of me couldn't even blame him. I saw a marriage contract and he claimed that my father had signed it before he died and the signature on it was exactly like father's but how do I believe his words?

A sad sigh slipped from my lips, my back landing on the mattress with a soft thud, the warm rays of the afternoon sun grazed my skin, a constant reminder of my wedding day which he ruined…of how he killed Rico and I was going to make him pay for it even though I didn't know how.

A small push at the door pulled me from my thoughts and my heart skipped a beat.
