The next morning, Stefano stirrred softly in his sleep as I watched the rise and fall of his chest.

I got out of the bed with one intention in mind. i wanted to make him breakfast in mind. He has been going through hetic days and I suspected that he needed moments like this. Something that would make the corners of his lips curl with a smile.

Heading towards the kitchen, I met Maria thre. I rubbed my eyes, suprised. I wasn't expecting to see her, she had been taking frequent breaks because she wanted to remarry. Stefano cared so much her and would always give her the breaks each time she requested for one.

“Hey Bella.” She greeted, eyes glancing up.

“Hey…” I hesistated. “Did you tell him you'd be coming today?”

“No.” She shook head. “I wanted to suprise him.”

“Hmm okay.” I replied. “I'll just assist you then, I'm trying to give him breakfast in mind. I hope he doesn't stand up from the bed soon.”

“I promise you, he won't just yet.” she responsed and I laughed, holding the words with f

Before I knew it, she broke into sob.I looked around just to check if anyone was watching us. I didn't want her to drag attention to our direction. I didn't have the strength to start explaining on why I was asking about Annabel. It was questionable because I didn't meet her here so anybody would want to know why I was curious about her and who had told me about her enough me to be curious.I shifted next to her and patted her back. “You see that's why we need to find out what exactly happened to her.”Suddenly Cassandra rose to her feet. “I can't handle it anymore, I missed my friends so bad.” Her voice was loud enough for everyone to hear and she got their attention. Everyone paused what they were doing and they glared towards our direction with confused expressions.“What's happening here?” Amelia's friend asked as she popped her chewing gun.“I don't know.” Amelia regarded Casandra with a look that seemed like she thought Cassandra was mad. “Why you suddenly talking about Annabel

The usual was yet to happen. We were all dressed waiting for madam livia to come inside and then do her usual picking but she was no where to be found. I waited anxiously, tapping my heels against the tiles. Soon, I glanced at the wallclock next to me. It was 9:30pm, she usually showed up by 9:00 on the dot so this was new for me.Cassandra walked closer to me and sat on bed. “Hey,” she greeted.I shifted on the bed, giving her more space to sit on.“Seems like you're avoiding me.” She said, her tiny voice touching my ears.“Am I?” I asked my eyes widened. She nodded, her face morphing into a sad expression.“I'm sorry you feel that way.” I apologized and the across the room, I caught Lisa's stern eyes watching me.I made a gesture of zipping my mouth with my hands before Casandra could notice what I was doing. Lisa nodded and walked away.“It's alright,” she nooded with a tight lipped smile. “So how are you prepared for tonight's activities.”“I am not doing anything much to prepare.

“We really don't have any choice.” I repeated and she frowned.“You're right but what is bad about a little girl that wants to hope?” She asked and shrugged.“Nothing.” I simply replied and she laughed. She was right. We had to keep our hopes alive, if we had no hope then we were as good as dead so therefore we must keep hopes alive so we may find a reason to keep going in this shitty place. We stayed together in silence for a little while and I decided to ask the question that has been on my lips for the longest while.“So how did you get here?” She looked at me and pressed her lips into a thin line. Then she stared straight ahead. Her silence unnerved me and I began to hope that I hadn't asked her anything in the first place.I cleared my throat. “Please pretend I never said anything. I'm sorry.” I apologized. I didn't want to ruin my friendship with her because I was being too nosy. She chuckled and waved a dismissive flick of her wrist. “I'll tell you.” She whispered while we sti

The next morning when I woke up, I acted like nothing had happened. And like I hadn't already looked for a way to escape this hell hole of a place. I did my normal activities as usual and rested on my bed while I was done. Since I didn't have a phone here, I just looked up at the wooden bunk as I tried to observe all its intricate carvings. It was fascinating and most importantly, well done. It occurred to me that I missed my phone. I had been talking about how much I had missed my family but now I missed my phone. I thought about Tomasso and how he was doing. I wondered if he had finally regain his memory. Maybe my absence would make him remember my presence in his life.“...you.” Lisa drew my attention from my thoughts as she laid on my bed.“How are you doing?” I asked, straightening my posture and laying my back on the phone.“Well what can I say?” She asked a rhetorical question. “Must be really tough huh?” I chuckled. “Being the only that takes orders from madam livia everytime

Bella hasn't been home in months. Her absence is loud so as the ache in my chest. I really wished I could have prevented her from not leaving the other night and as I continued to think of it, there wasn't much I could have done. Stefano is stubborn and she was the type to put her mind on something and have it done immediately and no matter how how I could have tried to stop her. I missed her so bad that it hurt me. This was the longest she had been far from me eversince we had gotten married. She was my other half, the bed felt too empty without her presnce, too wide and annoyingly big. I didn't need this much space to lie down. I couldn't even sleep. Each night I would imagine she was on the other side of the mind before I could sleep. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it felt like I was making a fool of myself. No imagination could fill the gap. It's either I had her or I didn't have her with me. Everything that we have done to search for her have proven to be futile. I was almost

For some reasons, I trusted him and believed that he was Saying the truth when he talked about saving me. My eyes lit up with joy but I tried not to act on it too much. “Thank you, I really appreciate.” I said to him and he nodded.“Yes we are doing this together and I would help you.” He assured me not my only concern was I didn't know if je should be the one assisting me with all of this seeing that he had romantic intentions towards me. I didn't want to make it look like I would hurt his feelings. Because once he helped me get out the door he would want to purse whatever romantic interest he had towards me and if he found out tha I had a husband he might be mad at me so I had tell him now… once and for all if he was going to do this for me, he should do it without expecting anything from me. That was that about that and that was it.“You seem like you have something to say to me.” He asked snd I shook my head.“Umm.” I stuttered. I shook my head. I couldn't blow up my chance of ge
